found a " ??? " item in my playthrough, what should I do with it? here's some more pictures of it, I can't interact in any way with it. I'm able to see it with radar, then ping it, then I went to swap my item out to get a better picture. Have to wait for the slowmode to go off so I can upload rest of pictures
still sitting here waiting... here's what I got for it. absolutely nothing - it's a ghost item.
having a written way to report bugs other than a screenshot would be great, but I'm not seeing anywhere to submit logs or anything useful or how to do so. mashing / holding e to interact does nothing
right, well, I'm going to go continue playing I guess. don't know. tried being helpful but ignored instead works 🤷
I wonder if that's the source of the random grey damage numbers I notice popping up occasionally
I also died to myself. I went to place a shield as Engi and got instant killed when it activated and I was ragdolled away from it. Might have something to do with an Imp Overlord that was neraby using his teleport ability.
So from what I can guess, it seems that transcendence and any type of over shield might somehow cause you to take damage? It could be the game somehow reversing the overshielding you're receiving and turning it into damage, perhaps caused by the antihealing debuff?
I'm somewhat positive that it has something to do with transcendence and overshield, if not, just overshield.
Certain sound effects are EXTREMELY quiet and dont seem to be affected by the audio settings. Changing master/sfx volume has no effect on it, so I believe this is happening because the game is using the volume for these sfx as the setting as at the start of the game/launch (i had my sfx and master volume very low before i realized the game was too quiet)
Hopefully a dev sees what I'm saying, I think I'm onto something.
to be more specific: so far ive noticed that the drop pod landing sounds, artificer's m1, shift, and r cast, and m2 charge are all very quiet. Restarting the match doesnt fix it.

Dunno if anyone has said this already, but using the primordial cube in the shop nearby newt causes newt to start levitating upwards until the effect of the cube stops, then he stays stuck in midair
If you place your turrets over your mines, they explode
hard to screenshot the bug but will report anyway, using REX's shift skill on pots in the desert level causes them to just disappear
i activated a shrine of sacrifice with full hp and a few seconds later i blew up and killed myself? if this is seriously the sticky bomb then sacrifice shrines are essentially unuseable....
this ruined two super lucky runs for me 😠
If you use your "R" with Mercenary near an Altar of Sacrifice and quickly use the altar, you won't lose any health because the game will read that you are "invincible". (The "R" needs to hit a monster)

I saw someone mention that you can ping yourself whilst hovering as artificer, thought I'd mention that it also works whilst standing still for artificer and engineer
Just encountered a glitch that hovers you in mid air and doesn't you move or use any abilities when you spawn in.
not sure what makes the glitch happen, anyone have anything similar?

I have not seen a single newt altar on stage 1 roost since this update. I've seen it there in later loops (like stage 5) but not stage 1.

I've definitely encountered the Mercenary Blinding Assault bug that causes the ability to have an extra, full cooldown after the first one if you don't land all 3 dashes. I think a couple people mentioned it already but I wanted to pipe in to help make sure the devs are aware of it.
@void locust The Newt shrines are there on stage 1 as well. They haven't relocated them.
@void locust That isn't a ghost item. It is an item that gives you a permanent elite buff as long as you hold it. Red one is the aspect of fire and I believe there was another one. The one you got looks like the aspect of that new-stop-healing-enemy type that I cannot spell. There's nothing wrong with the game or the item and that's intended behavior. You can actually see the effect - on the screenshot where you have the item, you have an extra buff, whereas the ones you dropped it - it's gone.
Speaking of bug reports. It seems like the wake of vultures + lightning elites bug where your health gets slashed is back.

@sand dust No, that's me managed to ping it with radar, run to my n'kuhana retort to swap out my radar to get a picture, then run back and still have it be visible from the ping. Look in the chat. That isn't it. If what you were saying was happening, it would be replaced with the radar on the ground.

For some reason when i start the game for the first time and enter a lobby my game is lagging and i have to wait for 30 seconds for my character to be selected, and when the game actually starts i cannot enter the world and have to restart the game.
Found a bug on mercenary, where if you hit your first shift and then miiss the second, the cooldown will be twice as long (it will cooldown to 0 then go back to 7 seconds, effectively doubling the cooldown if you only dash twice)
Was hosting for a friend and I. He let his computer idle at the character select screen, and then when we started his frames dipped to the 30s. He restarted his PC, and everything was groovy. We took a break at the bazaar, about ten minutes of idling, and then his frames dropped again. Especially when standing next to the blue portal.
i just completed a 21 stage monsoon run where i fought multiple elite bosses, including overloading imp lords, glacial dunestriders, and blazing stone titans; deicide did not unlock. i was client if it makes a difference
Text bug: REX's Seed Barrage claims to take 15% of their current health, but it appears to take 12.5% (1/8th) instead. Apologies if already reported / me misunderstanding.
i also just did 3 stages without any healing items (as seen in this screen) but didn't unlock naturopath. and i knocked a few crabs off on stage 5 but it didn't count towards the total. this was in singleplayer so it's not a client issue. i did a 21 stage run earlier today and did unlock long road and moon worshipper however
Above the tunnel door in Abyssal Depths, there's apparently a spot in the wall you can fall through with enough speed. I fell into the tunnel below and was stuck there, since the tunnel doors were shut.
I managed to force myself though the small opening above the tunnel door
Idk if this is a big but at some point Aurelionite becomes truly invincible. His health goes negative and he is unkillable locking you in the Gilded Coast with him.
In this picture the beacons weren't active but even when they were he was not taking damage.
@limber flint infusion increasing your max health counts as healing
also would assume rex's first and 4th ability would count as healing
the wiki is incorrect in that case, since it says that health increasing items do not count
Note: Infusion and Titanic Knurl only increase max heath. Their effects do not count as healing. It's a good strategy to pick them up in order to survive the challenge. Cautious Slug only increases passive health regeneration, and is not counted as "healing".
guess it's just wrong then. I know I ran into the same issue and it worked after avoiding infusion as well

Not sure if it counts as a bug, but the artificer's new hover and the H3AD-ST V2 slam use the same input (holding jump) which basically just makes her passive useless if you pick up the item

I played with the stats and "no waiting after boss" mod, and i was at that stage, and i just went to hide, to regen my shield back, and i instantly lost, i can still be seen in the background fully visible... idk what caused the "Loss" screen to apear, but it was sad to lose after like 50 minutes with such a nice merci-ninja build... hope this, whatever it was, gets fixed
on the new map i have had 3 runs ruined become the teleporter doesn't spawn

i dont know if someone already mentioned it, but the "long road" achievement doesnt show when you reach the 20th stage or later. you only know you got it from the post-death screen.
My game keeps crashing in Monsoon every time I reach stage 8 :/
I joined an on-going game with my friend, and I was spectating them. They killed themselves, we selected our new characters, and they spawned normally, but I was in spectator mode already even after selecting my character
I don't have a video of it, but apparently the hit boxes for the trees on Scorched Acres are messed up? I just got deleted by a Templar while hiding on the other side of a tree from it, and I realized too late that it could just shoot through it.
On Mercenary: if you miss your second or third shift reset, the cooldown gets reset once it hits 0 so that you have to go through the cooldown twice.
so i got the game yesterday played for 5 hours straight with some friends unlocked a lot of items and characters then i logged on to it today and my profile was gone all my items are blacked out instead of locked and my achievements were all taken away
played one match since it broke to see if it would do something

Super fun bug here. if playing multiplayer and the one of the clients has the glowing meteorite and uses it during the teleporter event while host has the Halycon seed to have aeurlonite summoned it will cause aeurlonite to become a boss for the client and even upon his death the "Defeat the boss" tag will never actually finish
Can't even host a game on multiplayer, I send an invite and it absolutely does nothing. Same problem with a friend
There is a spot in Abyssal depths above the door frame on the drop down/jump pad side of the cave. On the top right of the door frame you can jump over the door and get in even when doors are closed. Also it is easy to clip through the map and go inside the walls at this spot.
Happiest Mask Bug: Enemies Ghost aim at the player instead of enemiess, harmless but annoying

Not sure if this has already been posted but Rex's boop makes fire pots instantly disappear, but more importantly it causes all non-rex players games to stall for a few seconds
Rex as a whole character is actually so bad it has to be a bug.
So I was playing RoR2, and my game decided to crash. I was playing the game for 5 hours, and I had unlocked 3 of the new survivors. The huntress, the sword guy, and then the robot you get from completing the first sequence 5 times. As soon as my game crashed, I opened it again, and I had lost everything.
anyone know how to fix this? or am I just burnt?
You can check out the save file location in game files. When that happens your save usually stays there, it just doesn't appear. Try making a new save and copy paste those files there.

