Idk I think calling the other ones gimmicky kinda defeats their purpose. They're supposed to invite uniqe playstyles and different ways to engage with the combat. Like ||beast for example, which articulates an aggressive playstyle, or shaman which focuses on skill casting||

Honestly probably the coolest thing to ever come out of a Ubisoft game, but of course at a price
its design isn’t exactly fitted into the game’s combat, he’s fucking massive and you have to smack his claws around but that means you can’t see attack indicators coming from elsewhere besides the paws like 80% of the time
or maybe that’s just me being punished for having a camera preference in the settings but whatever, still an issue
and for some reason he has a revival ability that is just seemingly completely unrelated to his entire character and battle, i hadn’t finished deciding if it was a game bug or a feature by the time it was over
Still got impressively far on my first run though, i would’ve probably won that fight too if his revival process didn’t confuse me

In the last few missions everything will be 3-5 levels above you even if you go farm some levels which I thought was intended but nope the game just randomly jumps in level and doesn’t fix itself or goes up with you as you level
The ones in the 3rd area aren’t bad when it happens only found it to happen once there and they were only 1-2 higher
The last area is basically the whole area til you beat the game than they go to your level

I ran Rafa with a cannon build and the cannons just killed everything for me and they keep themselves up so I don’t have to
