So I'm positive performance issues are not limited by lacking hardware capacity - my CPU and GPU usage are both low (high 50% range), the game is not using an excess of memory on either end, but the entire thing still lags heavily when processing masses of enemies and on-hit effects.
This is a slightly overclocked GTX1070 Max-Q (200 on core), i7-8750H downclocked slightly to a cap of 3.7GHz instead of 3.9 because at 3.9 the game pushes it over the thermal throttling limit of 95 degrees with no noticeable performance gain, 1x16GB RAM.
FPS limited to 60, which is hard limiting GPU usage, but not improving performance in a way that lets it hit 60 and stay there. Medium hard shadows, full textures and VFX culling, medium LOD, no foliage wind or SSAO, immediate low corpses. This is the third or fourth loop on drizzle, freezing on item pickup manifested about halfway through.

@sweet venture So my issue wasn't v-sync. It's because I have one monitor hooked to my onboard video and one to the graphics card while I wait for my new monitor to get here. I had the onboard monitor set to the primary because reasons, so it was trying to run the game with the onboard regardless of what screen it's on. I switched to the other monitor for primary and now it runs like a dream

I can start the game, add/make/load a profile. The next menu screen will allow me change the settings. The only other menu option that works is the Title_MultiPlayer, which takes me to a new menu page, where none of the links work.

The lower resolutions started just being like the biggest resolutions but making everything extremely blurry

@frail zinc make sure you dont have any controllers on, uninstall Vjoy under device manager
The game's recognizing it as you playing with a controller instead of mouse and keyboard, which is why the abilites show the bindings for controller instead of keyboard and mouse

So I got it to work with my GTX 970
turns out all I had to do was fiddle with the DPI settings in properties

Doesn't seem to be a consistent thing, but it is always after something triggers (opening a chest, activating the teleporter)
It's happened twice now. Which was why I was wondering if the game stored log info to see if I could dig in and figure out if it was hardware based

hi guys i have a 1800x 3.9gh all cores,1080ti amd 3200mhz ram and game starts nice and smooth then after like 5 stages my fps drop from 150+ to 20 - 30 fps, my cpu and gpu usage is really really low aswell

Anyone have any idea why I cant join a friends lobby or host my own lobby? Whenever we attempt to join, nothing happens. No kick back to menu screen, no weird timers, nothing. It's like we didn't even hit join. This happens regardless of if we join through ID or through steam invites.

My GPU usage when I have the game open is around 4% and running at 6 fps. When I tab out it jumps to around 85% and is running at 160 fps

I'm unable to reconnect to a multiplayer game after being disconnected - just hits black screen and then boots me back to menu.

Still having connection issues with multiplayer. Quickplay makes me join the pre-game lobby, but cannot see my own character nor ready up. I'm able to join private session with brother, and he can invite others to the game. I personally cannot do this, as people experience the same issue I do when joining others. However, if I Hamachi (which I installed after having these issues) someone on a different network, I can play with them.
Edit: RoR2 has full firewall access, I've tried verifying cache/restarting, also reinstalling/restarting. Leading me to believe it's something wrong with my computer's networking, but where would I even start?

Is there somewhere I can mess with lower level mouse settings? I'm having an issue where any time i press and hold a mouse button (including middle) it locks my cursor and i cant move the camera until i let go.

Because it (hamachi) likes to mess with network routing, and unless you're comfortable editing the routing table in windows, the easiest solution is to disable the interface
