occasionally when a new stage starts you fall through the floor of the map
I was MUL-T with rebar puncher and i killed a beetle while a clay dunestrider was doing the big suck
Its completely broke the game and i couldn't use anything

My fellow comrade is experiencing issues in which all of his characters are blacked out. Solution? Does anyone know of this?
I had that happen. Just stopping the game and starting it again cleared it for me
all that was announced is that it would follow a similar schedule as with all the other updates

Found a bug? I think I got hit by purple rings on the ground (idk what it is) and my screen turned this color. I can shoot and do my abilities but I cant see or die.
Having a weird bug where if I go into a run I fall through the map and later die in random places on the map
In multiplayer, I cant interact with shrines sometimes
After I exited prismatic trials and left the game on the main menu for a long while (ten plus minutes), I came back (to singleplayer) to find all my survivors blocked out, and no artifacts unlocked. I left and returned and it didn't change. I can still ready up so I'll see what happens.
It won't let me start a game, either. I'll check if prismatics are broken too

Has anyone had issues with the artifact of swarms not working on ps4? I have it selected but it's not doubling spawn rates and the enemies have standard health

Hey guys, it me. We're hard at work getting the 1.0 update prepped for consoles, so I haven't had the time to check in here as often as I did before.
I do still read everything that gets posted here, though. Don't think you're all getting ignored or anything.
In the meantime, since the turnaround for console updates is pretty long, I wrote this up for people who come in asking about commonly-reported bugs that we're already aware of:
The Anniversary update is out now on Xbox and PS4. Switch date is TBD, but should be soon
Current Common Bugs
This isn't the definitive bug list, just a handful of common ones that we've noticed people frequently asking about.
Acrid's leap is Too Fast
To start, Acrid's leap skills have functioned incorrectly, albeit in the opposite direction, for a while now. The leap skills went too slow compared to PC, and you were able to control Acrid in midair far more on console than you should've been able to. That said, the newly-fixed version seems to have gone a bit too far.
Game ending text doesn't render properly
These are currently broken. Don't really have anything else to add.
PS4: Lobby shows all characters locked (including Commando)
If you see this, don't do anything that would trigger a save. Shut the game down and restart it.
If you have the in-game info screen (normally bound to the touchpad) bound to X or O, you'll need to go into the settings menu and change that to a different button. Shut down and restart the game afterward.
The issue here is that certain profile functionality is tied to the Info button that shouldn't be, so pressing Info effectively clears your save data from memory. Triggering a save at this point will cause your save data to be overwritten by an empty profile.
This should be fixed in the next update, but please still report any instances of this occurring in case there are other reproduction steps we're unaware of.

There's a bug where if you hit an enemy with an Ice Spear as Artificer, sometimes the corpse will repeatedly have the freezing effect as well as the area where the enemy was before they were killed.
Hi. I am trying to play with two friends. Me Korea, friend 1 Korea, friend 2 Canada. But both friends will lag after 1 ~ 3 mins and the monsters won't spawn.
it is impossible to play this with friends on Switch.
It also lags with me (Korea) + friend 1 (Korea) after 1 ~ 3 mins
Items sometime don't appear after killing the boss on switch
In a run I did earlier a scavenger just would not die, no matter how much damage I would do it would not go below like 5-10% of its max health. This was on Xbox btw.
doesnt really sound like a bug, sounds like you just rolled a really nasty scavenger
Scavs have been known to become invincible before
true but this one sounds more like he was hurting it and then the scavenger just basically healed through
if it was immune I don't think they could bring it to 5-10% of health in the first place

sorry if most bugs i've noticed mightve been mentioned a couple times before, but here goes:

artifact of swarms. if i boot up the game and go into single player and use swarms and sacrifice artifacts, itll work fine. however, if i come across a shrine of the mountain, it breaks swarms thereon in the run if i activate it for that stage. swarms just seems to be a little strange anyways once you finish a run it seems like theres a 50/50 itll break for every run afterwards until i reset the game.

dio's best friend in the void. normally this item is fine. In addition to scavengers occasionally getting to be resurrected 4 times until permanently dead, the main issue I had with this was in the void. after completing all vent ceils it's supposed to clear the wave of enemies. however after the wave was cleared, dios best friend activated and they all revived. they all also had probably an extra revive in there as well i noticed.

spectator bug. I usually host games with my friends, so i hardly every see this bug, but they've told me multiple times that due to some circumstances one way or another they see themselves as being permanently in spectator mode for them. sometimes they can interact with things, other times they can't. not sure what exactly causes it, but it was mentioned it happening everytime my friends controller disconnects midgame.

it was just mentioned a little bit ago, but artificers ice spear, as well as runalds band seems to infinitely proc after an enemy dies to it. not sure completely how it happens with runalds as it happened rarely, but the ice spear does like to proc it consistently. another proc i had that ended up doing massive damage was a sawblade infinite proc. didn't really do anything special. just tossed it out at a brass contraption as well as a greater wisp. they died quick to it because it hit so many times. maybe was in conjunction with the war banner that was near.
also i play on xbox.

