first you equip a lure, that should highlight tracks of the animal matching the lure you have equipped. Head to one of them and interact with it, you'll start seeing highlighted tracks, follow them until the NPC matching the area tells you it's time to do a call, you should hear the animal's call, and then you'll have to match it, to do this you hold down the fire button while keeping the frequency in the highlighted area, once this is done correctly the NPC should warn you the animal is coming, pull out your tranq rifle and aim with it, it should highlight said animals, then you have to shoot them, not every spot is vulnerable, varies based on the animal, the rifle has very heavy dropoff and slow prohectile speed. after being hit the animal will fall asleep and you can walk up and interact to capture them. that should be all, gl!
