if I'm looking at the chart right I think it's exactly equal, each stack gives as much damage reduction % as block chance as 15 extra armor does
It would be the same up till the 10th stack (60% block chance to 60% damage reduction)
But after that, armor would take off as hyperbolic scaling takes place

the calculator on the armor page says 1500 armor is 93.75% damage reduction
100 tougher times being 93.8% damage reduction
so it seems they're very close

DR is always active
I think it's really interesting that point for point, tougher times is stronger as flat armor per stack than it is as hyperbolic block chance per stack
With block chance, there's always the chance for it to fail, no matter how high the chance

to calculate the actual average damage reduction of normal tougher times you need a table of damage values of every enemy in the game in percent relation to your hp
then you do some funny dispersions
find the average % damage you get chonked of from your hp
and then apply that 13% of tougher times
I guess tougher times won't do shit once every hit from an enemy deals 100% of your maximum combined hp, shield, and barrier in damage
vs armor, which would still allow you to get hit without dying

also, beyond like several hours, the game stops spawning enemies or bosses even during teleporter events because it deems them too easy

i’m at the point in this modpack where it’s more efficient for me to only pick up legendaries because the rest would take too long and break the game too much

Does anyone know how SacrificeRemix actually increases spawn rate and/or is there a way for me to check by reading the dll or something?
I suspect it's changing the multiplier for coeff for director income from 0.4 to 1.25 but I can't be sure
it might just be adding an extra factor of 1.25 but if even still that's a rather small change in the numbers for such a big change in spawn rate

whatever gives me the witch's ring (hits that deal 500% damage activate on kill effects) and starstorm's relic of cognation (enemies respawn on death as a phantom that takes less damage and deals less damage)

I figured out how to give corpsebloom reborn a stacking downside
you increase the decay each stack so that eventually it's decaying at 100% per tick at high enough stacks
which makes it worthless

I've found my new favorite setup for farming lunar coins
it turns out when every enemy spawns 3 additional enemies, the chance of a lunar coin from each real enemy is about 19% and the chance of a lunar coin after five real enemies is 74%
and it only gets worse from there
it looks like this
for 4 kills per enemy, the chance of getting a coin after 10 real enemies is "decent" all the way up to 9 coins obtained
and with sacrifice remix's flat 1% chance to grant an item per kill (ignoring value of enemy, value of cognation and souls being 0), you can expect 1 item drop for free every ~55 real kills)
the sacrifice remix 1% chance to grant an item per kill on any kill effect is too powerful though outside of sacrifice so I'm going to have to disable it globally
also have I mentioned I fucking love 2D heatmaps

hate it when people put balance changes in a mod that does something unrelated
Zets isn't the most amazingly balanced anyways
I personally recommend running EliteRework with AspectAbilities
Then get ConfigAspectDropChance and change the chance to whatever you want

oh right, because it turns them into yellow items and increases drop rate
the default drop chance is 1 in 4000, right?
zetaspects does have the benefit of making them yellow items and stackable, which is nice
are there any mods that let you do multiple Void Fields per run?
Also all the buffs you apply to the elite aspects are applied to the monsters, so I always view it as an equal trade off. As far as "balance" goes even at a 1 in 500 chance to drop they are rare but they should be strong because for every aspect that drops you'll probably 3 or more red items. So IMO they should be stronger than reds.
The nice thing with zets too is you can do the conversion thing, so if you'd rather have the aspect ability that comes with the aspect you can use it as an equipment (this also prevents mithrix from stealing it). It just gives you control over something that should be strong but HG decided to make into an essentially underwhelming Easter egg.
The thing about those buffs being applied to enemies is that there's a good reason why some things aren't given to enemies outright
Zets I find is more designed around player use than enemy use
It definitely is. But every elite benefits from it and I have it set up so they can all use their abilities as well. I also don't have the drop rate compensation thing on so there are a lot of runs where I don't get one.
But when they do drop it's not like "oh look an aspect, lame" it's "fuck yeah, an aspect"

AspectAbilities would have that same effect while still being designed around both player and enemy, no?
I get Zets is great if you modify some things - I used to use it a ton too
But without configuration, the mod is definitely in a weird state of balance

Config is great for that. Suits all playstyles. Some people want to power trip with the aspects some people want be a little more reasonable with them.

