hey guys, me and a friend are trying to play multiplayer and every time one of us dies the game starts lagging from what i assume is the physics of the player corpse, does anyone know a fix?
does starstorm work with the current version of the r2mm or do i have to find a different way?
the most recent version should work yes
assuming the corpse physics didn't lag you out in unmodded games, no, it's probably not that. you should probably head to the main modding server (check pins in this channel) for more indepth troubleshooting

I don't think rob fully knows either. We just kinda slapped it on there and networked it. It works with some things like aspects, crowbars, etc.
well in the short time it was up. it seemed to do more damage to me then the enemy
it burns my face off and it makes my friends scream but oh boy does it clear the stage

yeah i just tried it again. the lunar shards, 1 volley of it. did more damage to the 1st boss then all of the sun. and the sun hurts me as well XD

You can't attack when casting. The sun is a long-long cast as well.

It's why dashing will insta-cancel casts

using shards and being slowed by the sun cast is kinda like final phase mithrix
you wield massive power, but you are only able to fire shards at a slowed pace
used recycle on vagrant wiener and got urn. urn. razorwire. and 2 plates. now i can cast sun and afk. XD

Lunar difficulty: the moon's destruction has altered the planet.
you will spawn staggered and slowed when you land bleeding for 3 seconds due to a faulty drop pod
all eclipse modifiers are active and 75 percent difficulty progression
lunar chimera now spawn regularly on top of a swarm of lunar chimera that will spawn after 7 minutes BUT the swarms will only spawn after you complete 2 stages
meteorites will shower from the sky for 1 minute after 6 minutes has passed they only deal 100 percent damage but they apply cripple
you cant escape from the moon anymore BUT there is another way..

i mean the theme is about the moon so i stuffed alot of things related to the moon
something to note is that genuinely challenging difficulties don't have minor annoyances built into them
like the drop pod thing, when is that reasonably gonna come into play as an interesting and challenge for a player to work around?
its just gonna be a mostly pointless annoyance for the first few moments of gameplay
maybe once or twice it'll lead to a cheap-shot death from a wisp or dissonance enemy

i downloaded a cheatmod to test out the paladins sun. attack speed makes it quicker to cast and while it does proc crowbars. its bad. like very back. 100 crowbars wasnt enough to insta one shot mobs first level with the sun. levels and base damage also did nothing for it

i would suggest if you have friends that also own risk or rain 2 or find a group of people willing to play modded ror2 you can make a friend code so it copies all mods you have and another person can download the same mods

Lack of enemy and especially boss variety, some classes just don't hold up (see arti) while others nuke everything (power mode mul-t, loader as a whole, Bandit2) oddly situational items and worse overall natural synergy than the first game, instead relying on really specific ones like Nkuhanas

A big difference I felt Classic Bandit had a big tendency to sort of run out of steam vs bosses because you'd run out of ammo and all your abilities were on CD so you had to wait like 5 seconds to attack again, but vanilla Bandit has like no cooldowns and a quick reload so you're just constantly going invisible and blasting shit

has there ever been a mod that revived all players upon starting the final boss fight? It's been common in my MP sessions that 1-2 people will die during commencement and have to sit through the whole pillar and fight. Even if it's depreciated working with someone else's code would be better than learning C# myself and making it.

You can try using the drop in mod for that. Just load into the game, they type “join_as [character name]” and they will spawn, and get roughly the same number of items as you. But they won’t be the exact same unless you edit the confit file for the mod

I use whatever utility is available for wisps but most of the time the primary works
whisps are the bane of my existence as an arti main
theres also nothing worse then playing coop and having a shot about to hit one only for it to get blasted in the last second by someone with hitscan attacks
same thing happens to me when I play loader
I charge up a punch, swing in to delete a elite wisp, then it just disappears while I wait for my wasted 5 seconds to come back

thats way more work to make than you think it is and noone wants to be the person to do that
there are definitely some mods that change different items here and there but not all items are covered
like GreenAlienHead lets you config the CDR % of alien heads (as a green item though)

both sniper mods are good, it just depends on what you want
Rein's sniper is more of his own character with similar gimmicks to the ror1 character
but Classic Sniper is more of an in-style remake of the character from ror1
The sniper mod by Rein has no text on the character select screen. Well, no titles for the skills, the descriptions are half there. Im using the modman btw
And the paladin's head is cut off on the character select screen, but I assume thats not really a bug due to it being so tall?