On the new map character fell through map and couldn't get out
not sure if already reported but just in case, i've got a small bug where a bunch of beetles on monsson aqueducts will just do tiny laps around a shrine of chance. they leave the shrine if i come within a few feet, but otherwise return to circling the shrine.
Dying while you're in the eccentric vase teleporter line makes you come out of the other end as a zombie. You have negative health, the game counts you as "dead" but you can still jump. You can't move around, but you can use your abilities as long as they are off cooldown. The cooldowns themselves freeze though, so once you use an ability while you're a zombie, you can never do it again. Your use item cooldown still works though.
I cant see more than 7 different Newt alters. Im on the 7th alter on one of the challenges and cannot find the last, then my friend ran up to one I couldnt see and activated it. The one he activated was on scorched acres so could it just be a bug linked to that map?
@golden prism Hey, I've had that bug in multiplayer as well, but on the previous patch, where one player had a newt alter and another didn't, despite both of us staring right at it (well, one of us at it, the other at where it should be), however, mine was on titanic plains in the middle mountain.
I'm experiencing heavy desync despite having a stable connection to every other game I play. I used to be able to play with people all over the world but now I can't even connect to people in the same region as me without having a minimum 3-10 second desync

Not really a bug, but theres a snag on Rally Point Delta near the beginning of the ramp to the peak that scales along the wall. I got a little stuck but I got out easy
mercs shift can cancel sometimes when it connects,extra true for flying enemies.
If you play multiplayer in Korean, the monsters will stop and the projectile will instantly move and suddenly died.

but when i play mercenary and activate my shift and want to activate it again after hitting an enemy for some reason it suddenly has to cooldown and when its at 4 seconds i can suddenly use it again, i dont know if this is because theres a bug with the mercenary or something but yeah
alright the reason why it suddenly stops the cooldown is probably because of the banodlier which i forgot but still it just randomly starts to cooldown even though i didnt even use it
me and 2 friends each unlocked REX, but he's not showing as an available character

I keep getting some bug, unmodded or modded, where i basically have "infinite" hp, it wont go down, but it will trigger the Loss screen, if i go under the hp limit i have, Topaz Brooch increases the hp but the overheal will deplete, whereby the original hp, no matter how much, wont. This happens randomly, although it happend more often on Merc than any other character i played. Sometimes this makes fights easier/harder, because i cant tell if im low or not, since the hp HUD and UI effects only apply if the bar is at a certain point.
Once in the Scorched Acres map, when I did spawn near a big stone (just were the montain is kinda) I did spawn in the floor, it didn't kill me, you can jump to get out of there but still.

@errant musk at the 8th level, it worked just fine, my hp went down from falldamage, but as soon as there are enemies there, it wont work, no matter what, and if i die, it wont show the death screen too, no death message, nor ragdoll, just the "Loss" screen, and it doesnt say i get killed by anything
and there we go, just lost with 7 tough times, for no reason, and i was in the air, trying to evade sh**
I got problems with artificer and H3AD-5T v2 while sprinting i sometimes jump high somtimes normal. When i want to hover with him sometime he just stomp sometimes he hover. Sorry for grammar it's not my first language
as you can see i just "lost" in the middle of nothing, but im still alive in the background, and this mostly happens whenever i play singleplayer, dont want to play multiplayer because of this
@sweet tinsel That's because his hover is mapped to holding Spacebar while that also activates the item. It's an oversight on hopoo's part which hopefully gets fixed later.
@patent zephyr Get a fresh clean install of the game without any mods. Mods that have become incompatible with the newest RoR2 release are likely the cause of such singular, erratic behavior which has not been reported before.
After some time all of his jumps were high. Close to ground i was able to hover but when i was high in the air it stomp :v

Oh and sometimes when i played mercenery his ctrl (this 3 dashes) just went on cooldown randomly somtimes when pressed and artificer's lightning ball is casted 2 times at once
Yeah, the Merc dash bug will be fixed in a later patch as well.
Battle altars aren't working after reaching stage 30~35, I don't really know, they do spawn but you can't interact

a somewhat bugged spawn, the queen was unable to move and sometimes somewhat hard to target as huntress
Hey I am currently experiencing a stage without a teleport its the 2nd one with the floating red towers
Had some friends report to me a few things:
-Stage 1 Rainstorm, Blazing Titan spawned for the teleporter event
-Overloading horde of Brass Contraptions on stage 1 teleporter

It says in the recent announcement that the devs are working on fixing " Everything turning Pink and Invisible." That may be it. Be sure to uninstall any mods.

when i am trying to use the dash of the mercenary (doesnt matter which one of the 2) it sometimes just doesnt activate but the cooldown ticks down anyway - it really messes up the gameplay
When im using happy mask, kills on overloading Elite's that create a friendly unit arent dieing. They arent decaying hp, they are only dieing from taking to much damage from enemies.

We had 2 mountain shrines and a lot of vagrants spawned, one seems to be on the other side of the wall of the distance there. We can't get there.

????? we managed to do it, the 2 other guys managed to get out of bounds and hit him. The other guys said that they didn't see any other way in. They said that it was clearly out of bounds
i found one bug with new item
i'm dead and i can run and attack, the bug is you die in new item

I don't have any self-damaging items, and there were no enemies in the area. I lost about 5k HP instantaneously. I was standing in a corner, close to a malachite thing that I spawned due to Wake of Vultures, and strafing back and forth rapidly while waiting for the teleporter to charge.

If you take a booster pad/guyser, and then try to use artificer's slow fall or any extra jumps, it locks your air control until you touch the ground so you can only drift in one direction instead of returning control to you after the boost's trajectory is over. Very annoying on the map that Rex is in
I just got a random blackscreen when I had a god run with my boy Rex (really like the character)

If I should take a guess it probably because of missile launcher build with 5 gestures and 10+ fuel cells. Besides that I also had ceremonial knife and nkuhana. I played as Rex so nkuhana procs almost every time. The monsters just got deleted whenever they spawn so I think it is because of the large numbers of homing stuff and no available target as I got this black screen at stage 10.
failing a dash (blinding assault) with the mercenary with the hardlight afterburner will cause all 3 of the charges to go on cooldown
Thats not a glitch that is what happens even with Hardlight. You miss you have to wait to initiate again.
dashes with mercenary are randomly voided, and don't even have you dash the first time, it seems to be when you get hit as it winds up

Hey, not sure if this is the best way to report bugs, but a stone titan after being turned into a ghost from happy mask kept attacking me, but did no damage. This doesn't happen everytime, but I have see it twice and only with the stone guy, not a titan boss but the smaller stone cyclopes
new level floors go invisible amd 590
When I try to check Rex's page in the survivor section, it will always crash my video driver (AMD Radeon HD 5700).
Grovetender also crashes it too.
two newt altars spawning on the bridge to the mnt varraint of the scorched acres
Playing coop on monsoon, stage 1 roost does not have any newt altar spawns. It does when we return to it on a successive loop but never the first stage anymore. I believe this is a problem considering that there are still newt spawns on titanic plans on stage 1. I know all the newt altar spawn locations and we check them every time to no avail.

I can run the game just fine, only issue is in the logbooks
So it seems that whenever anyone pings the top of the ancient gate in Abandoned Aqueduct, the ping appears huge. Both me and the friend I was playing with saw this and when either of us pinged it, it popped up way bigger than normal.
The logbook says that Old Guilotine gives +20% and then +5% per stack but this is not really the truth. In reality the execute values are 0.17, 0.29, 0.38, 0.44, 0.50. I guess that this is written this way for simplicity but it is a little misleading, I only noticed this after printing a load of guilotines in a game and seeing a cap at around 70%. Could you please update this to be a little more accurate to what is happening?

I got the bug again where I am "levitating" right after i spawn into a game and cannot get out of it.
Dunno if I missed a patch after the recent update, but I don't receive any extra legendary chests, just the singular one that is guaranteed to spawn in Abyssal.

Hey if you combine wax quail with headstart and ram into some surfaces you can get crazy height. I was doing 9999 damage to enemies because of how far I was dropping down.
Okay, so 2 things, both Mercenary related.

Sometimes, the Mercenary Shift Dash goes on cooldown again immediately after coming off of cooldown. I don't know what triggers it, but it's happened to me on several occasions, messing up my movement and even ending some runs.