If it's tweaks, most people will make it themselves or default to what exists. It's not hard code to learn at all for something that small.

/context: My runs are 11 stages, and they're regimented so we visit all the zones. it would be easier to enact this if there was trolls in the lobby who hit tp early and such.

Command to continue the run after all players have died
/context: pre 1.0 patch if you used `next_stage` after everyone died, you could keep going in the run, this no long works.
Faster ineractibles:
user config rates at which scrappers, printers, cauldrons take and spawn items.

More lunars in bazaar:
Add more lunars to the reroller or just spawn lunar pods in the shop. user config for amount.
Fix for old moon:
allow time to progress and captain to use abilities, as well as escape the arena after mithrix is dead
*extra feature: config option for all fixes, including time progression, captain skills, and wether or not you can exit the arena
/context: I prefer the old moon for my runs, since it's still in the files i just use `next_Stage moon` to go there instead of moon2. but since the patch it has been broken
Custom Evolution:
Commands for giving/taking away items given to monsters via evolution or void cell vent
example: `give_monsters redwhip 10`
*this could be an update for existing mod
Custom Command:
allow printers/scrappers to spawn while command is active
*extra feature: command chance, user config chances of item drop being command esscance
Custom Sacrfice:
Allow chests to spawn while sacrifice is active
Shop/Printer/Cauldron blacklist:
Allow items to drop from lunar pods, chests etc but not appear in printers, cauldrons, or lunar shops.
/context: 57 leaf printers in a 10 player lobby destroy FPS. shaped glass in bazaar is OP but it would be nice if they could still drop from pods```

Looping still kinda ends up being a meatgrinder, even with uncapped monster levels, but uncapping their levels really helps on terms of dynamics since autoplay isn't as prevalent

Looping is when you, well, loop back to stage 1

I only used 2 artefacts the one that makes monster drop and the one that lets me pick the item oh and I used tracer she’s fun

You loop on Stage 5 (Sky Meadows) by realigning the teleporter or taking another portal (The Bazaar portal, Gilded Coast portal, or Artifact portal)
So don’t portal on 5 if I want to get to the boss ?
As you're really new though, I'd advise against content mods for the time being

Well, you don't have to use UDM - uncapped monster leveling is its own mod
But UDM adds some other nice things into the scaling too, like taking the Eclipse 7 modifier and making the scaling faster
Eclipse 7 modifier is enemies have their cooldowns reduced by 20%
Oh damn it’s all about a good start with this game once you get rolling you become untouchable it’s how it seemed to me anyway

Then it's a fine item, it requires the player to actually have skill or game knowledge to get use out of it, such as a Hopoo Feather - Yeah, it's good for traversal, but try using it for combat
But some items do carry without any input

Literally free healing for doing what you're already doing - and it's a constant % heal on a white item
i more talk about the items that just give you a decent amount of advantages for no reason. like up to 8 more equipment slots, speed efects increasing damage or just enchanting key things in the game

Of the big content mods off the top of my head (SS2, Aetherium, MysticItems, Tsunami), there's very few items that give you a large advantage right off the bat in them
And the main culprits happen to be red items, which are, y'know, supposed to be powerful

If I wanted true pain, I'd activate Diluvian, Eclipse, Multitudes, Instability, Artifact of the King, Tyrant, Genetics, Escalation, Arrogance, Origination, War, Progression, Regression, Honor, Vengeance, Spite, Glass, and Wayfaring.
Maybe a few more.

had a bigger one that one day started not working correctly so i decided to make a smaller pack and this is what i got and it hasnt worked yet

well, uh, it's most likely something incompatible between the mods

well, things are definitely a little buggy in game
so i'm not sure if you even want to load this
and i'm kinda just gonna assume that your pc just can't handle the sheer power of this many mods
