General consensus is to spend 3-5 minutes on stages 1,2,3 and farm out stage 4 until you at least get a legendary
But tbh with command+sacrifice you can itemwhore stage 1 for half an hour and still be ahead of scaling
(stage 4 has a guranteed legendary through either AWU on siren's call or the guranteed legendary chest in abyssal depths)

if you're in the air the only enemy that can legit contest you at all is stone titan. you should be killing wisps before they're able to hit you
if stone titan wasn't able to reach you at the top of the teleporter bubble from the floor you'd be fine, cuz you can even gently strafe away from most of vagrant and probe's stuff

And if you're on console, the artifacts are Command, Sacrifice, Soul, and Chaos.
Watch out for Soul wisps, although they can double the amount of barrier you get from Brooches

Hey, I have a general question to see if I've just gotten really rusty or if this is a common experience. Me and my friends have been getting back into the game lately on the PC, and the new "final" level on the 5th cycle has become a massive, massive wall. We used to have no trouble looping and would regularly reach a 7 to 9 course run. But this new level has become an absolute wall -- regardless of whether or not we're having a good run before that, we seem to always get bodied almost immediately. We're playing on Monsoon and don't really want to go down to the easier levels but at the same time, I can't seem to ever do enough damage to cull the hoards of Parents/Big Lizards before we're overwhelmed by bosses that spawn in.. or just a bunch parents. Typically we're coming in at the 30 minute mark Do we just need to git gud, or is it recognized that the difficulty for this level is a spike compared to the previous ones?

something that i sometimes do is instead of activate the teleporter, go to the ||secret island and activate an artifact (command/sacrifice)|| to help get more items/the right kind of items you need

we're a group of 3 and we used to get to stage 5 in like 85mins in, gathering absolutely the everything, last night we went like yo let's just spend 3-4mins every stage, and we made it to 8
keep in mind tho, that the more people you are, the harder it is, and the more time you spent, the harder it gets as well

With more people, you should be spending less time per stage than solo. There are some extra chests in multiplayer, but only +50% per extra player. The only items that scale linearly with players are the teleporters, so you should really be rushing those and activate Shrines of Mountains whenever you feel like you can beat it.

i would also recommend going to Siren's Call (if you can) for stage 4 if you can because if you defeat the alloy worship unit (obviously only if you think you can) there, you get one red item per player rather than the 1 red item Legendary Chest on Abyssal Depths

@dull ingot focus on dodging, and charge your nano-bomb when about to enter a fight. flamethrower looks like it has a longer range then it does, but is nearly as powerful as one of Loader's utilities. Plasma bolt is explosive, and Flame bolt procs fire. use Snapfreeze to finish off larger targets that you didn't outright kill.