1 is invincible scavengers on later runs (very common for me)
2 is sometimes in late runs, a bug happens that you cant interact with anything, this includes teleporter, chests, anything. (ruined a great arti run from me :( )
Hello guys, has anybody gotten the Gotcha achievement for Mul-t's powersaw on console?

on Switch. Scorched Acres. Artificer. Spawned in a Shrine of Chance.
Cannot move, jump, sprint, attack properly, or get away from this spot.
Currently waiting for a big guy to punch me out...

The prismatic trials have been stuck with the same artifacts for a couple of months now. The artifacts are command chaos sacrifice and soul
It is different maps but the artifacts are always the same every time

If an enemy gets Dio's Best Friend they become invincible after they die so that makes high levels in an Artifact of Evolution run pretty much impossible, as well as fights with scavengers or fights against enemies during the last vent in the Void Fields stage. Usually not run-ruining, but its pretty annoying to deal with.
This only happens for huntress but, every time I'm near when the mushrums fire ball forms into the aoe it counts me as terrain and just sticks to me and makes me die, it has ended way Too many potential godruns and it's very frustrating

@finite garnet happens to me too. If I get hit by a mushroom attack it keeps damaging you even if you step out. It is so dumb when it happens and it has ended so many of my runs. This happens about 70% I get hit by the mushrums it ALWAYS kills you when it happens. There is no escaping it. This needs to be fixed. It is honestly the dumbest bug I have ever encountered.
I wouldn't know if it only happens on huntress because I am a huntress main
It only happens on huntress, I play every character whenever I get bored of one and i've only seen it happen on huntress, not commando, mult, engi, acrid, loader, rex, merc, nor artificer
I don’t know if this is known or not but i found a combat shrine on stage 2 desert on merc/monsoon that i cannot interact with. It looks completely normal and i can interact with everything else but not this

Huntress' flurry sometimes permanently doubles the shots when you dont crit the only way to fix is to close the game and start it up again

I've been playing RoR2 on my PS4 for a little while now, love this game by the way, but there is a couple issues I'm having. One of which that pops into my head and is really frustrating me, kinda discouraging too, if I'm being completely honest. It's when I'm trying to unlock MUL-T's power saw ability. I know what I have to do and have tried several different ways more than a dozen times to do it but nothing seems to work. My most recent attempt was just to load myself up with defense items to keep me alive, getting the Imp Overlord down to about 20% health, then hitting it with the Preon Accumulator for the final blow, at point blank range no less so I wouldn't miss, and killed it. I know I hit it, but still nothing. Is there something I'm missing? Is it a bug? I don't know. If anyone can help, that would be much appreciated. Any hints or information would be great!

It's a bug. It will be fixed in the next update. For now, it is impossible to unlock it.

We're assuming November, usually come 3 months after the pc update
Switch. I’m not entirely sure if this is a bug, but if an enemy gets hit with multiple black holes it launches them extremely far away, even out of the stage’s boundaries without killing them. (easiest way to test this is with 1 gesture of the drowned and 25 fuel cells) I ended up soft locking myself when it launched the teleporter boss, I sat there for about 10 minutes before deciding it was a lost cause
PS4. I am not entirely sure if it's just me or it is the game but whenever I play MUL-T for the challenge where I have to kill an imp overlord with the Preon, I do it but it doesn't tell me that the challenge is done

ive just been trying to do the monsoon obliteration achievements on ps4 and well ive not had a problem with the game not ending after killing the twisted scavangers but with engineer it doesnt seem to end the game idk why that is but theres something wrong with it haha
PS4, main menu doesn't work because my console is Asian version the default system confirmation button is circle. Ror2 seemingly adopts that but circle button actually does nothing on the main menu

The problem of that achievement is you need to do the kill with the preon so at the moment you shoot the imp overlord need to be at the pixel of Life to get It @ebon viper

just, sky meadows not spawning the teleporter items after defeating the boss. @near hinge can confirm
we had aurelionite on top of the tp so maybe they did spawn but clipped through the map or something

I had to get it with the actual preon on pc as well, like mentioned I've killed dozens of imp overlords point blank with preon on console without it counting

That's intentional, those trees tanked the framerate on that map.

