Basically what they did is patched 4 bugs, half of which weren't mentioned in the patchnotes and were addressed to [switch] and then doubled and ported the 200 bugs all over to pc

Be careful trying to get in early by the way, some people have glitched and forced their way in and lost their save files completely

Bug report: just chiming in as another data point to say that I'm on Xbox Series X and my save data is also currently wiped (120+ hours wiped) EXCEPT I see a lot of my runs still there. Progress is at 0%, "time played" is at 0:02, all my items, unlocks, characters, achievements (in-game, not xbox achievements), etc are all greyed out/blacked out and gone. Some have an unlocked lock-symbol on them but still greyed out, some are just complete blacked out. It seems that many/most/if not all of my run history is still there though (e.g. "Defeat!" or "Victory!" with the characters I used, etc., characters I no longer have access to). It says I installed the game in ~August 2024, so idk if that fits into their timeline of "old" accounts, but I think I actually started the account a few years before that on a different console or on the Xbox One. Can't remember exactly, so my account is either just from August 2024 or possibly a couple years older. At one point, all my character slots were of Commando, but that went away and now I have Commando, Huntress, Railgunner, and Seeker as my defaults (have not played yet, waiting for bug fixes). I did try to use the alternate controller/guest account thing, and it went from not showing my profile name, to showing my profile name but with all my data not appearing. It did automatically start "syncing" my data when I came in after the guest account thing (I also restarted my console after trying it once, because it didn't really quite work the first time and all my characters were commando) and when I tried to press a button instinctively to use the menu, it said "are you sure you want to stop syncing?? you won't have your data then!!" so I said "keep syncing". Just giving as much detail as possible and reposting it wherever the devs are asking or wherever they might see it (this thread was linked by the bug/dev pinned thread).

I was just looking at the ending of the raydans stream and him saying that gearbox really does care even though he can't specify what the talk with them was like at all but it's hard to believe. It's hard to believe when Preston said there's been a patch in the works since day 2 of the dlc. It's hard to belive after those sleepless sleepless nights of laying awake in my dark room just updating the spreadsheet, filling myself in on every message that could have something important to it. It's so hard to believe that they care, when I put so much work, and got told that they saw it, was for nothing. It's so hard to believe, when they make up bugs that literally don't exist to make it seem like they're doing something, for example two of the "bug fixes" in the devotion notes

Like I was playing Seeker and was
Moving onto the next stage, the purple one I forgot the name, and then I saw all my items on my character gone. It was still in my inventory but I couldn't see them on my character. Then I saw I couldn't attack or be damaged. So I went to the artifact location to see if that fixes it but nope I'm soft-locked in the artifact area

i ended up losing my save data due to the glitch, so i’ve been trying to rebuild it. anyways i tried re-unlocking artificer, but after a few games playing as her with sots enabled both dlcs get locked in the selection as if they hadn’t been purchased. upon restarting the game, the dlcs were unlocked again, but artificer no longer was. tried unlocking her again, same thing happened, though it seems that multiple other achievements were lost, so it could be a coincidence that it’s happened after artificer’s been unlocked. also not fully sure if this bug is exclusive to consoles.

  1. Can only access logbook when opening game. Logbook is empty/has no tabs.

1.1 After backing out, I can access either multiplayer, or split screen multiplayer. I can not access single player or settings.

  1. Upon starting a session, all character profiles are set to commando. My game defaults character select to seeker, and does not let me access any of the character tabs. I can not change difficulty.

  2. The SoTS dlc is sometimes enabled, sometimes locked. Content appears in game regardless.

  3. I am able to interact with the halcyon shrine, but upon completion I am unable to interact with the fragment to select items as my rewards.

  4. My artifacts and lunar coins have transferred over, but none of my trophies/trophy progress has transferred to the ps5 version.

It seems since they forced ROR2 to be a xbox series X/S enhanced game, the game no longer works. The main menu no longer works, you can't select anything and the logbook is also greyed out.
The switch version has audio issues.
As for PS and PC, I don't know how they are.

New bug: Unlimited item pick up in coop. I had Warped Echo and later from what i belive caused it was Ifrits Distinction. It stopped when I gave an equipment drone Ifrits Distinction. The bug caused me to be unable to open any kind of chest or printer but once the item was on the ground I could either press X to pick it up or stand on it and each press or second standing on it I received aprox 25 items of whatever item I was interacting with and it wouldn't disappear or be picked up unless my friend picked it up. the bug did not affect him. I took a bunch of screen shots showing my current items after I noticed the bug. If a Dev messages me directly I will share all the screenshots if needed to fix this bug. It honestly ruined this run because how op my character became.