Another interaction with his Shift, now that it gives immunity to damage, activating the dash right next to a Shrine of Blood and activating the shrine itself will NOT deal damage to the Mercenary. Likely, damage cannot be dealt through the immunity as it would with the spawn protection buff you receive at the start of each stage, but this can be heavily exploited for a LOT of free gold really really quickly.
Sadly, I can't provide any video to fully confirm this as I don't have any software to record footage, but I have tested the 2nd interaction with the Mercenary's Shift at the Shrine and have never taken an instance of damage while casting it.

The damage is understandable, I mean using wax quail to get above the entire map. At least it's a useful glitch if anything.
merc/commando can use their boosts/m2 in merc's case on slopes as a tech to get to new heights
Dying while heading into the eccentric vases quantum network results in a glitched character that, while technically dead, can look around and not recharge abilities and such. Enemies crowd around the character and attempt to attack it but can't harm them.
Using the Artificers Charged Nano-Bomb(m2) on the back of the Grovetender( the vessel in his back) causes the bomb to stop and hang in place.
When a clay dunestrider is Registered as an ally through the happiest mask, it's wide AoE suck to heal still damages you.
Well yeah, it damages all entities.
So since the new patch came out my game crashes about 7-8 min into a run, suggestions anyone?
the multiplayer lobbies are broken somehow. no matter who is the host, when an invite is accepted to a private lobby one of us will not be able to load the character selection screen, will be booted to the main menu, or will not be able to see the friend list on the top right of the screen
this problem persists if the other players join through steam as well, including the "copy room ID" function

bug still present where character model wont load in and can't play with friend. any fixes? I have tried restarting verifying files uninstalling reinstalling, letting it through windows firewall. nothing seems to work and I don't know why I seem to be only one with this issue.

hhad a super weird bug on my fiancees recent run, about 39 minutes in, she hits the TP, and a bandolier pops out of the TP, and she still got a reward afterwards
game crashed during my firends game. they had no problem rejoining but i just get sent to a black screen then right back to the main menu every single time

@heady hamlet nope zero mods never installed any never used any. Thats what I'm having trouble with. the game literally came like this for me. from the start of early access till now. I haven't had the chance to use mods cause the game doesnt work
On a spinel tonic run where I had 60 affliction tonics, the final time spinel tonic ran out the game stuttered and then my character just started floating up slowly, became unresponsive to input, and then a stone Titan laser took me out while I watched helplessly
1.) Blackscreen bug
2.) REX's (sometimes other classes) pass through small beetles or other enemies
some of my worm friends started going up and down vertically in this slightly inward chasm
Rex's left shift ability deletes explosive barrels from existence
dont know if this is a glitch of some sort but i had a regular beetle as an ally, and no they werent all ghost either. they were in full health and perfectly fine. stage 33... regular beetle ally. mvp

Not sure if this is a bug or by design makes sense both ways. The new barrier health bars decay way way faster the more health you have. on characters like mul-t its basically a none functioning item because the barrier depletes so fast. where as someone like huntress it decays so slow that is basically a second health bar. not sure if its this way for balance or just an odd bug

While fighting a Glacial Clay Templar gate boss in stage 3 of Monsoon on the floaty islands map, a Rex pushed the boss off the edge of the map. The boss took a bunch of damage, but never teleported back. We couldn't find it anywhere on the map.
The health was no changing at all either, not healing nor decreasing.
I had very good run... But activated teleporter jn 12th locftion and saw black screen. Just 1 question... WHY? WHY ME? WHY?!

It seems that many people are mysteriously dying to themselves in long, late-game runs (I'm NOT talking about Unstable Fuel Cell deaths). In some cases, I believe the problem is that Happiest Mask ghosts will occasionally explode and apply Gasoline burn on all nearby allies, the player included. Several of my self-inflicted deaths in the late-game involved me taking a lot of fire DoT, but not the same fire DoT applied by Fire Elites (there is no 'burning stack' icon on the HUD when I died). There have also been instances where all of my ghosts (and drones) all explode at the same time, without any nearby enemies. This might be due to one ghost's Gasoline proc causing other ghosts to die and explode, which in turn kill my drones.
Here was another death I had before the Scorched Acres update. Note that the last 'new' item I picked up that I didn't already have was Happiest Mask, and that I also had Gasoline
Here's the output log in case it helps. Looking back through the screenshots in this channel, every single case of spontaneous late-game suicide has or recently picked up Happiest Mask (and naturally by that point they all have some stacks of Gasoline, too). I encourage people to look through their screenshots to see whether they have at least one Mask in their unexplained deaths

hmm what do you mean without healing reach and complete event 3. I avoided everything that could have healed me except a shield, shield is not health does it count for this ?

It seems that some people are losing their runs randomly to damage, we've noticed every run has had Wake of Vultures in there and think it might be the Blazing affix causing you to take damage from your own trail sometimes.

Loaded into the level (2-3) and couldn't move or use skills. I could use my use item but no other controls worked.
So since in the patch notes you mentioned that nobody has really tried punting enemies off cliffs with Rex? Well I decided to do that, but it has actually broken my game. I spent almost 15 minutes having fun in the first level punting bugs off cliffs, until all enemies stopped spawning. No new enemies are spawning, not even when I activated the teleporter, in which it spawned the boss but no new enemies. I've attached an image for proof. Maybe the director doesn't detect them as being killed, so it thinks it's reached the max enemy count? Idk.

The only movement Items I have are 3 energy drinks, Head stompers, 2 quails, and a hopoo feather
A friend informed me there are more that are worse than this that you can get up that high without any items. I'll post as I find more I guess.
i was using the eccentric vase as i died and i was able to move around and shoot but the cooldown was permanent
well moving aorund was only jumping tho

I HAVE A FIX TO THE INSANELY FAST MOUSE GLITCH:
Disconnect your controller from your pc, it worked for me. I was using a ps4 controller and got the super fast mouse that i couldnt click anything with. Once i disconnected it my mouse worked fine in game again.

ok not sure how to capture or recreate this bug but for some reason mercenary's shift will go on cool down after it goes off cooldown without actually using the dash. Honestly not sure if this is my keyboards fault because sometimes the shift key can sometimes get stuck but i would think it would atleast use the ability if that were the case. I will attempt to get a screen cap of it.

Maybe its been reported but if you have a Happiest Mask and you get strong enough to kill enemies as they spawn i've noticed that they will target me and teammates, and i think it may damage my teammates, my friend and I couldn't quite tell but we think that is was the case.

you CAN damage him. hes just got so much health it cant be shown i was able to wittle down his health
not much of a bug, but when you have N'kuhana's Retort and are high level you almost always get kicked out of the shop accidentally

I ran into this bug with Malachite Jellyfish when they suddenly disappeared and prevented me from progressing.
judging by your location and the markers they might've spawned in the tunnel underneath if you haven't checked there; it's possible for enemies to spawn there even if the door is closed
@austere thorn It is possible for bosses to fall down a cliff and die instantly. I've seen that happen multiple times on scorched acres.

@kind aspen Pretty much every ghost enemy targets the player right after being formed, they shouldn't do damage, though. Stone Titans often laser the player in ghost form, but don't deal damage
Dunno if bug or not but it just occured for the second time that we my friend got disconnected from the game and my screen went black. The run didnt continue and i could quit to menu. I had no connection problems or anything. I hope this can be fixed
I had a run as huntress where i had every nonlunar item (save for the new boss relic still havent seen that yet) and i had all my ghosts were attacking me they couldn't kill me but they definitely hurt and made the run a lot harder than it shouldve been
Also i dont know if 57 leaf clover (had 3 of them) affects log drop chance but that run was on drizzle and i didnt get a single log book drop
Is it a bug that a happiest mask dunestrider can kill you? Lost a good run because of it I killed the boss teleporter already charged i sat still for a sec and no enemies. I just got sucked up and died

I'm seeing performance issues whenever I play Rex and use his R and the bulb attaches to multiple enemies at once
also activating a sacrifice shrine after using the teleporter to move to the next level lets you keep the money gained

im not 100% sure if this is a bug, but notice how the item's outline is displaced. this happens for every item, not just the ones in 3d printers. not sure what's causing this but my guess is itd have something to do with a certain item being stacked a lot, since i only started noticing it late in the run
also i just killed the merchant by planting tangling growth and then spamming left and right click (right click had 9 charges). i only saw the healthbar go down to about half, then it disappeared. ive not been kicked out of the shop and i can now walk through the merchant
bullets also go through them now, so their hurtbox really seems gone
it's from spinel tonic, it pinches the centre of the screen but for some reason item outlines are still rendered as they would be without the pinch (maybe they're literally rendered before the pinch?), so they're misplaced
Got around to stage 7 and 4 Clay Dunestriders spawned when we activated the teleporter; and some sound effects had completely cut out or muffled as if we had died. Our characters didn't have any sound effects except for secondary attacks and monsters had hardly any sound coming from them.

