assuming you already have a bane mod, aptitude won't ever outdamage a maxed serration UNLESS the trumna benefits from it multiplicatively
the issue with aptitude is bug frame has the mod work differently depending on the weapon, some weapons benefit additively like serration damage bonus, and some benefit multiplicatively

Not maxing serration is fine but leaving vital sense and elementals un maxed is a huge damage loss for like one sculptures worth of endo
I think eximus spawnrates could be lower but uh it's not de's fault this doesn't easily kill the level 60-70 enemy faction that you fight at the current end of the story
