This should be a quick FAQ of some common questions.

Is [MOD NAME HERE] working?  Has anyone made a mod that does [X], [Y], or [Z] that either replaces an existing mod or does a new function?  Does [MOD THAT DOES THIS] exist?
+  Check to see if the release or update date of said mod is newer than March 1st.  If it is older than March 1st, it most likely does not work.
-  You can find release dates on #mod-releases in the modding discord, Thunderstore, or R2Modman.  There's a giant red disclaimer on Thunderstore, so you came from there to ask here, you're really aren't the most perceptive, huh?

Is R2API being worked on?
+  Duh.  Of course it is.

A new patch broke some mods, what do I do?
+  Same as the first question.  Check the release date or update date of the mod.  If it is newer than the patch-date, then it should work.

When will mods be back up?
-  Nobody knows.  This takes time.  Have patience.  Keep an eye on mod-releases.

I saw a video/post/image/etc. of someone still playing with mods!
-  Best bet is that they are either testing for the update or are using an older version of ROR2 before the March Update to preserve modding until the mod community updates R2API.

How do I go to the previous version?
-  Good fuckin' luck.  ROR2 doesn't make it easy, so I'm not the guy to ask.

Aight so both FasterScrapper and Faster3DPrinter cause the camera to go under the map and for the game to softlock when you spawn in, while additionally removing the buttons in the confirmation screens for both the Exit to Menu and Exit to Desktop options. So yeah, don't use those until they're updated.

a lot of character mods are based on cut content, either in ideas or the code. Examples include, all of the ROR1 survivors that didn't make the cut, Paladin, and Bomber. Although I am surprised nobody made any mod based on Assassin, as they definitely exist in code.

Hey guys. i have just basic mods like betterUi ,itemstats and faster scrapper printer . The game loads to 100% and just doesnt move from that. Any fix to that?

Any mods updated after March 1st should probably work, anything before that is an area of uncertainty. If you want to see if mods still work you're gonna have to do a 1-by-1 approach to see which ones function and which don't.

A lot of mods are broken at the moment, right now just consider everything 'older' than March 1st as Deprecated, aka don't expect them to work.

There are probably some internal code revisions in the base game that those mods still haven't accounted for, so there is no guarantee that those mods would work no

It's a complete game update after all, everything will have to probably update once to iron out compatibility issues anyway
