about config file, I wish the mod "enemies returns" have some. spitter enemy from ROR1 is great, however the stone boss from ror1 is kind of slow.

i dont care, i just dont like modded items. they inflate and dilute the loot pool
my problem with modded items primarily is that like, it becomes harder to stack all the items because of how much items a mod pack adds alongside the vanilla and DLC pools
the DLCs already do a lot of padding out of the items
I only uses mods that are really high quality on balance and immersion like... for now I was using some for enemies: clay man, ancient wisp, archaic wisp, enemies returns, and assassin enemy that was cut.

well, bad items are just bad design. if an item sucks thats unbalanced because its not useful at all, in a game about items and stuff you need to have them all be decent at worst.

if it were properly balanced, you could maintain the intention of the item but make them usefull without change it too much
the mod i was mentioned focus just on doing that, it is not change too much... it just makes the items decent enough for some use.
my problem with the argument that bad items add balance/diffuculty is that it doesnt make the game harder it just makes it more luck based
luck is an important part of roguelites 
items can be better or worse alright...but not totally useless
also the other thing is that in general I'd rather trust the developers of the game to balance the game rather than a random guy on the modpage

"meme" mods I really dislike...but there are really legit excelent expansion mods like starstorm that really feels like official content and adds a lot to the game

Hey I had this idea for a mod but no idea where to put it or how to code it so imma write it here.
Mod name-> Hostile World:(yes same as the gacha game)
Included are 6 new hostile enemies to increase the variations and challenge between runs;

Beta Construct: Works similar to the alpha construct but fires a low constant damaging laser similar to the xi construct and is physically larger than the alphas

Microbes: Works just like they do in RORR bouncing up doing big damage if they land on top of a survivor.

Microbic Predator: also attacks just like they do in RORR but will seek out Microbes to eat and get a damage buff before rushing survivors down at a fast speed.

Alloy Worshiper: a variant of allow vulture which attacks with a spear in close range.

Silent Watchers: A Golem enemy which teleports from location to location without walking. Attacking by slamming down on the ground to do a large aoe attack if any survivor gets too close

predator should be more like RORR ...instead of microbes that is too similar to another enemy on ror2 maybe mounted lemurian instead. The rest I like it. IFRIT would be cool to have back but it will need to be reworked to fit ROR2 properly.

But as for the watcher being similar to the parent. What if instead of teleporting, because I want their slam to be part of their threat, they move slowly across areas only attacking if you attack them while nearby.

Right now you can't as it's still in the transition period of being reworked
A fair few config stuff basically got lost in the seekers rebuild and is being steadily added back in
Alright got some clarification. That events config is just the storms so you'd be fine to disable it and if it does somehow collateral something else @ me so I can relay it

idk if anyone else has this issue, but for some reason, my modded game is loading but character mods i have selected (celestial war tank for example) arent loading, or at least the characters arent selectable, but other mods, such as SS2 are loading fine
and also for some reason SS2 character skins no longer exist, idk if thats a bug or-
SS2 chars not having skins is a known bug yeah, They technically do still work if you have a loadout randomiser as taht can still select them
So they're kinda just in this weird purgatory lol

That's why I think it's still a corrupt install. It's happened for many people in the past where vanilla still boots fine but modded can't
It's jsut one of those random ass things that can happen when modding the game
in starstorm 2 what do the storm events do?
Buff enemy stats across the board at at max intensity start making enemies stormborn elites which is a further boost to stats
Also makes it hard to see, which I don't like personally
That's mostly due to the new storm vfx not being prepared for seekers stuff atm. It was basically made right before the dlc launch date was announced and kinda threw a spanner in the works
So it's kind of in that transition period since the team wasn't going to just go back and fix the old stuff when they''d aldready done a bunch of reworks

You'd have been far better off starting from scratch when the dlc came out cause your only alternative is both log at the log for mods erroring on load or checking every non-api/bepinex mods webpage for their last upload date to see if they released versions for seekers and if not they're your suspects

I found that editing the UI settings of RPGmod in real time was a life saver. Freaking able to move that danged box where I needed it to be.
Thats most often the issue from my experience. Still, many of us have a modpack of over 150 mods that work fine on the current patch, so I'm sure you can get it working with newer stuff.

multiplayer in general is weird right now. if all of your mods are properly synchronized, try having everyone toggle Crossplay in the settings or verifying the integrity of your game files
I got through the Mods and Multiplayer issue we ran into in my group by turning off Crossplay entirely. Everyone was already on the Steam Version anyways, so it was no skin off our backs.
in my case turning on crossplay is what fixed it for my group, even though none of us own the Epic version. it's just weird all around
Long story short, Multiplayer support is a mess. When it works tho.. its amazing.
Much it comes down to EGS MP is just ass and has been since it came out but steam MP is having some weird shit going on that's effecting multiple games of which ror2 randomly ends up as one of them for people
Having epic on when it first came out was one of the first times I''d seen someone spawn as an exploding larva instead of their survivor, something that only happened in modded when non-networked mods were used in MP and caused desyncs. Epic made that desync vanilla lol
i know you can alter the names of items & enemies in-game by editing inside the text folders

And the reason he likely showed up without being unlocked in the past is you may have played a version of ss2 when the unlocks were broken and everything was just default unlocked
he wasnt unlocked he just was in the character select menu saying that i should kill a commando vestige so i killed commandos nemesis and i unlcoked him but now that doesnt work

some mods dont let you which is annoying, but go into edit config on your mod profile, find the character (it might have multiple files so search through them all) and find the thing that says "character unlocked" or something along those lines, you cant miss it, and change that to true

Usually write permissions are just windows fuckery and full closing steam/restarting the pc as the classic off and on again IT trick solves them

you can play multiplayer with mods but it will most likely have to be with friends as you have to send them a code to access the mods you have on
while there are some mods that fix bugs that may cause FPS drops there arent any that will directly improve performance from what im aware

Skillsmas was the problem. Sometimes (2 out of 50) it loads just fine, sometimes it takes a large amount of time to load in with it, and sometimes it just straight up doesn't work.
