Viscous Fall's log is bugged IIRC, use a mod like RealerCheatUnlocks to get it for now
whenever i load the game with RoR2BepInExPack (v1.31.0), i can't read character skill or loadouts, and when i enter the game the map is completely black, does anyone know how to fix this?

For lobbyskinsfix is the solution for that mod just to wait some more time because it disables like half my modlist when i disable it
its prevented from loading by miscfixes so you can keep it enabled for now even though it wont do anything ., ,.,. majority of skin mods just have it as a dependency so they dont look weird in the lobby !!!! in r2 should let you disable only the mod itself and not the others too !!!
Yeah it'll have an option to disable it only it anyway if you want as it's not was never actually required for anything to load properly anyway

huh, the latest update of miscfixes seemed to break chef? I assume it was because of the skinfix thing, but I figured a vanilla character wouldn't completely break without a mod
when you change to icebox he loses everything besides the icebox body
and changing back to fire chef makes him disappear entirely
Something similar happens with mul-t and his primaries
the issue was that miscfixes hasn't updated for me for some reason
but it should be fixed in the current version
Debugtoolkit is the one I use for stuff like that, it lets you access the console and use commands. The ones you'd be looking for there would be "god" and and either "set_scene" or "next_stage"

it's not because customemotesapi is broken as its functionality still works, it's just that it's trying to access all survivors on game startup, but the memory optimization update wont let it and so it errors out

hi, using mods on my eclipes runs, earlier today i beat E2 with chef and it went up in the eclipse menu, but just now I beat E2 as seeker and it is still at E1 in the menu, does this happen to anyone else? i launched the game in both modded and vanilla after and my seeker victory is in the logbook

I'm heavily biased against mith 4 skip but yeah you can turn it off, ingame and restart or the normal config way
so im using thunderstore and im launching it modded but when i get into the game none of my mods are active, any solutions?

wait theres a bug that lets you skip phase 4 mithrix cuz that explains a lot i just assumed i somehow one shot him a frame before he got invulnerable or smth
well yeah that's not intended he's meant to start invulnerable
Him getting staggered and skipping the item suck phase would be another overseight I imagine
It's also just the final boss makes the overseights extra lame, never had a fun time when I skipped the phase

Actual solution cause it can happen with those aswel. Check in Settings > locations > Change Risk of rain 2 directory that the mod manager is actually looking at the correct location your game is installed in. People move games between drives every now and then and the mod manager wont auto update to reflect that
Oh and make sure that some of the super important mods is enabled

that’s y i said some skill expression. obviously its not that hard to do, but would a new player know to do something like that? it takes a knowledge of the game on a different level. plus without fire band it takes a good amt of skill in timing, which is the part i like most about p4 skip
That's not skill though it's just a knowledge check. Someone who has never even played the game could know to do it if they've watched RoR2 content, while a long-time player might not if they don't pay much attention to online stuff, because it's a bug that you could reasonably just not have happen to you, or at least not enough to know what caused it

it’s both a knowledge check and a skill check, u need to be able to get mythrix to low hp so when he jumps and lands it procs fire bands (skill) and need to be able to know that’s a thing (knowledge). paying attention to online stuff irrelevant, anyway but if it’s so easy then it wouldn’t be too unreasonable to say someone could figure it out on their own

3 minutes of trying to find out lead me to the conclusion that this is caused by RTAutoSprintEx (it was spamming sprint every time rebellion was held out) solution was just switching to another auto sprint mod that worked differently Lol

As per the changelog/patchnotes for ss2. Vanilla GM skins are disabled cause they're broken on current patch and will be fixed later. The alternative is you don't have ss2

cant really agree that intended design is inherently the only thing that should exist, and that all other forms of skill expression should be removed in favor of that. people hate p4. making it unskippable doesnt make p4 better or more appealing, it just shoe-horns players into a fight that they would otherwise skip.
That's how I feel, similar to pillars and stuff like host skip and other pillar skips. You get that satisfaction from skipping something you don't wanna do with knowledge and practice

exactly! i love little things like this, it rly makes the game for me. luckily as a few ppl mentioned, u can just switch off the config for the mod in question but its pretty easy to forget about that (example: me) so imo it should be off by default

Run whichever of the two you chose
Select ror2 and either use the default profile or create a new one
Download mods. Either through the mod managers online tab or from the website by clicking on a mod page and then clicking download with manager

wanted to add to this, i agree because even though there are some turbo free stuff making it very easy (reprieve is a perfect one) removing those would also get rid of other methods as a byproduct

