You could try making a new profile and only downloading the mods you want one by one
it works but the skins dont work BUT you can use skins by using the random loadout mod i think
you need to uninstall them or make a new profile

So I used false son's boss moveset and here is what I found out
False Son has a passive if he is close to a player he will do two slams regardless of what phase he is in(blue pillars excluded)
Phase 1:
M1: He does the slam(with blue pillars)
Secondary: He does Lunar Rain(he summons the big spikes thing)
Utility: None
Special: Lunar Spikes Shotgun
Phase 2:
Same as phase 1 but utility is replaced by laser
Phase 3
M1 is disabled
Special replaced with the skill disabling thing(weirdly this also disables False Son(boss)'s skills if you are using him, doesnt happen for the ai doe)

Most likely a family event
family event?
If you didnt know before there is a very small chance (around 2%) for a stage to have a family event
A family event makes it so only select enemies can spawn
Such as only golems and titans
Theyre indicated by a "WARNING!" Message in the chat at the start of the stage
With some added text like "the air begins to burn" which in this example means a wisp family event is happening

it only happens when i'm fighting stuff, usually with multi-hit abilities
its so bad that when im in a really hectic situation my fps will constantly be like 15-20 when i can usually keep 60 fps no problem pretty much for the whole game
well maybe ill do a vanilla run just to make sure its a mod issue first but i'm pretty sure it's a mod issue

I had the exact same issue as you! It has to do with any mod that hasn't been updated since August...28th, I think. For me it was Monster Mash and an outdated version of Refightalize, but recently a mod that added a Kiryu skin for Loader caused it too.

About Robomando mod: You shold be able to move while hacking and de escalate should connect/hit multiple enemies. otherwise it looks nice.

...Doesn't the Paladin mod already come with a Providence skin? Definitely have said skin and never downloaded that particular mod for it.

maybe I would make him a bit faster too. because his only two upsides are hacking and being fast.
so you running faster around hacking items and drones. and finish stages faster.
I wouldn't mind Robo having alternate abilities akin to Commando but Robo flavored, like a slide that barely goes five feet, a shotgun seccondary with very limited range, or a grenade that's more like a firecracker.
Also wouldn't mind being able to hack chance shrines, and being able to tweak the stats around in the config.

it has a high rate of fire, and at high heat buildup it applies burn, so stacking ignition tank is great because it both boosts fuel and makes that burn worse

I like the AA cannon, cause it makes vagrants and wisps easy to deal with, while also scaling with attack speed instead of a cool down.
i don't really use any other cannons tbh
you just gotta find a niche to fil, like high but slow damage, or quick but light, also tank weight is a factor cause the heavier you are the less knockback you get

That was the first one I used and I found it fun. The first build I did was No Primary/Berserk, AA cannon, Plow, King Mine, then Maus turret and body.
Since then I've found it hard to give up King Mine because it works so well as a panic button if you're surrounded and pairs well with Bulldozer as you can dash in, drop it, and dash out.

Since then I've swapped the bodies and turrets around, and I've been trying Crit Cannon.
The primaries all sound a bit underwhelming for what they are and I really only tried the rockets. I mostly just use Berserk/empty slot and rely on the secondary
i will tell you that the machine gun is a reliable way to deal with smaller threats like wisps and a good source of proc
the specials also all sounded underwhelming to me so i just took the disabled perk
i usually use the javalin mainly cause it looks cool
I'll tell you that King Mine absolutely slaps, and that my friend swears by the Barrel

Yeah Head5T is goated for the grav decrease and fall damage immunity. How much fuel does Afterburner give?
i don't know how much or if even, but i know headseat give like 100 fuel
I usually use primary rockets, secondary minigun, super jump, and king mine. Minigun's basically the primary and also helps steer you a bit while flying or propel you, super jump can reallow using the thrusters in the air when you have enough fuel, and the mine's a good conversation starter with bands and crowbars.
he can hack only hackable stuff like UES cargo not shrines. And the thing is Robo doesn't need alt abilities because he is basically basic shoot/stun couple with hack and being fast. his utility is a particular funny "try to properly dodge but can't"...so it makes sense that ROBO doesn't have any alt

me and my 2 friends wanted to play risk of rain but we couldnt. my second friend showed me that he had 20 other ready up symbols on his screen and he couldnt ready up. we tried it so he could host but i was having problems as it showed all three of us readied up despite me not being ready, i also couldnt ready up. the friend 1 didnt seem to have troubles before as we quickly did a run without friend 2. we tried making friend 1 host but friend 2 was having the same problem. could someone help see what the problem is?

