I'm really not, this is just the easiest prismatic trial there's been in awhile.

I feel like anyone that's thinking about getting Ethereal should probably do it now while this one is still up. I'm sure we'll see people later who missed it, has to deal with a much harder one, and regrets.

I forgot how to proc bands for the bison

You can only proc bands by hitting an exposed enemy

It's kinda hard to see, but cabbage does that in their video by exposing with m1 and hitting them with the dash at the same time(you can see they dash during the third m1 swing)

You don't need to be that precise though, I can't even do that tech consistently.

Worst case scenario just get the bison grouped together, expose, and try to kill them and dodge the blind pests(and killing the wisps before they shoot you) long enough to activate the teleporter and leave, which is what I did

Blind pests can be dodged by running in a curved/circular motion

i got a better time by using a strat cabbage made me think of

going railgunner, i got a kjaro from the tp, then stood on the horn of the tp, sniping every bison at once with a well placed supercharge

problem is, that launches you into the air and it takes a few seconds to land

also, the wisps have a prime opportunity to gang up on you while you're vulnerable

It's not that bad, honestly, what I did to get the skill a couple weeks ago was to watch Cabbage's run, and follow their strats to the letter

The real trouble with this one is the wisps that emerge, but the solution to them is to hit the tp and get the fuck out of there as soon as the bison are dead

By which I mean press the tp button, then run as far away as he can

So the inability to get shield generators is really crippling

Shield Gens don’t help you tho 🤭

When doing the merc challenge, if you have shield generators you can take damage without having to restart your run

Since you never fall below 100 percent hp

The first stage was hard but once I got past it, the second was easy as hell

Destroy all 3 crystals on both stages and beat the teleporter

Then do it again

All that matters is that you kill the teleporter boss. When it dies, it instantly charges. The idea is to destroy the three crystals and obliterate the tp boss as quickly as possible

Pick a survivor with high burst damage, like railgunner, and ignore enemies, for the most part

For merc's achievement, wait for cabbage to post their run. They do the achievement on every single trial and show a video of the successful run

Artifacts like glass are king in trials, because if you do them right, you'll barely be hit anyway

Artifacts like kin, on the other hand, can be horrible, forcing you to fight a horde over a boss you could one-shot

By far the best items you can get for these runs are bands and crowbars

In short, break crystals, kill boss, do it twice, speed is war

sacrifice is the worst artifact in trial and always make me spend more time on it or give up

For the Merc challenge, Topaz is also great, since Barrier isn’t Health

Loader and railgunner don't need items to set a good time, use them for sacrifice trials, or learn which enemies drop items

any enemies will drop items, that part is not set

I think it might be incrementally how many are killed, like say it’s seeded that the drop chance lines up on the 5th enemy spawned per attempt, so the 5the enemy killed always drops the item, regardless which the 5th kill was

Well its meant to teach you how to avoid damage as mercenary using his invincibility frames

What I did was

Stage 1: go right, pick up the drone, pop the crystal and pick up the crowbar
Go down towards the crystal that you can see while picking up the crowbar
Pop the crystal and go towards the teleporter, pick up the fireworks behind the teleporter, destroy the crystal near the ship, activate the teleporter and open the chest near it, picking up the chronobauble
Then for the horde of insects I did what Cabbage did, except you can attack them with M1 while standing above them to take out about half their health and save some time

Stage 2: go beyond the chest, get to the barrel and wait until the wisps spawn, then open the barrel to kill the wisps. Go down to your right, get to the healing chest and wait for at least 1 wisp to spawn before opening it. Pick up the topaz brooch.
Same thing with the chest near it, kill a couple of enemies and open it for a gasoline. Open the barrel near the gasoline. Get to the shrine, pop the crystal next to it and roll it once for a teddy (second drop is useless). Now go up to your spawn and open the chest, pick up the ICBM and go towards the last crystal in the "lake"-like area. After the crystal, activate the teleporter and then the shrine next to it, the missiles should kill most of the enemies

On s1, I grabbed the cliff above and punched the distant disk before flying to the bottom of the disk. The second m2 had already cooled down and continued forward. Afterwards, you will be teleported to the crystal behind the disc, punched to destroy it and fly upwards, slam the second crystal, and then destroy the one under the bridge.
On s2, I destroyed the crystal next to the preon box, then used free eq to destroy the one in the distance, and then destroyed the other one next to it. Finally, use preon to kill those Rats. (bazaar route)

That free eq is a glitch, press e and q to a equipment when u havnt one, can use it once without going into cooling.

Ive seen many people do it on various survivors

mercenary it does nothing but helps internalize rhythm, loader it gives a very small boost forward when you use the attack, and if you sprint right after you go a little faster
