from my experience early mithrix is really difficult, he has special scaling meaning he will have a lot more hp than any tele bosses you might have faced before than. it's really rare to have good enough damage at min 25 to actually defeat him in a reasonable time, especially in multiplayer since he just gets an x2 hp boost there
so my recommendation would just be spend more time getting items and only leave the stage when you run out of chests

@edgy siren Jokes aside, but yeah, I recommend to hold the Tonic out until you can guarantee to have it constantly active. The afflictions during Mithrix's Phase 4 can be a hassle, hell, you don't even have a wheelchair to crutch the amount of crippled that you'll get.
The Gesture should be the last cooldown-reduction item that you'll get if you're planning to do a Mithrix run.

I know this is pretty obvious, but just in case, Mithrix will start to do the move a short duration after he launches downward, so I suggest that you should keep your distance from the center at that point as far as possible.

Jumping should be able to negate his hammer's blast most of the times, provided that you have a reliable enough jump height. Or you can just cheese the phase and get on one of the pillars from Phase 2 and snipe him down.

yeah, it's worth noting that you still are pretty fragile in terms of base heallth, so the monster's damage will be certain to be a lot more damaging. In god-runs (or at least early into them), you're not invulnerable, it's just that everything is obliterated to dust once you catch a glimpse of them.
The god-protection comes from the Tougher Times block, shields, barriers and likewise.
Pretty fun to be in a god run, but it'll eventually get a little bit boring since you don't have anything that can challenge you effectively.

phase 1 mithrix is pretty easy, especially if you have good movement speed
phase 2 mithrix is more about playing it safe yet not TOO safe
phase 3 mithrix is the difficult part
if mithrix hits the slam you're gone
chimeras spawn everytime, revolving doors are hell
and phase 4 is pretty easy with cheese and has some challenge if you don't cheese, if you have band, bleed or something like that, those would do insane damage to you when you do a mistake against that phase
the cheese btw is just standing in the ramps or pillars, mithrix can't hit you in there on phase 4
my internet died for a sec so I couldn't send that last message
basically as Merc or Loader you just want to constantly damage mithrix and run away when you feel it's necessary
or just stand on top of mithrix's head and jump when he's about to do the orb attack, since his slam to the ground does damage

Yeah. For the Tesla you can see it being activated if you look at his in game health bar. Purple circle with lightning symbol means you should stay away and no purple circle means dps time.

Eclipse being like that speaks for mithrix as intended endgame
But the "narrative" design of the final level speaks for it being something you are supposed to only do a few times(long corridor with nothing happening, long escape sequence with little happening)

Honestly the strat is to try and run as far away as possible, it might not do enough damage later on to do viable damage but its a good indicator that you're gonna die and gets rid of the lower levels spamming around you
