I had a weird dream last night about what a void version of tougher times could be.

Void items aren't necessarily reversed versions of their base items though. It's usually an altered version of the base items mechanics, with the downside being you can't use its base item any more.

Take the Lost Seer's Lenses for example. They have a chance to insta-kill enemies, which is basically an amplified version of a critical hit. That sounds like an upgrade to the Lens-Maker's Glasses, but it doesn't work on bosses and you lose the glasses' crit chance buff.

We chose the artifact that changes your equipment every time you use it so we could roll lunar items and then we just kept farming enemies for equipment and exchanging them for pearls until we both got irradant, super fun experience

Teleporters emit red-orange (Blue on sky meadows) particles to help indicate where they are
The 5 minutes per stage rule is a bit wrong. It's more optimal to stay and farm chests and try to full clear, which gives you more item leniency and gives you time to learn the map. Obviously you'll still want to leave in a timely manner, but understand you have a lot more time to do things than you think.
Learn to dodge attacks under your own power. Don't rely on mechanics such as OSP (One Shot Protection)
Take any RoR2uber, even good ones like Races or gamerH_0ST with a grain of salt. Woolie especially should be taken with a pile of salt, mainly his tierlists and guides due to them having been shown to be highly opinionated against certain playstyles, even if those playstyles are what would be "optimal", and failing to make the point that it's simply how he plays and should not reflect others . His gameplay is good though
Try to understand each character's playstyle and nuances. Some characters are really easy to pick up and play (such as Huntress and Loader), while others require more dedication (Such as Artificer and Mercenary)