Okay so this is the same bug that @shy crescent reported yesterday but with a video and a little bit more information. If you use the Mercenary's dash ability twice, hitting an enemy the first time and missing the second time, the icon for the ability will stay red for a few seconds after it goes on cooldown. If you press shift while the ability icon is red and the ability is on cooldown, at the end of the seven seconds it will just go on cooldown again. Edit: I did a little bit more testing and it happens if you miss the third dash as well, and also it happens without pressing shift during that period. I don't have fully consistent results but that's currently what I think the conditions are to recreate it.

Separate Bug Report aside from the link above.... Audio starts to cut out when attack speed is really high. This didn't happen before the patch.
@here the electric magma worm was patched to remove the screen darkening effect, but the artificer's electric attack still blacks out the screen when it is used. bug?
i foudn its not really a bug, just aurelionite scales absurdly ...but maybe thats the bug

I've been playing Mercenary and sometimes my shift just doesn't work and still goes on cooldown, it happened very often (more than 10 times) and it cost me a run because I got stuck in front of a blazing stone titan. Mercenary is tied for my favorite character with artificer and I hope this gets fixed fast because he is almost unplayable. Thank You
I am very angry that ghosts can do damage to you. I had a very very long game, and as soon as i picked up happiest mask it was over. Lost everything.
I used Eccentric Vase to climb the chain in Gilded Coast. When I got teleported back down (I assume I went out of bounds), all the chests, opened or unopened, disappeared.

There's a controls bug in which if you bind a movement option to the mouse button, it clears the opposite direction from the keyboard.

Attempted to open and game immediately crashed. My monitor lost connection for a second. I had enough coins, if I remember correctly. I looked at the output log and it doesn't say that I recieved any item after I opened it.
has already been somewhat posted, but I noticed with happiest masks particularly with elite enemies of the blazing and malachite variants that their ghosts can not only target the player but also deal damage to do the player.
The mercenary's shift and R can bypass the damage the shrine of blood does to you.

Was testing out the new hotfix. Monsoon, stage 1, had a single guillotine. Wandering Vagrant boss died at 20% hp instantly. It was not an elite, just a regular WV.
I spawned slightly underground as rex and when I moved, fell underneath the platform I am stuck permanently.
mercs R ability sometimes doesnt shift you forward when you use it with no enemies nearby might be a bug
Legendary chests post-loop are a rarity? I was in a 4 hours run and never see one outside of Abyssal Depths.
Also, with Mercenary. When I use shift and a Lesser Wisp hits me at the same time, my shift enters on cooldown without dashing.

MUL-T : Having Silence Between Two Strikes and switching to either an empty or filled second active slot instantly regenerates half of your health that would other wise be counted as armor, effectively being an instant heal.
So I was like 15 minutes into the game playing huntress in scorched acres, I shot a wisp and the game just closed. No not responding, just froze and shut down. No crash dump either

Being struck by the glowing meteorite while moving at high speeds can get you stuck in the terrain

getting killed while teleporting through an essentric vase portal gets you stuck in like a state of limbo where you're below 0 hp but the game doesnt properly register you as "dead." You can still look around and jump and use equipment.
Head stompers are beyond broken on artificer now. Can no longer float, completely negates her buff and leads to death 90% of the time.
Got Malachite Lesser Wisp for a boss. One of them was so far up into the sky that I couldn't shoot them and I couldn't proceed.

Using the Eccentric Vase tunnel and dying at the same time makes you turn into an invincible ghost that can only move by jumping, and cannot use abilities. Enemies still attempt to attack you, but they are unable to kill you. This basically turns you into an invincible enemy magnet.
As commando I go stuck in the floor of one of the new maps as I spawned, I'd take a screen shot but its just black screen

Friend killed himself and I somehow, doing at least 5k damage instantly, no visual or audio indications whatsoever in terms of attacks from enemies... after reading other bug reports, this may be due to his happiest mask he had? We were on Wetland Aspect so no barrels there to kill us.

this is surely a bug: if you have barrier and you use a blood altar it will not take shield/health away from you but still give you money
I was doing a Rainstorm run, and I was on the third stage, Scorched Acres. I was on the lower part of one of the large circle platforms, and the Grovetender (as a teleporter boss) spawned on the higher part. He then jumped off the edge, dying instantly. Teleporter worked as normal, still got my item. The red arrow (boss indicator) pointed permanently at the bottom of the map.
Dropping at 30 FPS and below while playing Merc makes his ground version of M2 execute 2 spins instantly, resulting in much faster damage output. This wasnt happening before as I was playing with half Vsync,only after the hotfix.

I somehow spawn stucked as Engineer. The character animation represent me falling down. I cannot use any abilities or move. Tho i had Gesture of the drowned and my equipment / items can still active. I can still get hit by the monsters. Hope this will be fixed.
Playing on Abyssal Depths, friend's primordial cube item disappeared from his inventory leaving him with an empty active slot. We noticed it being missing after he tried to pick up a second fuel cell. Not sure if caused by that.
engineer's hand will bug out when you land from jumping
If you are on the middle of the air and your speed changes drastically while bumping into a wall, all or most of your speed converts into vertical speed, catapulting you out the planet. Luckily the game puts you back in the map
The game now seems to have issues with audio and sfx cutting out/overlapping when there are high amounts of bosses and enemies present at the same time. This usually happens and becomes more apparent late game.
on celestial plane sometimes will fall way too long like a couple minutes

it also seems to be related to malachite urchins because for some reason i was doing damage over time to them
in fact, malachite urchins dont seem to count toward the monster limit for happiest mask. they might be our culprit after all. can someone try and confirm?

I'm running into an issue where I freeze for half a second when picking up items. I've looked it up, and people say that you need to move Steam to an SSD, along with the game itself. If this issue is known, is there a plan to fix it, rather than using the workaround?

Not sure if this counts as a bug, but is anyone else finding it extremely difficult to progress past the third stage (Rallypoint Delta) at difficulties above drizzle, compared to previous patches? Every time I play now I get immediately discouraged from playing as soon as I activate the teleporter on that stage, as I get overwhelmingly flooded by enemies and sometimes even just die to nothing (white squares, random explosions or sudden spikes of damage from seemingly nothing)

Ok, me and my brother were playing RO2 in a private lobby, and I was the host. We were in stage 5 and were charging up the teleporter. The boss was the black/green heal-blocking (?) lemurians. My brother was dead but I was still going strong.
My screen suddenly went black. The in-game cursor was visible, and my brother's client said that it had lost connection to host (I think?). On my end, I was able to hit escape to go to the pause menu. From the pause menu, it appeared that I was in the private lobby screen, but unpausing took me back to the black screen with just the cursor.
From the pause menu, doing "Quit to Menu" took me back to the main menu, getting me out of the black screen.
This cannot have been caused by a disconnect; me and my brother are playing on the same router and are connected to it via ethernet cables
Is REX losing money every time he uses an attack that costs HP with Brittle Crown intentional? If it is, it really, really shouldn't be.
I currently have 3 shaped glass and 27 topaz broochn when i get kills, my hp only goes up to a max of double my already low hp, meanwhile my friend who has no shaped glasses gets like 4x his hp and he has 4 brooches, is this by design?

I believe if you stack enough attack speed as Merc, using Whirlwind in the air won't show the vfx, but will do the animation.

In a random Multiplayer session, I chose MUL-T and in the first level I got the Disposable Missile launcher. I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but as I was switching between MUL-T's slots the Missile Launcher bugged out and had no cooldowns for the rest of the match.

but when i use fuel cell, nothing happens, i tried to unnistall and reinstall the game, but nothing changes
so If mul-t gets silence between two strikes he can reset his HP at any time by swapping between his two equip slots, First swap restores all missing shield health, second swap back restores any extra missing hp
@edgy cape Well, that's a new one. Probably a thermal problem with your PC. Watch your core temperatures carefully.
@rotund island The option you set in the Graphics menu for VFX Culling Bias still isn't saved. I have to re-set it each time to my preferred Medium. :/

Has it already been reported that sometimes you get the boss reward before the boss dies? I have a couple videos if needed.
The in-game mouse cursor always follow your mouse even if you use it outside of the game's window. Can be fixed by simply unplugging the other display. This seems to be a new bug since the same did not occur in past updates. I have already tried revalidating the games files but to no avail. Thank you in advance.
I activated a lunar coin dude after a teleporter encounter but before teleporting (it said A Blue Orb appears) I could not find a blue orb. I teleported to the next level and could not find the telporter anywhere.
I did find some hidden stuff, and I mean I have been looking everywhere... even at places outside what one would consider the "game" area.

