missed this somehow. This "skip" happens when you are a frame late, but multiple boss mobs spawn. Since the first beetle (and the only one with an active health bar) actually dies, it triggers the boss kill, but the event doesn't end since more beetles are spawning in at the same time.

sometimes 4 lemurians spawn as a group, and the other 2 spawn downside

and glaive can kill the 4, ballista for the last 2

the real reason to choose preon is aiming down in such short time is too difficult to me

tips for other people trying this:

• get a topaz brooch from the first chest you spawn next to and get razorwire from all greens
• get a preon from the equipment chest
• get repulsion armor from any extra whites you pick up
• make sure you have barrier before you start stage 2 teleporter

wont be fast but you'll get the unlock and thats what matters
