they drop bombs and wisps on death, but they also do friendly fire. So, let them group up, get a kill, then run. the bombs cause a chain reaction and start killing each other

How do you know which survivor will be the fastest just curious

usually, the best survivors are loader and railgunner (because of their damage and mobility) for most of the trials. but it depends on the artifacts, stage, items, and crystal placements, allowing other survivors to be the fastest for some trials. for this trial, mul-t has access to equipment that allows it to kill bosses really fast because of enigma and a whip for s2.

If you stand in the wrong spot you'll either miss the skip or the boss will spawn in a different spot and i assume it's also harder when the boss is smaller or has an unorthodox body, it's kind of a precise trick.

Additionally you have to restart the entire trial if you miss the skip(and it's easy to fail every time you start over, one stray wisp and you have to restart again because it's ethereal chall)

Prismatic Trials just give you access to DLC content and are more or less the same in RNG execution, so that shouldn't be a problem

What might possibly be happening is that you're taking longer than Cabbage is, which can alter enemy spawning in some points (especially teleports)

Hey there, I'm looking for advice on today's trial. I'm trying for Mercenary achievement but I can't figure out how to avoid getting hit by both boss. On first map, the one that spawn next to the root always fire before I got the chance to dash away to the plateform. not intentional, if you hit tp and newt there is effectively a 50/50 of just going to the wrong stage and losing, but theres also a guarantee the teleporter animation saves 1-2 seconds

i think you can force the stage by killing an enemy in the same manner that verst does with the beetle after hitting the tp, but im not 100% on why it works

it's intentional, activating 2 exits triggers 2 countdown timers which makes gold count down faster, the enemy kill at 0 gold delays the first exit timer which makes the destination predictable

fwiw it might be possible to consistently control the destination by timing the portal between specific countdown ticks (eg. between 1->2/3->4 gold countdown)

at the very least, activating portal when the gold countdown reaches 0 will consistently end up in bazaar

i did this during the last trial and it worked pretty well, but i think the interval between activating the portal and the teleporter may be hardware dependant like it was with CE unrestricted speedruns