@errant musk been playing the game since day 1 and it used to crash at the options screen. Did a bunch of report collection and then it seemed to go away after the first patch. It's only been doing this since the update. Temps seems fine. Going to do some single player testing since this was happening during online
@hybrid widget You must activate the Newt shrine before triggering the teleporter boss fight. Otherwise the Newt portal won't spawn.

So my friend and I were in a nice, long run and during the lava stage while charging the teleporter, my friend (Engineer) somehow managed to kill both of us. He did not use the meteor lunar item, therefore I am perplexed.
Also says that he killed himself, which I find even more interesting.

I forgot to take a screenshot, but my friend and I spawned in the ground in abyssal deepths. I fell onto a piece of ground that was out of bounds, so i was able to see how bright the sky really was

It's been observed that Happy Mask and/or Wake of Vultures can backfire. I do hope it gets sorted out.
Overloading bosses are still bugged. They abruptly one-shoot you often upon spawning or coming near you.

Distant roost, area 1 the portal didn't spawn
when newt closes up his shop after you try to kill him, glass sticks out of the top of the frame around his building (upleft, standable ground)
you also get teleported away if walking around on that standable area, as if inside of the shop
Is this a bug? I made two mistakes (clearly that all they were), but I mistakenly thought I could buy the Newt altar so Teammate could unlock a character. I also was able to buy it (despite having all released Survivors) and wasted 10 coins. My mistake, just wondering if all is as it should be. I hope to not be able to buy something I already have though in the future.

armor piercing effects can still get blocked by the teddy. according to the notes for the latest patch (build 3961583) this should not occur.
Spamming E on quantum tunnel while dying allows you to activate a zombie like mode, you can use your cooldowns and L1 once. you can still move around while jumping and enemies will still target you. with gesture your equipable will still be used effectively making you immortal.
this also turns off teleporting areas like falling off the map and such
*you are unable to interact on anything with E and once another player dies the result screen will show up, can only me done in multiplayer. Thats everything
I pinged the secret gate in a multiplayer game after we opened it, and the 'wants to move here' icon was gigantic. I'm not sure if I pinged directly on the gate or not (or if my teammates saw the same thing), but it was much larger than it should have been

hmm did a nice 6:30h run, and money started going negative after 2.000.000.000 going to 0 and rising again ohh and you can still buy things with negative money. another thing. hidden realm: a moment fractured is a complete area? found 3 islands in the midle of the dark however the furthest two do not seem to lead anywhere. I could fly forever with 14 fuel cells and the wings reaching the end of space and teleporting back to the first island. I want your secrets!

When I start the game, my cursor does not sync up with the game. It causes strange acceleration problems, and the cursor will move to other windows and interact with things like discord. Essentially, both my desktop cursor and the in-game menu cursor are active at the same time. Full screen with 2 monitors. This problem did not occur earlier today or at all before this. Now the issue is persisting even after restarting.

hello @fiery garnet - @rotund island - @hollow yarrow - friend of mine and me got this game this weekend and we played 15 hours straight.(and we have sooo much fun ;D) Now we think that we discovered a bug and want to ask if that is a bug or intended in some way. We activated the Newt altar, defeated the boss and my friend freed the artificer with 10 lunar coins. He got the archivement and therefore the new survivor, me not. Okay, we thought that we need to do that in a second run to get the artifcer for me too but i cant see him but my friend can. He is still able to pay the 10 coins for the artificer as well and gets nothing. Does this have anything to do with the fact that he was the host all the time and that we have change the host to archive that for me to or what is going on there? - thanks for any help, Cheers!
a glitch just happened to me where, when i was trying to fire, interact and click it wasn't doing anything, even using my abilities weren't dealing damage

yo guys my friends having this problem where its extremely laggy on menu and ingame where it ran a couple days earlier. He does have a high end pc so its nothing to do with that.

Sudden difficulty increase for consecutive runs without remaking the lobby.
Description
Unless another explanation has been found I believe the sudden unintended difficulty increase mentioned in the latest Development Thoughts has something to do with the AI director's values not getting cleared in between runs.
I've probably done twenty or so runs since the update and with every consecutive run done without remaking the lobby the game keeps becoming increasingly more ridiculous. It's bad enough once you've lost one run. Three mountain shrines on stage one, twice the amount of enemies, abundant elites and elite bosses before hitting twenty minutes.
Was playing a match as huntress and suddenly the game kicked both me and my friend back to lobby w/o an error message or anything on my end, and on my friend's end he said it was some "server closing down" error, even though neither of us touched the menu buttons.
fuel array + happiest mask can spawn a ghost of the one that died which also had happiest mask

I've had multiple game crashes in the middle of the game, unfortunately it's usually when things are starting to get really good 😦 I did not find a crash file but here is my output log
I did try a reinstall and it just crashed (although it didn't pop up a unity box like before, it's the same deal where it freezes and then closes)
malachite jellyfish got behind this wall. I was able to (after four tries) get up onto the ledge above this wall and take care of it, but this shouldn't happen. took both a lot of move speed and a hopoo feather

Bug Report - While playing Artificer as a non-host in multiplayer, the fireballs have a very frequent tendency to vanish when attacking smaller enemies, or on occasion, any enemy (clay dunestrider was my experience). This is most noticeable when firing at wisps, as the fireballs will simply disappear on contact without doing any damage or causing any effects. I later noticed that if the fireballs are fired at an angle where there is a wall behind them, the fireball vanishes, then an explosion appears on the wall behind the enemy later as if the fireball continued on in spirit. This also happened with the clay dunestrider, where the fireballs were supposed to hit them (dead center) but instead vanished and hit the ground below them (I was up high firing down).
I'm not sure if it's being looked into already, but Mul-T's extra damage against larger enemies on his shift (his mobility move) doesn't seem to work when you're not the host of a session.

there's a part of the tiny cave with the guaranteed legendary chest where your camera can clip through the wall
i didnt made a screenshot of it but i fell through the floor of Abyssal Depths as rex right after spawning as a imp overlord was about to teleport right on top off me. luckily landed on the ground again and was able to keep playing.
Minor bug with Spinel Tonic: I used MUL-T's nail gun and if the nail gun was held down while spinel tonic increased its damage, the extra damage did not scale back down until the button was let go, regardless of how long.
Happiest Mask isn't applying the ghost effect to these beetles. They have their regular appearance and do not gradually lose HP.
@untold citrus I have noticed this with a few characters on use item effects, specifically with Mul-T and huntress with the ocular HUD. The crit chance change won't take effect until you stop firing and resume after using the item
Didn't think of taking a screenshot when I saw it, but I saw one of the vendor-tube-things with three ? displayed. This probably shouldn't happen, as it becomes functionally identical to a chest. Up until the last patch I had only ever seen two ? displayed at once (which is basically "do you want X or not?" and if you don't want X you get something at random). I think I've also seen one that had [monster tooth, monster tooth, ?] which makes me think that those things shouldn't ever spawn with duplicates (? being duplicate of something shown is fine IMO, I mean two identical items that are visible).
There have been ??? terminals before the update, but it's not functionally identical to a chest because items from a terminal can never be rarer than expected

as for "never be rarer" I suppose that's true, but I'd still rather have a choice. A ??? terminal ends up being worse than a chest, in that case, which...is less than desirable IMO

@gritty geyser Getting this bug with imp overlords, they keep teleporting somewhere and don't go back. Usually they teleport to repaired gunner turrets, destroy them and stay there because player is too far away to detect and teleport to.
To find the boss, see red arrows at window sides, if the boss in not in the direction where you are looking
I once had a magma worm literally run around the whole map. It would spend 2 seconds near me, then wiggle its way (underground) over to one of the caves where ones of my turrets was, barely peek through a wall, turn around, and do the same thing on the other side of the map where my other turret was.
and by "barely peek through a wall" I mean it would do that near-surface tight curl attack that's meant to be easy to attack in melee. But it would do that inside a cliff ten feet away from the turret so only a tiny fraction of its body was visible.
Seems like i can't join my friend right now, every time i click join, it just shows a black screen, and does nothing

maybe you have some sort of game optimizer running that keeps overriding the settings

My pc has been completely crashing only while i am playing ROR2. Both of my monitors go black and i have to force shut down my whole pc to get it back on. It is not temp since my logs say my pc components are at a good temp. it just started happening recently. i figured i should let you know.

