Characters don't have alts for every single ability. Just look at MUL-T, he only has his weapons and his alt special. His dash and secondary have no alts. They could've done like at least 1 or 2 alts, i'm not saying they should've done them all but doing none just seems weird since every survivor has unlockable alt skills

It is confirmed that if you pick up a corrupted item it will corruped ALL of that item currently in your inventory as well as ALL of that item you pick up in the future. It does NOT corrupt the same item that your friends pick up.

When corrupted it's primary is way more dps it's insane, it's like artificer's flamethrower but it doesn't have a cooldown, the secondary doesn't have to be charged anymore and has a bigger aoe. Those are both big buffs in damage output. Just watching it in the IGN gameplay you can see that he utterly melts bosses in corrupted form

The corrupted form has way more dps but is more close ranged than the normal controlled form, and you can easily stay in controlled form when you want to.
