That error means that the versions of something isn't right, or a dependency is missing. So could be game version or mod versions.

I love aatrox's kit in RoR2 modded, and I'd like to see it be able to be upgraded with skill++ if you could make it somehow work with the mod.

I used charge shot with a full reload, which is gonna be 900% boosted by a factor of three, so 2700%. I proced an ATG off of that for 600% more damage, and then crit.

Using RoR Cheats to experiment with final phase Mithrix on artifact of evolution is funny. Just have to use the skip stage button a few times to skip to a later stage, because Mithrix is old and can't bend over to activate the teleporter on his own.

If there was a way to make him smaller so he could reach the teleporter, I'd totally try an actual run like this. I tried size manager, but either I'm doing something wrong or the camera just doesn't get close enough to the ground to make activating the tele possible. ยฏ_(ใ)_/ยฏ
there exists a playablemithrix mod that makes them physically smaller.
I've tried that, it's... honestly not that great. Rather than just being regular ol' Mithrix but scaled down, it's actually more of a from-scratch character mod. His M1 is like a sword swipe with the hammer that has way less range than you'd expect from the animation (it's like mercenary's M1 range, despite his hammer being as large as his body). I forgot what else felt off about it since it's been a while, but it didn't feel enough like actually playing Mithrix. He has the shockwave attack and looks like Mithrix, but it doesn't feel like Mithrix. Especially compared to using RoR Cheats to actually play as Mithrix and knowing exactly how he controls in vanilla.
And besides, that's meant to be balanced like an actual character. I want final phase Mithrix so I can get tons of free items but have awful mobility and see how far I could actually get (probably not very far if my brief messing around is any indication).

Spore bullet is 1.0 as well.
spore and explosive direct hit dont hit very hard though
explosive has 0.9 primary damage total if you hit directly so it's almost as strong as full metal jacket

Unless that mod is a mod that edits the enemy, and then lets you play as the enemy, there is zero chance of it working.
And even if it "works" it is 100% not going to work correctly.

unmodded version only can work on extremely small scale mods. Like if a mod wanted to change the font or something, then you could use it. UI mods are usually small enough that they do not require everyone to have them because there is no networking involved at all.

I got the godess of corruption unlock for just looping. Didnt have nkuhanas. Probably a bug but i thought that was the correct unlock for it for a while
might have been a glitch where the game thought you had a malachite aspect. Because having that aspect also works

Unmodded version exists, but it does not do anything to send the mods to others. All it does is delete the check for mods
A handful of mods can work with it, the vast majority will not
If a mod is purely server-side (like TP voting, drop in multiplayer, item sharing, and so on), it CAN work for people who don't have the mod if you're the host. However, there's no way you will get a mod that adds a character, item, stage, or enemy to work if not everybody has it.
in theory you could server-side spawn unedited forms of existing monsters
Clay Man for example, the server can spawn them assuming no function of the Clay Man is edited by a mod
it exists in each build of ROR2 existing all the way back to the untextured form in Skills 2.0, the textured and two bugged skills in Hidden Realms, and three skills and polished animations in Artifacts

but current mithrix requires you to alter your build so much to defeat him that that probably wouldnt be feasable
I don't feel that. I never really have issues on mithrix no matter what items drop. Sometimes he gets me but its always due to a mistake on my end.
it's tough to really get good at mith bc of the time investment
it's half hour build up to get to him
and if you fuck up you don't get to retry and train like most games
not half an hour. at least 5 min less, sometimes 10 min to be fair
I'm a slow player I usually get to him around the 35-40 minute mark
but also the build up is part of the fun

Roost isn't bad when rushing tho. It has low chest counts, but some roost variants will have them be very closely packed.

If you want to adjust damage numbers: you get a cfg for that the day hopoo adds character numbers to the in game settings menu :)

to be serious though rein, the importance is in how it is displayed to the character, a separate program that you have to make changes in and relaunch the game to apply sends a very different message to the player than easily accessible options in the settings menu
even more so if the mod creator adds a forewarning in the config that this is not the way the mod was intended to be played
and the number one thing I would want to change about sniper wouldnt be adjusting numbers, it would be removing skills

Those settings exist because that is what the vast majority of people are asking for, I get basically zero requests for gameplay options in config.

The core reason: config should not break multiplayer imo. That is a hard rule I set for myself. Sure I could make anything at all work over multiplayer, if I was willing to spend a week on a single config option while I rewrite a chunk of the game...

Because I had over 1000 runs on arti beforehand, because playing her was such a rush. Now shes floaty and lame and feels insanely sluggish.

I've tried to enjoy her again so many times, it just doesn't feel fun anymore, especially with how easy the game is these days

When you find the mod, make sure to message the author and tell them to update the name of their mod to not have been copypasted from the template. Its lazy and very annoying.
