@bitter granite I'm making a WR equipment based Voltron and watching a video on the style was such an eye opener, you need alot of protection to make it work

At first I disliked white cause I thought removal with drawbacks were shit
but I realize now that they still have to pay the mana to play the spell to begin with and typically you'd save an insane turn, making it worth it anyways
Occasionally eating up the targets draw has benifits too

Here is the problem with Voltron

#

Every set adds 5 new ways to get around all of Voltron’s protection

#

Also your whole game plan relies on a single creature

#

Which if that creature is just constantly countered and destroyed when it hits field, before you get a chance to put protection on it

Than your paying more mana for the creature than your game plan

#

I use to play Voltron and that was the big problem, and I have two friends who play Voltron now and they always lose to me cause I just don’t let them get out their commander

Blue probably has one of the worse and best removals cause of that

Interaction means you are reacting to something, white is defensive since it will give you protection or stop things from happening

Naya doesn’t really use the defensive part of white, it uses the token making part

#

Green in Naya for go big, white in Naya for go wide, red in Naya for be aggressive

Best defensive you’ll get in 3 colors is probably Bant

#

Which is why I like it so much, I get to protect myself while slowly getting bigger and bigger over the course of the game

What you do do with this is a landfall counters deck

Doubling counters playing multiple lands out with ways to return lands to hand

And also running mirror box so legendary rule doesn’t apply to your token, so you can have multiple Primo

You can’t make copies of primo as those copies will enter as 0/0 and die

#

Unless you have something that lets the copies enter with counters
