the semi-true answer is that the way being airborne and air control interacts with air speed makes the concept of super clean rocket jumping ala quake or TF2 pretty gimped

anything similar to rocket jumping was like a workaround

because we have to steal ur air control (I think?) in order to offer you the 'push'

its been awhile

so early on when commandos grenade was designed (before I was hired) I assume the thought was that it ended up just being a messy yucky interaction that you couldn't really net enough off of so it was just avoided

but atleast we have roll boosting off of rocks and stuff...

I put a lot of specific rocks on the moon and in sotv for the commando in little weird places lol

The boss hitbox spawns above in the 1st frame. Missiles have to hit the hitbox on that frame to skip (also has to deal the minimum damage needed)