All the consoles are built from the same project, but there's code and content that gets enabled/disabled depending on the platform. At the time, we didn't have the systems set up to differentiate the base model consoles from the high end ones, (Xbox One/PS4 vs Xbox One X/PS4 Pro), so that kinda stuff would get disabled even though it'd probably be fine on the high end models.
Oh ok makes sense. When you said it had a noticable impact I was initially confused since my X1X seems to handle that map so well even during later stages with all the chaos happening. Thanks!

There's geometry differences too. On siren's call you can kill magma worms simply standing near the ship, but I haven't been able to pull that off on ps4
I've heard of a lot of people having problems with the saw blade unlock but I got it on first try. I unlocked it during hidden realms so maybe it is just introduced during artifacts update
(Nintendo Switch) did anyone else have an experience when the monsters in the Void Fields had a Dio's Best Friend? I went there, and stabilized the cell with an entire army of clay templars, alloy vultures, solus probes, and mushrums still alive. They respawned after a few seconds of extreme lag, and for some reason, I couldn't damage them, despite having items that would otherwise decimate them in a millisecond

Whoever said the sticky mushrum bug only happens on huntress was wrong. Here is footage of it happening on rex.
This is the bug where when hit with a mushrum attack it sticks to YOU, keeps dealing damage regardless of what you do and always kills you.
I'm pretty sure it only happens when you get hit directly by the projectile or get caught in the aoe the exact frame it hits the floor

switch console it is not letting me join my friends lobby and vice versa...the lobby appears but it does not let me select the lobby when it appears, when pressing A button
@restive cobalt temporary fix you can try to refresh the lobby list. It might not work on first attempt but after 2-3 refreshes max it should highlight the lobbies, at which point you'll be able to join

I've noticed through playing him that his shotgun's spread is extremely wide and inaccurate even when it's fully charded compared to it on PC, and his secondary the tazer doesn't even work in most cases, whenever I fire it, it looks like it hits the enemy but it doesn't shock them. I haven't seen people say anything about it but my friend both played today and it was very obvious something is wrong with captain

Armor Piercing rounds are not working on Ps4
@opaque gull i think they work but they don't display orange digits for some reason. if you use command, open a chest, start teleporter, you can damage boss, grab item, and damage boss again. There should be a damage difference, but the digits appear white

I want to report 3 different Bugs
1- the rejuvenetion rakk doesnt give me the double healing, in the clip i activate twice the equipment and its suppose to give me 20% of my health which is like 126 health but It give me the usual 10% which is 63.
2- i didnt get the Aegis barrier.
3-nano bomb when you trow It the bomb hit you but i doesnt do damage only you see the screen like red, like when you get hit, It feels akward.
On PS4 the "and so the left..." message for each survivor isn't showing up in the ending. On a more minor note the Lunar Chimerae during the final boss fight are referred to as "Horde of Many" instead of "Zenith Designs".

On switch, The Captain's spread seems wildly incosistant and doesn't really do much when charged. I dunno if it's a bug, but the charged shot seems way more accurate on pc
Noticed a lot of glitches on Commencement while playing on Switch, handheld mode. Gameplay wise, works great, but has a lot of kinks to work out with the ending cutscene and UI.

When the timer for the Moon Detonation appears, it will be in the correct position for a few seconds, but then the timer will move to the top right, which overlaps with other UI elements. It feels broken.

The ending cutscene is completely broken; when the cutscene is supposed to fade to black, it instead just displays an image of what appears to be Commencement's skybox. Also, It stayed completely black when it was supposed to read the '...and so he left' message, which is a pretty crucial part of the series.

On the topic of cutscenes, try to find a solution to how you load the game while the opening cutscene plays. For the first few seconds, the cutscene will stutter as the game loads files, which feels unpolished.

I've had framerate dips that have made the game unplayable and I've noticed that grabbing Mired Urn on Engineer makes the turrets suck health off of you constantly! I've also started the game on a 100% battery on Switch, after 30 minutes of playing I'm on 60% (vs 90% after an hour of Hades)

Ever since 1.0 dropped on console, Acrid’s leap has had a pretty annoying bug effecting it. The jump ability is sending me about five times further than it used to, which is making it almost impossible to use in combat. Has anyone else been having this issue?
I did, the only thing that should have changed it was the “mobility skills count as sprinting.” That doesn’t really explain why I’m being sent halfway across the map suddenly.

