You're lucky if either of us get someone to join; i'd at least hop in a vc. Your chances go up in a vc drastically; i almost never see someone respond to random lfg requests though, when they do it's about 8 hours ago so that window is gone. i edit just about everything but it's mostly opening up the bazaar so it's useful; negating fall damage and adding extra skills in every possible way cause 4 skills gets boring as fk; a fair bit more characters for the same reason; some more difficulties so i have more of a choice of where i want to sit that day that are similar but all a step up from vanilla since it's WELLL too easy for majority of things and then item improvements and additional items because base items just don't fit for vanilla no less adding difficulty in and then more often interacteables so you're not suffering by trying to play with people because they horde everything which is no longer an issue when there's a good 70-100 chests a stage with like 25 shrines to boot; and then rework to the 3 bosses in order to make them seriously challenging and then some tweaks to make it so i can loop all 3 bosses and continue afterwards as well as a new obliterate so it's not just walking simulator to the end of it.

you know; standard tweaking everything i absolutely hate so that way i can re-enjoy the game.

at least this way i get infinite runs that are going to all play out differently no matter what.

I've spent weeks finely tuning this thing until it all fits together and probably have a couple more until i get fine tune settings but that speeds up the more people give feedback about certain items etc and what could possibly lead to crashes to reduce those to 0 if possible as well as looking back through loading times etc to improve that which i've improved by 3 minutes entirely down to 2 min 30sec launch to somewhere around 3 minute launch time roughly in between the two as it was 6 minute launch time with this many mods last time; i just had to look at the several characters etc that took several thousand frames to load in in the first place and remove em out so it's faster to load in than the base game cutscene takes to load now and about as fast as base game is to download if not a little slower and then runs smoother than base game on average as well as enough anti lag to ensure even if you're going overboard that you don't suffer as much and for as long if at all in some scenarios as the whole point is to at least be able to cast skills, if you can't cast skills then it ruins the point of playing in the first place which vanilla doesn't seem to realize.

was more but then i realize some mods like driver specifically take 4250 frames to load in just the base mod whereas most other characters take anywhere between 200-400 for lighter to 600-800 for heavier ones and 1100+ for the ultra heavy ones and then a few outliers like driver sorceress mortician and celestial war tank taking upwards of 3k a pop before you even load in their full mod, that's just the hiccup from the loader even looking their direction before you load in the other 500+ frames they take each which can add up when the pack takes 200k frames on average to load being upwards of 270k when i finally parsed it with the mods and 207k by menu when some of the egregious outliers are weeded out for performance, more could be done but it would also take alot of the content out with it so small outliers were left in to keep the session smooth.

one day when people quit caring about loading times ill probably put em back but for now i've fixed every possible complaint a person could have with a modpack over 300 mods homerhide

oh and yes i went through the 30mb file i posted in the modding chat just to count absolutely every possible frame a mod took to load up on startup as well as look at each error that could be given on the way by to see what mods where yelling at what other mods to see if something was worth keeping.

not to mention the configs for everything to sit well on startup to begin with; only to eventually just play myself cause everyone seems to play vanilla with like 14-30 people total actually playing modded and even then having this weird thing against a "certain mod count being bad" if someone took the time to configure a modpack that big in the first place then to expect them to lower it because you don't like a number then you can't complain when content is just flat missing because you asked for it to be gone; that's my only real gripe here to be completely honest.

probably why people are so stuck on vanilla for this game is the fact that modding to them feels like this daunting mountain to climb and then they try to climb it by themselves and fall off like everyone else has but they don't get back up they just sit in the lava without knowing the heat of it.

yeah, that's one of the major things i attempt to prevent alot but people like their back to back runs so i give into a few until they take too long to load or start complainin then i just go 'we'll restart after this run just to refresh' type thing as i know this seems to work like lethal company did and just gets wierder and wierder cause things cache that shouldn't.

some things just don't unload properly after a while but thats to be expected when none of the mod creators ever figured that their mods would be in with so many similar ones. That's why i started focusing on loading times since it's commin back into play with the gameplay loop.