Not sure if it's a bug or not, upon entering the golden portal for the first time I got an achievement (cosmic something) but once the run ended it isn't in the logbook. is this a hidden achievement or a bugged out one that isn't showing?

Hi, wondering if this is a bug or not; When playing Commando in some games, the whole game has me with an auto roll which can't be stopped. So as soon as the cooldown stops, I will automatically do a roll in whatever direction I was moving at the time. Is this a difficulty feature or a bug? Thank you!

I just installed the game and upon loading up single player, an overlay that I'm assuming is the info screen stays up from the start, locking the camera into a fixed location?
I've tried hitting tab, the button for the info screen, along with remapping it and hitting just random buttons but haven't found any way to remove it yet?

I think this is a bug, but it should be a feature. Strap in kids. So, playing the huntress, get to the snow level at about 14 minutes. I hear this rythmic thumping.. I've spawned on the side behind the shipping crates so I can't see much. Upon going out into a more open space I see about 8 stone golems jumping in place and not moving or reacting until I get really close or hit them. For the rest of the level only stone golems spawned. Then the boss, was the titan. Honestly, it was kinda spooky and if that is a bug, you should keep it 😃 Update: I played a 2nd game before restarting the program and the jumping happened again, but other enemy types spawned. The jumping was only happening with enemies that were there initially when the level started.
the mask of happiness or whatever, the thing that spawns ghosts is EXTREMELY bugged.

Clay dunestrider boss thing's ghost continues to CC (pull you towards it with tendrils) and damage you and your team. (it literally killed my friend so fast we were both left scratching our heads)

The AI of the ghosts are so bad I didnt notice I had them at first. Some would just continue to attack me (unsure if they did dmg or if they were just adding to the visual noise). Most would leave combat or act like they are aggro'd to another part of the map and they just march away from me while much closer newer enemies hit me from behind. Why spawn pets/allies if all they do is attract your lock on abilities, stand in front of you or run away, and refuse to ACTUALLY help you, ALL while dmging and CC'ing you? Seems like a really poor item. ESPECIALLY for a legendary. This must be a bug and I am happy to help recreate/troubleshoot.

Wanted to report a bug my friend and i are experiencing with the matchmaking, When entering quickplay with 2 people 95% of the time the matchmaking only puts you with 1 other person. I would expect the matchmaker to fill the lobby regardless of how many players que, when entering quickplay with 3 people it wont match us a 4th but if one of us leaves the lobby at that time the game then matches in 2 other people. this can be problematic when wanting to go for high level runs but not being able to easily find a full lobby

I generally have to play the game in windowed mode but it never remembers the settings so every time I start the game I have to change my resolution settings.
Topaz brooch doesn't work for engie turrets
once Clay Dunestrider starts throwing the projectiles at you (not the rolling ones but the fast aerial ones) he wont stop even if he goes in to low life mode and starts doing the drain, the projectiles keep coming even tho he stopped doing the animation. Ruined my monsoon run few times now.
@polar wraith It does work. Turret keeps items you had when you placed it, you need to place the turret again for new items to take an effect

Hey guys im trying to playthis game with a friend but whenever he joins it wont let him pic a char and if i join him i cant pick but it works with other friends.
stumbled upon this bug. i think it has to do with an interaction between eccentric vase, old war stealth kit, and a frost elite, but i can still jump and use my equipment (albeit useless) but game proclaims me dead...not sure how this works

When going through an eccentric vase portal as MUL-T with Rebar Puncher out part of it is visible in the air

My active item was the backup. I have no idea what happened that caused me to kill first my friend and then myself.
I was flying around rapidly with mercenary Shift and R and suddenly died when there was an enemy that spawned in front of me.
This happened before it could attack.
The golem focus player after be respawn with the mask of happiness but he don't deal damage.
I was playing Artificer. For the laser continue to follow me (before golem fire) and he fire on me.
I don't have screenshot sorry and maybe the bug was already reported and maybe the bug produce on all heroes.
So, every time play the game I will get 2-6 minutes before the game will freeze and crash followed by a box appearing with the game logo and a small exclamation mark ( along with the title of said box's being "Risk of rain 2- Unity 2018.3.14f1_d0e9f15437b1").

Restarting my computer
uninstalling ad re-installing the game
switching between the keyboard and controller
verifying the game cache
updating my drivers
making sure my GPU isn't overclocked
replacing the .xml file (in the user's file of the game) with the recommended text from the steam help page

Got a bug where on the Titanic Planes as the huntress where as we spawned in from Abyssal Depth got stuck in a frozen state mid jump animation with rock particles floating around the character. Not sure if it was a multiplayer bug but was playing with friends.
boss item seems to have not appeared/clipped into surroundings. Looking at other posts, it is possible it spawned above the overhang on the left side of the screenshot, but did not think to check there

I've been having the blackscreen bug intermittently too. Apparently i's a full-on game crash because whenever it happens with friends it kicks them out when i'm hosting
Anyone know what causes this issue? It seems to always happen about 250+ minutes into my run and I just start taking random damage out of nowhere.
Happiest Mask is currently broken and can cause you to take damage from friendlies (aside from claydune succ)

If you have brittle crowns (in my case 2 or more) and are using crowdfunder at very low gold sometimes the gold counter will go negative and leave you with a massive amount of money. I was playing merc at the time, unsure for other characters. I also had a second charge from a fuel cell, but not 100% if that would interact.

@viral turtle Is the progress bar filled under the challenge table? If so, this is a bug, otherwise, some kills might not be counting towards the challenge. I had the impression that turret kills did not count for engineer (if you play too much with engineer, this might be the cause

I have a lot of gesture and fuel cells, when I picked up Backup it spawned about 12 drones than stopped spawning them, then when the drones died after a bit the new ones that spawned in would explode on spawn and proc every single possible item i have

This soft locks level progression as the drones dying gives you gold which the teleporter will try to convert to XP but will never be able to convert all of it trapping you in the level. swapping you use item for another one causes you to instantly die (killed by yourself according to the death screen)
The only way to progress is to have a Dio

Ok so on Wetland Aspect if you explore for a bit you get to this out of map area then if you got to the wrong spot you are trapped in a small space with no way of getting out
When Artificer uses her hover during a jump pad boost, she can't air control, and even if you deactivate it and reactivate it there's no way to control yourself in the air, usually resulting in floating out of bounds
Random bug when hosting a lobby where it disconnects clients and blackscreen's the lobby usually happens after 1 run. Clients are on the same network if that helps.
Happiest Mask seems to be bugged when copying Malachite enemies and possibly in conjunction with Will-o-wisp. Will result in taking unavoidable very high ticks of damage.

money goes negative after around 2.08billion, it doesn't prevent you from buying things but everything works backwards, gaining money will decrease your money count and opening chests will increase it, once you reach zero it starts working normally again and this seems to be able to repeat indefinitely
That's just the storage for your money underflowing because you exceeded the maximum number for the data type.

If you're getting 2.08 billion it's not unbelievable especially with splash effects to jump by a few hundred million.
if your internet upload speed cant keep up wheen your hosting it desyncs players insanely with no way for them to ever catch up basically i can go untill round 10 and then it sends more data than my internet can handle at 2mbps

It seems to happen after I play a single player match. It fixed itself after my computer crashed... but I don't know what to do to get it working again. Any advice??
That's odd. That message usually indicates that the game is waiting for steam to create a lobby for you

Not sure if it's been reported, but the bronze contraptions sometimes get a bug where they are spinning around CW/CCW. If you are looking at them normally from the front, they will sometimes rotate like a clock's hands, only REALLY fast. It may be due to the thing getting stuck, cause that's the only way i've seen them like this.