Any tips for Umbral Mithrix Phase4? Lost like... 4 runs in a row to it on my false son e8 grind.
invulnurability characters help; same with very high healing; ie. paladin and tesla slap for it; it is possible with sorceress too.
I'd almost recommend running a 3-4 man generally for umbral cause he's basically scaled for it.
ie. unless you can one shot him before he invulns if you're lucky that he doesn't cast that first then you better be ready for a slow burn fight.
i mean moreso from base cast, oddly, i dont add modded chars... (yet)
also. Man... this phase 4 is no joke 😭

Given modders also actively worked on the past few updates and DLC3 coming I think we're probably fine but also TakeTwo literally just copy pasted that EULA to every game they own regardless since it very heavily reads like it's designed for GTA5/6

(and increases their health but reduces their damage)
Think it also comes with the hp increase + damage decrease effects so they don't isntantly mruder the player

a lot of the stats are recalculated with the expectation of it being deterministic
the initial variables are networked, like level, items, etc and then the resulting stats arent all networked, like armor, max hp, etc
i just got this mod idea
enter a code, a random difficulty get set
modifiers are randomly set with inputted code
yeah, then you can network the resulting modifiers as buffs or items and still work within the existing system
theres a lot of hidden items that just serve that exact purpose
modifiers varies from damage dealt to playermodel size
if you aren't using r2modman, then you probably have different content mods installed
if you are using r2modman, one of you is probably using a mod that has been removed from thunderstore. r2modman will not detect if your mods are different if one of the desynced mods isn't detected on thunderstore
had an issue trying to play with my friend after rob's mods were removed from thunderstore (i had ravager mod installed and when i sent him the profile code it didn't download nor recognize it)

you can try to reimport (export your profile as a code and then reimport it back into the profile, it essentially copies your modlist and reinstalls it incase anything messed up overtime)

Yeah i know about that and im flat out against it in every way i think it's just greed flat out; but that's fine if they want to run things that way, i don't because it stifles mod suggestions and ideas so heavily that we end up with scenarios like current where complete sections of the game are left untouched because 1.someone's too lazy to do it or 2.nobody's gonna pay for a feature they don't use.
I hate that system in every way, i mod other games for free because of people exactly like that.

unity modeling takes time even i know that; and it can suck sometimes as it's multiple days for simple sht even if you have the model already; but some of the coding things, those can be done very quickly in alot of cases and i've done sht like that myself which is why i wont understand commission only requirement for it; it should be suggestion and if you want it done quicker then commission it.
Fortunately ror2 modding isn't commission only but you still have to have someone actually interested or just end up doing it yourself. Mod discord has an #ideas channel alongside commissions seeking and doing channels
I think in reality only like 2-3 people even take commissions in the scene afaik. Most jsut do their own thing

i got banned for attempting to help and as they quote 'having 1200 messages in the single chat' because apparently im not allowed to stay in one chat for a while and help and learn from people as i attempt to troubleshoot issues actively (and mind you i did fix quite a few as well, it's not as if i was flat wrong on every issue or much of any for that matter. They had a problem with me not letting them be the only one to help people ever.)
That's how i get into modding for a game to begin with is learn and listen and help until im competant enough to understand the specific games coding language and then i do some mods myself and learn further through that and then fully overhaul the game on every single feature to my desire, release that, then usually either move on or continue helping if people seem to message me after.
or if i have any ideas for other overhauls i do those as well.
because at that point at least i understand the common errors and problems of the game even if they're niche glitches i can avoid causing more of them unlike alot of developers run into these days by not paying attention to that.
I'm also required to learn how the game works while playing and testing as well because of that method; so i have to get good at modding/coding AND playing the game too as, if i want to make the game tough i have to be able to test the game for long enough to tweak the game on that new tough difficulty.
several hours to days of modding followed by several hours to days of testing, it's how i believe it should be done.

It's much like my stance on modding as well; if you mod it isn't the game dev's problem to fix it, it's yours and the dev of the mod's problem to resolve; if the mod's dev doesn't seem to care or indifferent(entirely their choice to support literally any issue, you downloaded it) then you have to resolve it yourself but if you want it to be resolved for others then share your work with the mod dev and don't expect credit.. it's charity if you want to help, that's on you alone.
You can make a deal for credit that's fine, same is if you ask to be allowed to post the fix for the issue from the modder.
mm, may consider that mod in the future; that was something i didn't look at cause i guessed the effect of the skill based on the keywords it already used; im used to mmorpg elements so i note effects alot because of that as well as card games do the same so i didn't consider a mod to add it back in because my mind assumed it was there because i was fabricating a hallucination of it already upon seeing the element so i didn't figure it was gone cause i could still see it.
Tbf all the keywords are also easily accessible already in the loadout tab by going through the complicated method of clicking a different tab and hovering over the skill. All this mod does is add al lthat to the skill tooltip as well