AH another classic that sometimes happens lol
I show up and see the same lag issue me and my son had last night. Something to do with Wayfarer, Stage 1, and Aetherium elites (at least I am assuming they are them) causing instant lag spikes.
Using the Buff Brazier from Aetherium also would instantly cause a lag sideshow as well.
Wayfarer doesn't seem to cause this issue when spawning later however.
The issue didn't arise until after Aetherium was installed either for us. I was planning on doing a small pack with just Starstorm, and Aetherium (with Aerovolt) to test, but it appears Slipskips already on it.
My testing seems to have narrowed it all the way down to Aetheriums Inspiring Drone
The cursed thing about this is that I could only get it to lag with aetherium and zetaspects together
Nothing about what I've seen so far makes sense lmao

I must say that better chef mod does a good job balancing chef better.
is it just me or does this mod kinda turn knockback fin into diet crits
that just makes it really strong on high-power/low fire rate characters
almost double damage when it procs and it probably multiplies with crit
Sticky Bomb is more of a damage up than it
unless that can't crit which then I should make fin also not crit
sticky bomb summons a projectile on a timer though, it doesn't add the damage directly. fin doesn't have a proc coeff, which is good, but it's still just 80% more damage when it launches an enemy
knockback fin does seem really hard to balance on account of the fact that its main gimmick is the knockback, even though that doesn't really help 9/10 times

There's several cheat mods that let you give yourself items and spawn enemies and such, but if you're looking for something like "ControlCompany" you're not gonna find it because most of this game is public lobbies and they would probably have to implement ban systems if they did.
I believe the most popular cheat mod is called "Aerolt" but I've never personally used it. I prefer the console command mods.
It would be a fun idea to use with friends, but it would cause a huge problem for other lobbies realistically.
+1 for Aerolt. I use it and it's not too difficult. If there's documentation or tutorials I haven't read them. Fairly easy to figure out what does what, and has many one-click-fixes for certain bugs.

If it's using a "different profile" like by technicality on launch it might just be force unlocking stuff. Instead of saving it traditionally it could be using a different system, like how some games unlock certain things every launch based on if you have the achievement or not.
That's a little concerning to me. But it does track, since any changes to the load out are not saved either.

if you switch profiles then stuff gets changed on other mods too, even with traditional saving.

Hey there, got a question for @stable ridge regarding StormItemBuffs - won't the changes to Antler Shield make Repulsion Armor Plate completely obsolete? With both items being the same rarity, it's kinda weird that the shield not only gives more armor, but also reflects damage.

Repulsion armor plates don't give armor, armor reduces damage taken multiplicatively while raps decrease it by a flat amount. Against a hit that deals 100 damage, they'll both block about 5 damage, but against a hit that deals 6 damage, raps will still block 5 damage, taking it down to 1 damage, while 6% armor would only reduce it by ~0.05.
Tldr armor good against big hits raps good against lots of small hits giving them both a role to fill

- Looking Glass(shows some additional item info)
- Momentum Fix(fixes issues with jumpads causing your momentum to completely stop)
- Item Blacklist(let's you set the game up like Dead Cells. Remove useless items from the loot pool)
- Stage Mirror(adjustable, let's stages sometime be mirrored)
As far as prettier visuals, Vibrant Visuals is a good one. Cooler Stages was my favorite mod for changing the look of everything. It does not work at the moment though. Stage Aesthetic was another one, but currently using that one will softlock you on stage 2 or 3
Hey, so I've discovered the horrible and beautiful world of skin mods and over a few days I've downloaded most of the skin mods in the game, had to uninstall a few because the game wouldnt launch and it's been pretty easy to find which one was breaking. What skins did you install? I ran into a similar issue when downloading some really old skins
If it hasn't been updated in a while I would probably uninstall it completely.
As far as fixing it, you may have to go to Steam and "verify integrity of game files" I've had to do that a few times after using incompatible mods

Try to launch it vanilla first after verifying to see if it starts. I would highly recommend starting a new profile om Thunderstore/R2modman and sorting by "Recently Updated & Skins" to find ones Updated recently. I know alot of skins that work such as Wolfo Skin Pack,Mewtwo Artficer,Void Fiend Dark Samus, any Seeker/False Son/Chef skin,etc
A:vanilla is working. B: Wolfo got updated yesterday but it might still be broken. C:I had dark samus void fiend yesterday and it was working but that could be it so I uninstalled it. Let's see how this goes. If it still doesn't work I'll make a new profile.