Sprinting increases your speed by 40%, which translates to a jump that's way more than 40% longer if I remember my physics right

Ageis does not work with the captain, when fighting overloaded beetles in multiplayer I cannot shoot them sometimes when in another person's game and only host can hit them.
Still since every update this has not been fixed getting randomly disconnected in multiplayer games and being unable to reconnect. It's annoying I cant play multiplayer games because every time we get around stage 3-4 or 45 minutes in game one of us disconnects randomly and we cant reconnect the new ps party system no longer has join session so we can't get back in at all. This needs to he fixed so we can complete 1 game on multiplayer

Now that 1.0 is on console can we please get a fix with these random disconnects mid game. I'm on a gigabit connection ethernet cable this is not an internet issue. Even on the first one on console I remember this happened a lot as well. There needs to be something setup so we can rejoin our friends from inside the game if we disconnect legitimately not from whatever is causing it in the game. If the host gets disconnected there needs to be a migration system to keep everyone in game and transfer host to someone else instead of kicking everyone out and putting you back on main menu.

yes, this was on issue on PC after 1.0 too
although it was fixed in a hotfix and is back to normal on PC
so I would assume it is not intentional and expect a fix in a console update soon

Played for several hours yesterday on xbox so here's everything I've found so far
Captains taser fails to stun enemies about 60% of the time, ranging from lemurians to golems.
The water on rallypoint delta is completely transparent, allowing you to see level geometry.
Dying at high speeds sends the character through level geometry and out of bounds
Acrid's toxic leap has about 3 times the momentum than before the 1.0 update with much less midair control, did not test with his alternate leap.
When beginning a new run enemies have already spawned inches away from the escape pod.
Can also vouch for the Caustic Leap momentum, Taser (probably a hitbox issue, works perfectly on larger enemies like Elders and Chimeras), and High Velocity Death
Also, some interactables are spawning halfway in the ground, even a multishop did which was pretty funny (Switch, Docked)
I've also experienced very minor stuttering in the intro cutscene as well as in game in just about every stage.
The stuttering for the intro is just the game loading as the cutscene plays, to cut back on black screens
I'm gonna repeat what I said yesterday because I forgot to mention the console that had the issue but the brilliant behemoth on xbox isnt dealing extra damage I got it early in a huntress run and I saw no extra damage number or improvement in dps
Could have worded that better, intro cutscene has significant stuttering while in game has the minor stuttering. Not to be confused with the drop in fps that comes with long runs which did not occur prior to 1.0.

Sawmerang apply the lunar efigy debuff instead of bleed
Nano-bomb deals self damage when firing it. It seems to be 0 damage, but the screen flashes red and it disables cautious slug
Also here to say the mobile turrets aren't moving for me either. On Switch
Fun yet gamebreaking bug for co-op it feels is the yellow item “Mired Urn” instantly kills players nearby the person who has the item when in combat, as it procs to the nearby players as well
In a two-player game, my friend and I spawned across the map from each other. I think it would be a cool feature, but it seems to be a bug.
Also Captain's taser sometimes reflects off of enemies, including golem. Seems to reflect off of all bosses, but I know know if that's intended or not.
Another bug involves the Mired Urn again causing the friendly aureolinite to become hostile to the player
Oh, and Mitrhix's text seems to randomly repeat itself sometimes. I don't know if they are just random messages, or if they are supposed to have an order.
Hey, so this is a problem that i've encountered with this update that hasnt happened previously, so i can only assume it's a bug: When i attempt to log on to a match with a friend, or vice versa, we get an error message stating it cannot connect. This hasnt happened before and we've both tried several reccomended solutions, but nothing has worked. I dont know if this is a bug on the game's part, but if it is, i hope it gets fixed. (I play on Switch)
I think this button isn't randomized. I've been to aqueduct after the update probably at least 10 times, and one of the buttons is always here, I've checked every time

Multiplayer on Switch doesn’t work at all when trying to play with friends, Captains Secondary barely works the majority of the time + has no ring shown around Healing beacon, Water graphics on Rally Point Delta are not showing at all (making it look whacky), Captains name shows up in challenges when not unlocked, Exposed on Merc is completely resetting cooldowns.

Essentially, there is no possible rebuttal that this is a wifi problem, as my and my friend suspected.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but (on xbox) sometimes mithrix jumps at me. He'll be running at me and do one of his dash moves (on perfectly flat land) and leap into the air. It doesn't seem like intended behaviour.