2 sec x.. well 52 skills i saw on artificer before those mods broke from last patch; kinda adds up when picking in a multiplayer menu waiting on the poor lad.
Was sparked from someone in modcord general going "What is growth do?" when you could literally just hover the skill in the loadout and see exactly what it did
fair, i'd say it's alot more of a timesaver the more you actually attempt to add into the game though; and i add alot considering you'd have to read over about 60 or so to 99 characters depending on version i want to run that day.
cause lets say you wanted to read all 99xprimary,secondary,util,special,(wont count passive cause not always present) and we assume it's roughly 1.5 skills on average when you average out the single skill characters with the double choice all the way up to the ones that have a whole extra skill slot for each skill and then those have choices too; you have 19.8 full MINUTES of reading time averaging a 2 second click back to reread each one..
the vanilla way is hella obtuse it's a good mod
like who the hell thinks ah yes I picked my skill I now have to go to the previous tab to see the critical information on it
doesnt help that you cant check stuff like passives mid run like growth is weird
lol, yeah especially when you calculate it out to 20 minutes when the full download of the game+download of the mods up to 300 mods or so+launch time would take you 14-16 minutes, 20 is a bit absurd to want to know wtf im doing lol

i believe there's a mod somewhere along the way that allowes you to hold ctrl in your inventory to hover over the skill to reread it.. might be vanilla, never bothered cause it was always available for me..
honestly wish there was a streamlined way to add skills aoes and effects to skills as well as keyword entry without like 12 hours of random additions and testing so i could make a class system in this game..
you know.. turn it into an actual mmorpg like it could easily be turned into..
with a reason for support classes etc to exist; rather than dmg+tank or die..
and the current support classes are basically become an illusionist and call it a day; healing must be done by items because you require too much of it or you just get one shot..
and the only 'support' class that would be downright broken and actually are because some people have attempted light versions of it is the necromancer class because it can heal tank and do dmg entirely by itself to medium extents AND have it's own passive group(normal necro has it's own group dynamics too but alot of people miss this fact.)
I feel like if someone figured out how to push out the director's spawn distance from players as void it from spawning on top of players like how helldivers had to figure this out the hard way, and then had actual class skills and sanctuary, healing, as well as some skills being shifted around to allow for things like assassins and items being more long term rather than tiny short term single buff that means nothing if you're not doing that one thing with your build; this game could be a very good rpglike rather than roguelike with a limited arena that attempts to make itself not look like an arena..
honestly was hoping that all skills on all characters mod worked with mods and modded characters cause you can almost get this but not quite as well..
also would be nice if i could choose what skills characters could pick and that it would be compatible with the more skill slots/extendedskills mod that allowes another row of skills on top but i know that would take work to network correctly..
ie. have a dude with all movement abilities and a couple of ranged aoes like stealing paladins cruel sun throwable off escanors but with the movement range of a very fast huntress; or have a crusader that's just flat aoe heals, dmg buffs, attack speed buffs, concecration type skills basically and is just a giant flag for the group type thing.. you know, dedicated spots so people can actually have group dynamics rather than having to have it nearly all on your own build/items and you're dead if it's not..
This game would be a better platform for making a rpg than most rpgs are these days.. it's a little crazy that nobody's tried to do so yet..
man, i wish suggestions ideas and troubleshooting didn't have to be seperate cause they really arent.. each feeds into eachother but oh well.. people need properly named sections and seperation cause they prefer to not look at clouded/crowded areas as much.. sad reality.

honestly didn't try enemies return because most enemy mods barely work or add much in or sometimes like the doom one straight up don't appear because they're not hard coded into artifact of the universe, and other similar artifacts that make all enemy types appear no matter what including players..
yes that means an engi with a shield can spawn on enemy faction..
wish i had more monsters to dilute the pool though if they actually worked and behaved well with other add everything to the spawn pool mods..

no what i mean is that if you are still able to join parties with mods
yeah that was the context, because you can only play multiplayer with certain mods
like a skin mod you could join publics but people won't see the skin (generally the case)
but it won't work with like an item mod or character mod unless they also have it
and then there's the jank with host only mods

if you're the only one with the mod yeah, you can't play those in multiplayer

what about qol mods
shrine of dios is a good example of a weird mod, because it replaces shrine of the woods and the revive mechanic already works, so if the host has it, it works
same with drop item, that works if the host has it, but only via command for users without it
qol generally works if like, it's UI or texture
since it only appears for you and is visual
speed changes are a "if the host has it" iirc though
like for scrappers and shrines
does starstorm 2 cost anything?
Unless you specifically commission someone to make a mod, all mods are free.
why wont my skins load?
Some skins mods just wont load due to the memory optimisation patch and require the mod author to fix them, You can and probabuly should use these to salvage some skin mods that otherwise can still work though

