Haven't use Captain's default utility for quite a while , diablo strike is quite good after e7 cause teleport boss will be busy dishing out attack and will sometimes not move at all.

For example stone titan(if it's at full heath) will keep doing the ground punch move and stop moving , so you can just put down the strike and focus on clean other enemy , and wait for the stone titan to die.

But still , it's tricky on most situation , so I often replace it with stride after stage 3.

which is super slow

with 43k health dealing 1 per hit it took me about 16 seconds to get the first return, in 10x speed lmao

Poison is only better on mithrix and melee acrid is unironically top 2 hardest survivors to fight mithrix with but that's it. Poison isnt even really used for dps tests just cause blight is all that much better. Just to clarify, "melee acrid" means blight and alt m2. Remember that the difference in healing between ranged and melee crid is you now using the regen on your m1, as well as the spammable regen from your bite. Meleecrid doesn't even need proccing items to out dps 90% of the cast, he can thrive off of literally a purity and fc or ap round. His single target is nuts

but the focus should absolutely be on polishing and changing things to be at a reasonable state before Continuing to add something that will inevitably cause more issues or be worthless/overpowered on launch. Not to mention while there always has to be less valuable items, the more bloated the item pool gets the harder builds become. Its already nigh impossible to build anything around getting a specific red or boss item, imagine they add a few more of each? The odds for getting what you want become lower, and too much of a bloated pool means that each item needs to be that much more valuable, since building becomes even harder, and therfore every single item that's considered "good" becomes rarer. In a typical mithrix run you are already not likely to get capped crit or bleed without effort put in, and thats fine. But the same run with say, 7 more whites, 5 more greens, 2 more reds, 2 lunar items and 1 lunar equipment, 2 extra boss items, and 3 more equipment. Assuming the worst and all of these items need to be avoided due to bugs or just being bad/useless, that drastically lowers the ability to build. But on the flipside, some of these items plain break the game and we get something equally powerful to crit and bleed, and just as easy to begin building. It could be good, but it also means theres even more problems with balance because maybe its strong, but its made building the older strats harder and is also a new thing to focus on. If a game with 102 items isn't full enough of them, then idk what to tell you. Mods can help with that, but mods also don't have to take into account the games balance, and often destroy it entirely

To answer both of those... stret was assuming that said things would be creator exclusive, when realistically it would be much harder to actually do that then add a simple easter egg somewhere.

And on the items, theres 102 items and 31 equipment currently in the game. All of these items have to be able to interact with each other in some way, be balanced as to not completely break the game(gameplay wise or actually causing issues), and also have to be actually worth using in some capacity. Continuing to add items isn't necessarily bad

I rarely pick up an item and scrap it because it doesn't service me for a build or tactic, I almost always scrap an item because it's not good or too situational.

Given in the vast amount of cases, there's going to be new content no matter what, I also expect balance changes alongside those new things, but I will always hope for more focus on new content instead of fixes. If the devs create an update with a new character, item(s), map(s), and/or boss(es), I'll be happy, since the game as of right now is great where it is.
Yes, certain items aren't good on certain characters, but that's part of the fun of the randomness of it. You've now gotten a new item that you can turn into something better later down the line.

Also, there's always chances for patches in between major updates for bug fixes, balance changes, and other things that are more gameplay updates than content updates

I heartily agree, however the issue is once you get too much content its very difficult to balance. And consider the anniversary update dropped with so many hugely significant issues, i can't honestly hold much faith in a massive update like the planned dlc NOT being broken on launch. Fun yes, broken though. And considering theres going to be a new final boss option? Frankly i think it would be perfectly fine to add minimal new items or the like to focus instead on polish and making sure what they do add works.

Besides. The devs can also add something in afterwards if the item pool feels lackluster or they have an idea. Terraria devs added flinx coat and staff for summoner prehardmode to help bridge that gap, and i don't see why hopoo couldn't slip an item or two in with content updates and patches

The best way i have found is to play with an experienced(and friendly/helpful) player or two. Sure it'll be a little hard to keep up, but a good player will always help their teammates. However I'd ask people you already know, or keep it one on one. A lot of people in this server don't pay attention to builds or try to help newer players learn

At a huge ng+ lvl yeah, but amywhere from ng+1 or ng+2 you can eek out some extra effective health and survive a few one hit ko's if ya get some better armor or a lead potion going,

Parrying is one of the most op things you can do, if you're in somethings face you can parry a swing, slurp some health for +5 bullets and then ripost like, 60-75% of the rally health back, very handy,

And if you get the rune sets that restore health on riposte, broken,

They're pretty rough tbh, you'll have to wait for the heavy swing to reliably parry,

Yeaaah, big jumpy slam attacks always fucked me over something fierce,.. And i can definitelly recommend getting solid gems or some higher level weapons, hell, the longer the fight the easier it'll be to make a mistake,

i'm just underleveled is all and i'm being stubborn about leveling up

Well the hardest attack to dodge for adds is probably the combo swings or the vomit, spells are primary pace setter, just run in a slight circle or straight, roll past a single spider, swipe 3-4 times and get out, then repeat,

You'll be aiming for 1 spider kill minimum per meteor rain attack,

Its mostly a matter of playing safe and hoping the headbut comes out since thats pretty simple to dodge,

And lowers defense massively for the adds,

You can just roll past and keep running,

Or if you got a good angle you can keep running, you'll rarely wanna push straight past spiders or through them, you can also try getting the spiders to sidestep to intercept then make a J line to pull away and go the other way

i just lose my patience killing all of her adds before i actually begin attacking her

and actually start the fight, ya know?

then i die instantly from a headbutt or a missile

The fight is mainly the adds actually, cause thats the first step really, cause if you focus her down she spawns a whole fresh set on top of whats already still alive,