I'm not sure if this is intended, but on switch (usually the stage "sky meadow") if I take fall damage, it's like I trigger a bleed/burn affect and continuously take damage until I die. Here's the thing though, it doesn't show that I have any debuff

Idk if this is a bug or a mistake, but on controller the Captain's beacons are switched from right to left instead of corresponding to where the triggers are placed naturally and it gets a bit confusing sometimes

For some reason Artificers base secondary seems to do self damage when you use it but it doesn't actually hurt you

I've been watching a lot of stuff about captain, and one of the biggest things that I've noticed is that captain's spread on pc is tiny and on console it is massive
I know this has been brought up a hundred times already but I just wanted to add the fact after comparing the shot gun on pc and the shotgun on console side by side, the difference is astounding
has anyone noticed the spawn rates being super high on console, most notably the early stages
it helps with early game farming but sucks when i'm playing captain cause i cannot shoot the wisps due to his spread issue

@glacial adder Mithrix doesn't have to be in the center for the cartwheel flame pillar attack (I know his landing after the jump isn't in the centre but that's unrelated to this). Furthermore, the jump distance on Acrid is not bugged. It felt like that at the start of 1.0 on PC as super fast as well, but takes time to get used to.

Finally found out the problem with MUL-T's saw, all you need to do is to make sure that the Imp overlord has a EXTREMELY low hp bar before you kill it with Preon.

[PS4] Sometimes after killing Mithrix the end screen says ’Lost connection’ and I can’t continie from the ending screen. Need to restart whole game.

I unlocked it on ps4 just now. I did it with the prismatic trial being careful not to pick up any damage items or guillotine. Imp overlord spawns from second teleporter around 9 minutes
That challenge really seems broken though. It really should count any kill as long as preon was involved somewhere in the damage chain
apparently getting up close to the overlord's ass and shooting it in the ass has been a functioning method

@normal mica I don't think that's a bug it's just how overloading aspect works like when you have wake of vultures your shield just turns back to normal health it's just overpowered on mul-t since he can switch it on and off

Okay, I have played the game for 10 hours ever since update 1.0 came to switch the thing is, only half of the maps are even available, for some reason I have only been getting the dessert, scorched acres and abysal depths, the other maps such as rally point delta, sirens call, and the wet lands are just not showing up no matter what.
If this is not a bug this is the worst luck in the world.
The 'So he left' messages aren't showing up. I've beaten the game with both huntress and loader, still no message. This is.. really ruining it for me me, since I have to look it up on the wiki and that doesn't feel as rewarding.

So I have beaten the game, unlocking Loader and Captain. I got into the main menu to take a rest and then it forces me to only be able to select Eclipse or the Prismatic Trials. Trying to do anything seems to only delete my progress.
I like the leap buff on acrid but it's basically uncontrollable I don't know if it's meant to be completely uncontrollable or what but it feels weird that's for sure

I honestly think swarm is bugged still. But now instead of turning off after a shrine, it doubles spawns after shrine of the mountain without them undoubling after the stage. So I'll get 4 bosses without a shrine of the mountain active on the next stage. I mean I usually like lots of enemies, but with captain it can be a little difficult to deal with.
I play on Nintendo Switch. When using Captain I've noticed two things. His secondary action, the Taser Ball does not work correctly. When I shoot it at enemies it just bounces off them. Secondly, when using his Support Beacons, none of the icons show to let you know which beacon is aligned to which button.

Oh wow Engineer is actually unplayable on Switch.
Besides the mobile turret bug there is another game-breaking bug:
Whenever you pull up your harpoon as engineer and your mines are on cooldown, their cooldown gets reset to 8 seconds.
So let's say the mines only had 2 seconds left before they'd be available again; if you use your harpoons (or literally just press the button [LB] to pull up that HUD), the cooldown for the mines goes back to 8 seconds

Artificer's bomb does self damage- it doesn't actually hurt you but it shows the red flash and activates things like medkit and disables cautious slug
The ending messages don't display, I've tested this with 3 characters and my friend doesn't see them either

You are not entirely safe when standing there, it's just that the beams move so fast that you'll rarely need to even move to dodge them
The closer you are to Mithrix the more careful you need to be for the beams
However it should also be said that Mithrix is supposed to jump up and land in the center, not where he initially jumped
So if he jumped up near the pillars or ramps and started the beams there they would be more likely to hit you