I suppose this has been reported before, but since the latest major update, some enemies just go into a stand-by mode. They do nothing until you get closer to them, mostly, or end up just doing nothing at all, like so.

not sure what the exact interaction is but sometimes resurrecting malachite urchins with the happiest mask causes you to take damage over time for several seconds, here the damage was pretty low but i've had it happen other times where the damage was close to 6000 per tick and obviously it killed me pretty quickly, no idea what the yellow or white numbers popping on top of the urchin are either
edit: turns out i only take damage when the urchins have those yellow numbers popping on them so it's linked to that somehow

Was the Backup intentionally nerfed? It no longer spawns any strike drones after having around 10 other drones active, and spamming with fuel cells doesn't work anymore, it'll activate only once if at all.
@unborn crag they put a cap on allies, so it was indirectly nerfed
I'm guessing that was due to insane performance issues with a million drones? That's understandable.

i found a bug regarding the statues that take your life for coins. what it is when a player is regenerating health and they go up to a statue and just mash the key to use it. but when they hit the required amount of HP while they just mash it give the player the coins without taking the HP away. i know its not a major bug but it seems easy to exploit and just thought i would bring it to your attention. thanks and have a wonderful day. I'm pretty sure this isnt supposed to be a feature, but on the wetlands aspect if you go far enough towards the fog and forest off map, ||where the entrance to the altar of N'kuhana is|| theres no level boundary there. You can go out infinitely until you're left falling forever.

one "bug" today i switch to triple monitors.. and i have one bug.. footing dmg/healing numbers scaling's them are to big when i use ony central screen its ok... after adding two on side font size is to big, im guessing now the size of it depended on max pixels width (resolution width) me suggestion to change it to display height so the math is more frendly to ultrawide monitors or multi monitor set up's,
second only suggestion, o contain UI elements to 16:9 from contain of screen or give option in settings, but its quality of life thing only
only one set up can suffer 16:10 but i think there will not be so big different in size from 16:9 (from me suggestion)
I seem to experience a big where Malachite bosses when they're at low health (6000ish) just despawn from existence and I cant progress. I've had this happen 7 or 8 times, and I notice it only happens when they've recieved a large sum of damage to kill them. Like the royal capacitor for example.

Hi uh I think somehow a combination of the slam boots, Wax Quale and maybe Energy drink, while going uphill and spring jumping, causes you to shoot up into the air beyond what you should. As in to the point where you respawn from going to far up

Just had a bug where a titan breifly targeted me with his laser, then the sight dissapeared when he stopped to do his fist attack, but then the laser continued even though the sighting laser dissapeared

Just had a very buggy multiplayer game; virtually every action was affected. Weapons went through enemies, turrets were subtracted from my credit but never appeared, shrines/chests either activated late or not at all.
Oh, also my in-game reported health showed nearly dead while my player HUD indicated I was super healthy.

hey, idk if this is a bug or not, but when Multi uses the Milky Chrysalis and then switches weapons, the Milky Chrysalis IMMEDIATELY ends. I know some other actives (like the Ocular Hud) continue their active effects after switching weapons so I'm not sure if this is an outlier or intentional.
Huntress could not move after spawning in this location on Abandoned Aqueduct. If it matters, this was second cycle.

hey, running the new map (scorched acres) and couldn't find the tp. the usual bridge structure wasn't there to connect the one hill to the platforms. we went everywhere accessible on the map to no avail. anyone else have this problem?
so im not 100% sure if it's been posted already but i had gotten a happiest mask on one of my runs and i killled the boss Clay Dunestrider and my mask took over his ghost and he began to do the action where he sucks everything toward him and with him being on my side he sucked me in and insta killed me. not sure if that's intented or not if it is then ignore this.
I don't know if this has been addressed here but I have recently been encountering a bug where the player ends up killing themselves or their friends because they become too strong. The items that bring up this are 1 57 Leaf Clover, 1 Happiest Mask, at least 6 Shaped Glass, and around 10 Gasolines. For some reason having both 57 leaf clover and happiest mask has a chance to spawn a double ghost, and it seems that if somehow the player kills the second ghost that shouldn't exist it causes the game to think that Gasoline has been triggered by an enemy entity which causes it to spread to nearby players basically causing instant death because the person who has 6 Shaped Glasses causes the Gasoline to do massive damage. I thought this was a fluke but I have run into this issue here and there in my runs lately. Has anyone else run into this or something similar?

Didn't manage to get an image of it, but just after teleporting to the hell stage my friend and I were put it in the cave with all the crystals, and he got stuck about 1 ft in the air and could only look around, couldn't move or shoot, and enemies would take ages to attack him when there were loads around
dont know if this has been reported already, or if it's intended, but the other day i used a blood shrine as we teleported to the next map.
and i was able to start the next map with 180g or so from the shrine, instead of the usual zero.
only ever tried this once and succeeded, so i'm not sure if it's easy to reproduce or not. but it seems to be.

I was doing a run with a friend and on stage 5 only stone golems spawned as enemies. Not sure if this is a bug or just and random change just wanted to make sure you were aware.

I had a run where celestial portal spawned immediately after the bosses died. The portal wasn't done charging yet. Small one, but still
In late game (400 mins) enemies almost stopped spawning. I just had like 10 enemies before activating the portal, and then waves of 5 - 10 enemies every 25%.
I couldn't open all the chests on the map because lack of money.

From my experience, you can die no matter which ghost is created. It just happened to be a malachite ghost, but i believe that the issue here is when you get a kill and the ghost it creates is affected by gasoline. I dont know why it's affected with gasoline, but it seems to only happen to ghost that just spawned in the last second. When that happens, somehow it can proc to something else that is friendly, including your character. Which is why sometimes when you're far into the game, you get insane dot effect and seem to take damage every second, as if you were on fire or something. The stronger you are, and the more gasoline you have, the faster you will die. Having a few shaped glasses could mean you won't even see dot effect as it will just one shot you. Sometimes, if you have enough Tougher Times, you can outlast the dot effect and survive, or block enough to reach the teleport, which will save you.
@thick wasp it's not that the bug is inconsistent. In my experience it will occur 100% of the games, it's just a matter of time. It usually occurs when you get very op and kill things as they spawn, and is more frequent when things spawn in groups of 10+.
That usually happens when you are AT LEAST 150 minutes in. usually more around 200.
If you always play 60 minutes games, that bug will never occur to you.

I thought that it was me, failing at pressing the key with enough pressure? But after one hour, I died because because while I was smashing Shift with Mercenary, it did nothing (it wasn't on CD). It did the dash after a second, when I wasn't pressing it anymore (but it was late, I was marked with the hit of an electric elite).

If you change a movement button to a mouse button, then the opposite movement clears from the keyboard. Same for if you have it bound to a mouse button and bind the now cleared movement to the keyboard button, it clears the mouse movement button.

Was wondering (for me and my pal that does not use Discord) - is it known that only host will have an access to Preon Accumulator when guest does not have [REDACTED] achievement unlocked yet?
We managed to reproduce it successfully couple of times (just wipe the progress and rush the stages with guest opening the crate). I can pick it up normally but the guest can not.
Input lag. Like that, yes. But it happened a couple of times. Almost at the start of the game, in the middle and when I died. And during a couple of seconds, max. Enough time to get suspicious.
The screen wasn't even flooded with enemies as it was pretty early in the game and even then, my PC can handle it pretty well. (1070, R7 1700 and 16GB RAM).

I am unsure if this is a bug or if it is intended, but the Newt Altar spawns on Distant Roost appear to be bugged. Each map appears to have 3 locations where Newt Altars can spawn, and every map EXCEPT Distant Roost always has at least 1 Altar. Every loop of every run, I have found the Newt Altar on every map except for distant roost. I know all three spawn locations, it just doesn't seem to spawn consistently like it does on every other map.
@heavy quartz I have noticed the same. There is some inconsistency on Roost lately.

@heavy quartz I think the inconsistency stems from the altar being able to spawn on the adjunct isle even if the interconnecting catwalk itself doesn't spawn so that you have to go the high way around which not all characters are able to do.

besides that, me and my friend think it is bugged, i usually have no newts that spawn on that stage, my friend and i think its because newt shrines are client based and due to this sometimes it just doesnt sync correctly. but who knows

Kind of new here, but as I started playing for the first time, I noticed a little bit of a grammatical error in the settings and I figured i'd say it here.
"The reduces" is the part where the error is. There's probably a couple similar things in other parts of the game's text, but this one could slightly confuse some people who would think there's a missing letter there.

Hello, I don't know if this bug has been reported yet but I'll post this here anyway just in case.
In a normal multiplayer game I managed to die while traveling through the quantum tunnel from the Eccentric Vase item and something interesting happened. I died, but as I got off the quantum tunnel I was not put in ragdoll mode or started spectating afterwards. It seemed I was alive with negative hp, but I couldn't do much. Moving with WASD didn't make me move but made the running animation show, I could use my abilities but the cooldown stopped counting down so couldn't use them afterwards. However I could jump, and because I had wax quail I could move around to places with that. Enemies didn't deal any damage to me but I couldn't interact with anything. My teammate was so confused seeing me jump around even though I died. Eventually my teammate died, and so the lose screen came up for me, however I could still jump around in the background. I don't know what my teammate saw after death but he seemed to be even more confused than before.

