hey, as we're working on artifacts, the question about prismatic trials comes up. What would you guys want in terms of artifacts being seeded into PT? Would it be more or less enjoyable if artifacts were part of the seed?
not only that, but for PT in general: is there any changes on the rules of the gamemode that would make it more fun? In general, I think we'd like it more if the items were more important, but the best strategy is typically rushing straight to the TP.

Since Trials is already pretty dead, the people who do play them really only want
- An incentive to play them, to attract more people. Offering a single LC for completion is a step in the right direction, because it'd at least get people to play it more often and optimize to be faster at it. Ignoring cheaters.
- Some sort of variety to runs. Modifiers a la StS dailies would be good, the way they do it is that it draws from a pool of 2 positives and 1 negative modifier per seed. Another idea to mix in would be the way BoI handles their dailies, by occasionally pre-starting you with certain items that may change things up. I'm not the person to ask about interesting preset item combinations, but the idea is there.
- To make getting items more worth it, like Forgot said, sending items directly into your inventory and skipping the chest open + item grab pause time would give runners the opportunity to speed by a chest and grab something that is mildly helpful but otherwise isn't worth the time it would take currently to wait for it when shooting for speed. Maybe even removing items from the healing pool entirely would give dps items a higher chance of appearing and thus make items in general more worthwhile to route to. Maybe.
Oh, and also removing the additional text box when attempting to restart, or even adding in a quick restart (trials) keybind that you have to hold for like 2 seconds.
As was said, the game mode is pretty empty. Nothing will really make it more dead right now, so any change to spice it up would at least bring it to peoples' attention again. EA is the perfect time to try throwing things at it.

You'd also have to be wary of how far away you are from the teleporter while you're exploring, so you can be close when it ends

so take your time and loot if you need to, but going fast is better
