If you want to go slightly faster you might want to take a Rubalds band to one shot the second boss. You’ll probably have to time wasting a cooldown on a prism so the bands are ready for the boss.
Also maybe nuking the two prisms near the start with frags? Saves half a second.

been a while since i've done a speedrun of a trial. i usually only speedrun trials with glass since a bunch of different characters are viable which makes it more fun

there are a couple of strats for stage 1, this one is the fastest i could think of but really reset heavy since the first grapple punch is really precise with invincibility timing...

this trial is easy since all you have to do is not get hit

keep moving on stage 1, the hardest part is getting the brooch and gasoline, once you have both the rest is free. audio is the most important, i turned my volume up to max and turned off all other sounds so i can hear when wisps spawn and if i'm getting shot at

the incinerator drone is completely useless 90% of the time, but it doesn't hurt to pick it up anyways. kjaro is useful against the 1st boss but don't waste time going out of your way to pick it up since wisp spawns on stage 1 are pretty bad

this trial took way too long. i didn't think it would be too hard but i kept taking random damage from some wisp or a bomb

first stage is very annoying. if you don't go as fast as i do a lot more things will spawn which will make the boss much harder. try to chain dashes and manage cooldowns like i do so you don't waste time

Yeah, I was lucky and got a glass + swarms run, so I used eviscerate and annihilated everything without actually getting hit at all, unlike other methods where you increase your health past 100%

on stage 1 sometimes you kill the beetle queen faster, might be because something else hits it with chaos idk

#

on stage 2 the vultures can spawn in a different way but this also works for that

#

there are probably other small optimisations that could save time

#

also the ballista going the wrong way at the start of stage 2 was not intentional

#

you want to keep moving in the direction towards the teleporter

#

maybe dash straighter through the corner to the stage 2 teleporter

#

level 4 out of stage 1 (e.g. by destroying more crystals) might be better but i didn't try to get it

using an old ballista strat which lost almost a second on s1. i messed up the ballista on s2 a bit so i decided to try something new for the boss and somehow ended up getting a fast 2nd boss i wasn't ever able to beat again, so i decided to upload this run anyways

the only thing that matters for stage 1 is using ballista as early as possible so...

3 brooches might be a bit overkill but i'm still a bit traumatized from last trial. it leaves a ton of room for error and you can even tank getting frozen (like at 2:45) and the bombs are no issue if you keep brooch barrier up

also watch out for the wisp spawn at the start of the second stage, i can definitely see it killing a run or 2

If you're on PC you can do it easily with captain, just grab the crowbar and diablo strike the stage 1 boss and use the artifact portal on stage 2 to finish the trial

the way i got it was i got a seed on aqueduct then delta where brooch and glasses were next to tp, so i grabbed those then used evi to dodge wisps, then tped to delta where there was a flaming boss so brooch definitely came in clutch cuz every time i touched him i took damage, then just made sure to avoid every shot while pressing the final tp

make sure to interact with the prongs around the teleporter before starting the 1st boss, that way you go to the normal second stage instead of going to mithrix

i didn't check for any items, because the first stage is beetles and the second boss just fights itself. there could be some useful items though