What are you talking about; i linked to what im talking about; even provided detail and context as well as a full rundown of a few possible errors that could cause the original error the person linked to could run into to that would cause them to think the most secure anti virus program that has saved several pc's of others and myself from having to be full wiped with a windows disk reboot program back to basically factory settings, or from the pc being bricked entirely and having to buy a new one. I'm missing what it is you're confused about. 
^mm, missed the end of that sentence; was explaining what would cause the original peep to think a secure program is somehow bad in any way shape or form besides them possibly thinking to pirate a free program that costs nothing to use unless you want mild features..

but anyways; usually a desync if they don't show up. i'd double check most everything if i saw somethin like that but then again you don't need to see em to see their pings if you get that glitch usually so just have em ping more often 🙂
smol issue; that would only work in singleplayer and would desync fast in multiplayer or act completely like artifact of death which would VERY much suck alot. if you find someone to get that coordinated as an actual portal location instead of death that would be very funny and a kind of cool feature.

o.o that would be a pain in the ass to code considering the game fully ends on that screen so to circumvent it you have to have it an item and code the game to not end upon ending and hope your wierd dimension doesn't need to be used more than the twice you're intending cause it would basically lock you in game indefinately as it wouldn't end ever..
hmm, mabey if you hijacked the last person to die marker to do it but that also means the thing i said above; if that mod or the interaction breaks then you're fkd and stuck in basically limbo forever with no continue screen.
but if you need to know where to start; the continue screen for ending a match, that trigger is what you're looking for to mess up.

You would have to find a way.. well no actually you'd have to have it be a void continue button that just starts a new session with all your items and current builds etc; problem being is it would get very laggy very quick as you wouldn't be unloading anything so.. oh yeah, and you can't do 2 layers this way unless they're unlockeables which would kinda kill the point..
ie. 2 buttons on top of the continue button
basically, the game won't allow you to do this but you can force it via glitches in like 3-4 different ways. each worse in effect than the last..

Does anyone know how to revery guns back to full auto with HUNK mod? The smg starts as full auto then gets stuck as semi after leaving the first stage.
Could just guard 1 HP from being lost and consider you dead if you hit 1 HP, triggering the void fields teleport

There's a couple you can configure but the most direct one to configure is the director one that allowes you to specifically change what the director is and isn't allowed to do and therefore ramp up everything if you wanted to; only way to do it without configuring is multitudes.. pretty much any of em.

oh, also assuming that void death isn't an instant unavoideable; considering not a single invuln in game seems to counter it but revive does; so you'd have to revive them if all other revive items do not proc and THEN have it proc the void fields portal if current playercount(updated on join and disconnect to not desync and just flat not work) = current players being held in stasis by the item.
Guys I have a question for anyone who can help with my mods not working on thunderstore, I've tried restarting my laptop but that only worked once. And it's not a space issue because the same laptop runs cyberpunk 2077 just fine so idk what to do💔😔

There's a couple of things like test in vanilla and see if vanilla still works but other than a small select few fixes your error sounds like one youll need to provide the proper people proper logs for so they understand what's causing your error and what specifically you're having trouble with outside of just 'doesn't work' cause there's bout 40 ways 'doesn't work' could occur and all are seperate fixes and checks.

i'm asking because instancedloot and instancedloot_continuation both seem to not work (former is deprecated, latter is newer and still seems to not work)

- Download and install r2modman,
- Create a new profile,
- Download the mods you want,
- Go to settings and click Export 5. Profile as Code,
- Send the code to your friends,
- Friends can import the code from the main profile selection menu of r2modman,
Voila, you all have the same mods and configs
if youre already doing that, youll have better luck posting your log file in tech support in the modding discord (link in pins)
ive got this really weird problem where the survivor selection ui is like flickery? the skills kinda have this weird thing where they flicker. it also has really horrible FPS compared to everything else, i usually get 144 but in the lobby its around 40

(THIS MAY NOT BE NECESSARY BUT:) i had a similar issue where the stage 2 pool would just be all stages, i fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and creating a new mod profile.

Probably recent patch stuff yeah but also heretic is a playable character normally anyway
So likely why they work since the player needs to be able to transform into them

Propersave automatically saves at the start of every stage. The warning there is just supposed to be that it wont save mid stage but I guess langauge file stuff got messed up

Though if you change anything about the mod setup like configs/updating/removing/adding stuff then don't expect the save to work properly
It's fine. Saves don't occur on stage 1 and only ever save on entry into a new stage