@iron bough I have found a way to replicate the bugs you where talking about and also get the fixed variety. I don’t know how but holy moly. The acrid one isn’t that game breaking, I found cool movement Tecs I could do with it so it’s kinda just fun (I personally like it better without colliding) and the loader tied to fps is easy to reproduce, and it’s just fun at high fps and the swinging up I got to happen once.. it’s just a visual thing because it has the same hit box, I tested it

I am on Xbox X and have experienced this bug in single player in almost every run, usually multiple times.

Whenever I go to a map, it is supposed to have at least 6-8 items on it, especially on the bigger newer maps (which usually hold more). However, I have experienced times during a run where VERY FEW items will appear on each stage. Often time I will only get 2-4 when this happens. And it’s not like there’s a whole bunch of shrines or barrels or drones that take up the space. The map is usually REALLY BARREN.

One time, I got a measly 2 ITEMS on shattered abodes (excluding the path of colossus shrine reward). Another, I only got 4 items on rally point delta and sky meadows. I can go on and on. The only stage that seems consistent and normal with items is the new treetop stage. But otherwise, sometimes I’ll get normal items; sometimes I’ll only get a few. But either way, it really messes up my runs. Rainstorm feels like monsoon. And monsoon is near impossible, and that’s more from this than some of the other bugs.

I have over 3,000 hours and completed E8s on all survivors TWICE (cause my save got deleted. Long time ago), so I feel like I know what I’m talking about when I say this is a serious problem.

Gotta love artifact of sacrifice and artifact of rebirth both being put into 1 artifact when you turn off sots

(Also, it doesn't even give you the item in your run but it still gets rid of whatever item you had in your rebirth slot, might just be a bug with sots items specifically but who knows. Either ways, it's a bug within a bug and will be fixed entirely once the 1st bug gets patched)

I have been glitched from getting chef still and it has been almost a month now. https://discord.com/channels/417739215355510784/1279196828868411478 if you would like to see how long this has been going on. I, and some other people have had this bug since we tried to obtain chef and I don’t believe there is a lot of attention around it because it was kind of rare to obtain in the first place. When the game was bugging out on Xbox at the beginning of the update I was able to get into a game and when that happened, even though since at the time you could only play the character you last were I decided to unlock chef just to have him when the update was in a more playable state. After putting in the items for chef and starting the pot, I did not receive an in game or out of game achievement. Since the game has been put in a more playable state I am still unable to obtain him. I hope this can be addressed soon and I really hope to get to play my favorite looking character.

I don’t know if this is a bug or it’s my problem but I can’t play risk of rain multiplayer, everytime I open and reopen the game it keeps me in the multiplayer menu to try “connecting” but it never does, I’ve tried deleting the game and redownloading it it doesn’t work, I’ve tried testing the nat type to keep it on open not moderate.

Game has no cloud service for saves. You should always keep a backup somewhere, be it USB, 1st party cloud, or even on another user. Heck, it can even be uploaded/updated automatically, if you so desire, but if you upload from time to time anyway, it might be best to keep it manual.

So, if you play on another system (of the same family, obviously), you need to move your saves manually, either through USB or your system's save data cloud service.

Some achievements/trophies that you already have will automatically unlock stuff for you when on a fresh save data, but not everything.

The special case here that makes a difference is when upgrading to a newer-gen console. 
if you move from PS4 to PS5, for exemple, you'd need to first install the PS4 version of the game on PS5, and move your save data over as well. Load in to ensure save is fine. Once in, you can leave, upgrade app to the PS5 version, and launch it. 

PS5 save data will be built on-the-spot, using your PS4 save file that's on the system already. 
In the end, you'll have a PS4 save data and a PS5 save data, for exemple, on the same console, + your OG file on your older gen console, + your backup(s), wherever they may be.

If you've been doing your backups responsibly every now and then, there is little to no chance of "losing" all of your data. If you messed up a step, you can always go back to a previous point in that chain of actions, to essentially resume from there.

I believe that the only way to really lose progress forever would be to fail steps, and then overwrite not only your backup saves but also your OG saves, in a moment of panic, while attempting to recover them. eg: overwrite your OG and/or backup by using the cloud's "upload" feature instead of "download" feature, or the USB method equivalent of this.

idk if this is a bug or not but i recycled an item and it turned into what appeared to be a knock back fin. Except this was of green rarity and was called the breaching fin

With this new updates all the sots items (except for sale star) got reworked
Fin and antlers got renamed and fin changed tiers from white to green

The Bulwark's Ambry portal not spawning after the event is completed. Just rebought the game on Xbox and was going through the artifacts and ran into this. Not sure what caused it because it's the first time it's happened after I've almost unlocked them all. Only SotV dlc on the account https://www.xbox.com/play/media/6vsP8Jm9Pf

On Xbox I lost mercenary, artificer, and Rex when I had unlocked all three yesterday. This is the second time I’ve lost characters within the five days I’ve been playing the game. Can u give me them back plz
