hi does anyone have any tips for no damage as merc i find it quite easy to take no damage from most enemies but i really struggle with stuff like titan vagrant dunestrider and wisps. i find i cant kill them fast enough before i take damage especially with wisps and pests 😥

in truth i find it difficult to dodge wisps regardless of the character it seems to always spawn just a hair too many so i take chip damage which is ok unless you need to take no damage😬

when i got my merc challenge done it was just artifact of kin + any non-hitscan enemy like golems / wisps

i think it was artifact of kin + lemurians and i used spare drone parts to pick them off from a distance

if you see any artifact of rebirth trials that don't also have devotion, you could use a spare drone parts strategy to get this challenge done nowadays

i'd recommend scouting out the levels thoroughly first because you only get one attempt with the spare drone parts before the artifact of rebirth resets to some random white item

the attack doesn't fly as a projectile, it just scans where it's aimed at and decides if it hits or not

but the golem aim speed is slower than your base sprint speed, meaning they hit the air if you move fast enough

Now for ethereal specifically wisps are a bit worse because you have to dodge every one of the hitscan shots (assuming you lack barrier) but blind pests do still come close

does anyone know what artifacts are the easiest to do mercs challenge with?

Beneficial: Command, Glass, Rebirth, Delusion, Enigma, Kin (if you get an easy enemy like beetles)
Neutral: Chaos, Death, Devotion, Frailty, Sacrifice, Vengeance
Harmful: Honor, Spite, Soul, Dissonance, Evolution, Kin (if you get a particularly annoying enemy like wisps)

With Rebirth, you can do like a singleplayer quick command run where you speedrun the false son and put spare drone parts in the cauldron at the end, then carry it over to the prismatic trial and have drones destroy everything that gets close to you (only first attempt though)

also if you get Sky Meadow (or Helminth Hatchery) as stage 2 on any prismatic trial, you can skip the teleporter and just go through the artifact portal to end the trial

Other than that helpful information, you're gonna have to get good at Mercenary

If you match cabbages time then generally you're doing pretty good

I have tried since release and I can't even get close it seems don't even want it to use just want to unlock it

The trials seems to always just have the one thing that slams me every time

Then if still struggling, use a cabbage guide

Glass is only an upside since you can't get hit anyway

like i got the unlock when it was beetle guard then beetle kin in a trial

got a pretty okay time but was bottlenecked by the dunestrider's move where it goes up in the air

main damage from band so it would sometimes just get out of its radius and not take the full damage so i had to reset a bunch of times

hey, i am going for ethereal merc achievement on today's prismatic trial and noticed that both chance doll and recycler are in the first area. i am curious if anyone knows if chance dolled shrine drops and recycled items are consistent across attempts and if recycled items from a printer are also consistent (given the same loadouts, is the same item lost to the same printer? and if you recycle the printed item, will it always be the same?)