I was unfortunately unable to local the crash report, but here's my issue anyway.
2 days ago, I was suddenly unable to boot RoR2. I clicked play on Steam, and it would get stuck on a black loading(?) screen, regardless of how long I waited. Clicking the screen would cause the game to stop responding and Windows asked me whether I wanted to shut down or wait until it responds. I was thus unable to start the game.
Today, I managed to get past the black screen, although it took longer than it did when everything functioned normally. The problem I am now encountering is stuttering, grainy audio.
I have already tried to verify the game files using the option in Steam, this did not fix it.
Also I had this happen to me recently:
I got 3 hours into a run and then somehow died to myself? No enemies were around as I had killed them all instantly with this crazy build, yet I started taking damage. It was consistent damage over time ticks(2 every second or so), which I eventually died to when my Tougher Times failed to block 2 hits in a row. It had been going on for at least 15 seconds before I died. Again, there were no enemies around and it did not show a debuff in above my health bar.

After a very long time into a run (around 4-5 hours on monsoon) chests cost negative gold and some enemies like the aurelionite have negative hp (which i assume means you need to deal enough damage to make the numbers reset to positive). Likewise any number higher than 10 billion becomes a negative number, which happens decently early on with gold.

pylons won't deactivate, and golems is always invincible with all pylons up
Tesla Coil has a description mismatch. It increases only by 2 per stack. This mismatch has been in the game since initial early access release

@errant musk I tested this while playing merc, who can make it to all spawns regardless of whether the land bridge spawns or not, as well as the third one on the other side of the gate (you can go over the top of the map and drop down).
@brittle turtle the spawns other than the one on the rock can both potentially be cut off for most characters, but you can still make it there as the more mobile ones. The first is on the island that sometimes has a land bridge connecting it to the main map behind a rock. The second is through a door that may sometimes be open, behind a fallen pillar.
I don't recall ever finding the newt altars if their location was meant to be cut off. For example, the one behind the pillar only seems to spawn if the door is open. Taking an alternative route there while the door is closed never seems to lead me to an altar

i don't know if this is well known but you can place engineer's turrets inside walls and they can still attack things and only take damage from AOE attacks

If a shrine of the mountain spawns close to the teleporter you can trigger the teleporter, let the bosses spawn, and then trigger the shrine (or if it's in the charging range) and you will get a free shrine of the mountain item.
@thin pollen - I don't think that's since Rex does percentage damage, and I was out of combat, I had just left the fight so it's unlikely. Also, I had about 200ish health including barrier which was immediately wiped out

there's a flag that you can activate or deactivate that will cause mods to affect other ppl. doesn't work with all mods, most mods require everyone to have it installed to use it for everyone, but i know a few mods can just work for everyone.

The first time I arrived in the scorched grove, I was glitched into the floor. After moving, I fell from the level and respawned as normal into the level.
Got an Elder Lemurian Horde of Many as a boss on Abyssal Depths, and the one Glacial Lemurian spawned on the plinth of a spent Shrine of Chance...and was apparently unable to get down.

There's a bug where Stone Golems constantly spawn and nothing else, even though there was never the message for like [THE EARTH RUMBLES]. Also it happened after a stage and never stopped happening after we had Stone Titan bosses.

me and a friend were having an amazing run, and it seemed like once we hit about the 2 hour mark the damage we were doing caused the game to crash for both of us. Both of us have great PC's, 1080ti's Ryzen 9's etc. This was the second time this has happened to us

2 player lobby, no mods: fought the pair of elder lumerians for their bands and visually they dropped 2 items each but one pair didn't correctly spawn and were just these green orbs. My lobby partner didn't see the green orbs on his side.

Was using Spinel Tonic during a run, and eventually got to the point where thanks to Gesture uptime was 100%, but whenever it activated while it was already active, it distorted the visuals a great deal, making everything really grainy and all item rarity/interactible outlines/highlights were significantly offset from where they were supposed to be

No, I know that--there's a visual distortion element to Tonic that I've experienced. This was a really grainy, crappy looking distortion and extreme offsetting of outlines to objects that was both different from the normal distortion and looked in no way intentional
I've experienced this too, it seems once you achieve 100% uptime the distortion effect can compound and be far worse than it would be usually.

the huntresses lock on system sometimes doesnt respond as quickly as it should
@mellow marten the clay dunestrider sucking ability can hurt allies, as the enemies can suck and hurt enemies too. It has friend fire enabled in this ability.

@austere stone that’s the asshole host’s fault. Host migration doesn’t exist so if you do not do EXACTLY what they want they can instantly throw the game

Fun times. Multiplayer needs some serious tweaks/loving. But I guess quickplay with randoms will always be a roll of the dice
they have mentioned that they want to do host migration but that it'd be a chore and a half
when QP works and you have a group of friendly people it's great!. But as it is now it's filled with a bunch of entitled retards ruining the fun because they don't get to hog all the items.
Honestly QP would be miles better even without host migration if they just added a penalty for quitting quickplay and a user referral system. Good players are given good ratings and match up with other good players, while shitters would get thrown in to match up with other shitters
You never know why the host had to quit their game or lost their connection. You can't always assume that it's out of douchebag reasons which is why a ratings system is pointless. Just give us host migration even if it means we'll have to wait one or two years until we get it because it's time-consuming to develop and integrate.

When i dodgerolled into a staircase, i glitched and fused with it. Couldn't find a better metaphor for playing this game so 10/10 would become stairkin again!
I encountered a bug with Machalite imp teleporter boss disappearing.. Idk if it's with will-o-wisp trying to get the final kill or what, but I got it's health low and it just disappeared.. Rocket's from opening up chest didn't even home on it and the arrow telling me where enemies are just pointed me in a direction with nothing there.
Was playing an online multiplayer game when without warning or any message indicating what happened, I was brought instantly to the main menu. I assume if it were a simple disconnect, I would have gotten some message about it

When playing with a controller, I have to reassign the ping button (R3) in order for it to register a ping. I have used multiple controllers and this still happens.

when the crew spawned in it got stuck in the cave
Had a Wandering Vagrant that lived for 5-10 seconds after reaching 0 health, getting off its AoE blast and subsequently dying after. (This vagrant killed that run)
yesterday, I didn't quite get a screenshot since things were too hectic, but in one instance of gameplay, imps and overlord imps would teleport a absurd amount, pretty much as soon as they can if they aren't attacking or such, and certain characters such as the giant lizard ones would create absurd levels of noise, probably from looping sound effects like the fire breathing one.
i reckon this was associated to the connection to the host's gameplay having the perfect level of latency and lag that the ai for imps and overlord imps, and the sounds for certain characters, being fucked with

its been happening for a while so we just kinda stopped playing the game because of it.
I don't know if this is worth reporting, but as you can see, the shrine spawned on a surface where it cause it to be tilted
When I go afk for more than 10 or 15 minutes (alt tabbed) the game sends me back to the lobby screen but it's completely black. I can still bring up the pause menu, and I have a cursor that can interact with the buttons in the lobby (tested by opening friends list from invite friends option(this happened while in multiplayer)) If a dev could look into this because I can't play long games due to this bug.
When I was playing in Wetland Aspects as the 2nd level, the only enemy that would spawn was Wisps for the whole level. It might have spawned a Golem once, but other that, just Wisps. The teleporter boss were the Greater Wisps which makes it even weirder. I couldn't record it and I forgot to take some screenshots. I was playing as

So I was trying to start a run and in the queuing screen i had a weird graphics bug in the bottom left above the back button

one of the bends at the very bottom of the wall near where I have my marker at, is a position where using the merc's dash attack can clip you through the wall if aimed right somewhere near the floor/wall, at the corner there

im not a programmer but if you play as bandit then you could expect some issues.
I was not playing as bandit, this was a normal unmodded run. The reason why you see "Unregistered survivor bandit" is because he is still in the files but not programmed into the game.
The game isn't freeing up resources like it should be so it's effectively a memory leak which should be addressed

using movement moves when mid air from one of the air jet things stops you from moving until you hit the ground

Good morning, I think I found a mistake in the "Wetland aspect" area if you go to a specific area after a giant wall you find an area where it's impossible to hang out with the "astronaut" character (yes, that's what I call him) because he has no escape skills, in this area there are no monsters, I believe that even the flyers can not reach you, if you were with the mercenary for example, could stay there, crowding enemies outside and when you want you can leave and kill them
not so much as a mistake as an unintended soft lock. That area opens up every now and then due to random tile set generation, like the bridge in Distant Roost. But in both maps, that random area still exists so it's still possible to get into those areas.
