The merc runs are specifically for getting the no-hit unlock for merc’s alt Special. Nothing’s stopping you from doing it with any other character. There’s not a no-hit requirement for it on anyone else

Though they do do runs with other characters on occasion

I am enjoying trying to optimize my run, even if I am not the best it is enjoyable

I can definitely understand how loader is top tier for trials if you know how to play her, but from the last two trials ive come to the personal conclusion that if the trail incentives burst damage, railgunner seems to be the best for when the crystals are a great detour from optimal routing to needed items and the TP, while loader seems best for when there isn't much detouring needed to include crystals in optimal routing

thats just what I theorize at the moment I could be wrong about optimal burst damage centred trials

Had an actually good prismatic trial run going with loader. Made it to stage 3 before 10 minutes and had a Dios best friend. Then it went downhill because of the active artifacts causing a clone to spawn every 10 minutes and it will have all your items. THEY WOULDN'T STOP RUNNING AWAY I gave up at the 3 hour mark with 5 loaders all running away on stage 3

so I just finished my ethereal achievement and I figured out some things

he oneshots with eviscerate because it isnt a oneshot. he buffers a primary3 + eviscerate to get an expose and the invincibility frame just right after eviscerate he primary + secondary.

if you get to the boss before 1 minute they usually dont spawn but idk the spawning mechanics behind that.

Today's trial has lemy buddy's which i used for distraction and give them your heal and damage reduction items because your trying not to get hit in the first place, the enemy's are only children so the projectile is slow, manage your fall damage don't break your ankles.
For stage 1 when the timer gets to 9:55 use tp because your doppelganger is about to spawn, this is so you can cheese it. Use the expose dash, then the multi slash for crystals i am not good with remembering names.

Why are prismatic trials so laggy? I am trying to do the Mercenary challenge but I keep taking damage due to the lag. For example, Ill hit a crystal to get it low, I hear the sound of a hit, but the visual isn't there and it doesn't take damage, so I do another hit and then it suddenly decides to register the first hit and breaks the crystal, damaging me. Or I take damage from running where a fire enemy recently walked (although there are no fire particles even near me anymore). It is so insanely unpredictable and atm it seems like it is more about learning to play with crazy lag rather than play well

Ror 2 is an offline game in a lot of aspects and most platforms lock downloaded dlc behind an active Wifi connection so by putting it into an update with a dlc that flags your account for the content to be available, will always be available whatever situation you're in

Nope, I have 100% stable performance playing classic mode. My frames drop from 144 down to 60 after a couple of loops but that's it. I never have any lag whatsoever. My CPU and GPU are both sub 40% usage during prismatic trials yet the game is lagging.

Solus scorchers don't really know how to deal with flying units

Im definitely playing a different survivor for a good clear time tho mending solus scorchers horde of many is one of the few things my favorite drifter skill set up struggles to deal with.

Hey everyone, I just joined the disc server and I had a question because I see some fast runs about 45 seconds on the prismatic trials, and I was wondering what resources there were to see how to do something like that. I thought about going to the bazaar and void fields but when i leave the void fields it just returns me back to stage 2 where the speedruns i see online it just finishes their run.
I also noticed that in the speedruns ive seen they have to donate to newt altar but this already has the blue and green portal available
I also even just found the newt altar and donated to it as well and it still didnt work

Previous version of the game had void fields increase the stage count, it got changed back to not counting as a stage I think with dlc2
There's a small chance that blue portals spawn naturally without newt, green portals spawn on dlc2 stages like in the current trial

Generally cheaters tend to use commando, huntress, merc and have impossibly low times. Generally the fastest trials will have enigma, command or glass

Some trials are just not great for fun speedruns unfortunately

That's pretty good for a new loader, s2 is pretty awful with the invalidators

The route looks decent considering you need the void band for s2, there's an apr next to tp s1 that will help too

Usually with enigma trials there's one survivor that has well suited equipment so I'll try and see if other survivors are better