Make sure that the directory that modman is looking for ror2 in is actually the correct file path.
Settings > locations >change ror2 directory. If that's not exactly where you currently installed ror2 then it'll fall back to just calling steam to run the game normally

From those who have spoke up about it, commonalities seem to be Starstorm (of course), Aetherium, and ZetaAspects. If your list does not contain those 3 let us know so.

Then again, I've got so many item mods that I can have 1 of 2 kinds of runs: unkillable god runs capable of annihilating everything, or a futile, Sisyphean struggle against all odds (playing on modded difficulties probably doesn't help [Charibdys if that's how you spell it]).
Like Chirr needs Movement speed, Deputy needs some sort of AOE, the Sayians need Plates and Healing..
While all of them can kinda thrive if you can get them through stage 2, on Inferno its a fight for survival at the jump especially if you have anything that increases spawn limits on Stage 1 and 2.
With thats said.. Deputy, Rocket, Sonic, and Hunk are some of the best shots at Inferno I've worked with so far. Damned game mode just keeps kicking me in the face and asking if I want more.

im having this problem where my friend cant click lock in and it shows a bunch of stone golem symbols when there should be 2. does anyone know how to fix this?

specifically about the supercritical coolant item (void gasoline)
does it only slow movement speed or does it affect attack speed/cooldowns as well?
if it's only movement speed then i'm never picking it up again

On steam right click risk of rain 2 > manage > browse local files > Then in the folder that opening click into the file path at the top to see the full path and then compare that to the path that the mod manager thinks it's in, in settings > locations > change risk of rain 2 directory. They must be exact so if they're not then change the mod manager to the path steam claims the game is in
Not sure who made the Voidcrid mod but I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Additionally would like to not that there's some item interactions that shut down the added primary in the mod resulting in no primary animation or damage occurring. Hopefully the maker of said mod sees this.

I think it shows how much items you need to stack for 100% proc, like 20 sticky bombs and etc. Also shows proc chance of items like cherf, ukulele and others. Dunno about proc coef tho

sounds good even if it doesnt show skill coef, i just remember betterui would show skill proc coef too
It also shows item stack effects in scoreboard (like if you have two lens makers glasses it will show 20% when you hover over them)
for some reason i cant load up the second modpack i have for multiplayer but my friends can, it just defaults to my original modpack

I got a question/Issue, When I use mods my logbook doesnt update anyone know why this is? My mods include BepinEX, R2API, Bazaarexpand, Biggerbazaar, freenewtaltars, itemstats, itemstatistics, sharesuit and zetaspects. This wasn't a problem before the dlc dropped. I use R2modman
Well at the very least I'm pretty sure those bazaar mods are dead for current game update
Freeneataltars is also 2 years old so I eprsonally wouldn't trust that either

you could disable all your mods and then go through and enable them one by one to find the culprit
or verify integrity of your files
Well I run with the logic of wasn't updated since seekerss came out > first suspect
Otherwise it's check if this is the case with vanilla then start nuking mods till the problems solved to narrow down the culprit(s)

Strange, that only seekers items arn't updating in modded but I don't really have a better explaination if the ones not updating suddenly do when in vanilla

Tried adding more mods to our modlist and the new stuff seems to lock loading at 58%, happened with both my friend and me. As far as I can tell, all the new mods are up to date and the mods we had before adding this stock of new stuff worked fine. The new mods we tried adding were Enforcer, SniperClassic, Rocket, and MinerUnearthed by EnforcerGang as well as Starstorm 2 and all their dependencies. I disabled Starstorm 2 and got past the 58% lock but even then I can't see the new characters.

Ah that's a bummer, what about the new characters EnforcerGang adds? Those still weren't showing up even after disabiling Starstorm 2

the issue seems with some sort of api but you have it so I don't get it
the only thing I can think is there's some kind of weird conflict happening since even after disabling starstorm 2 I can't see the EnforcerGang characters on the character select screen
