Some missions i’m convinced you could S rank on a first ever playthrough they’re so easy, if just playing story counted mission ranks
But some missions like fucking grid 082 or BAWS arsenal 2 you need to be flawless or it’s an A rank at best

like they have a hidden par time and stuff like that

On another note, the pvp sucks so much it's easily the worst game in the series to play pvp. People sucked the fun out of it less than a few days after the release. Like missile rats man, ITS AWFUL

yeah lmao, on switch there is a button that just locks onto the nearest target and leads your cursor onto them like its super glued on.
its not the best for mobbing since you have to re click it after every enemy elimination if I remember correctly, but it trivializes certain bosses with the correct weapons. Fair warning, the auto aim does not LEAD SHOTS, it just puts the cursor on the target
(bad weapons for auto aim involves low projectile speed, and low-no tracking, really silly weapons is like high projectile speed, tracking, large projectile size)

one thing I did with my friend back then is to just plop in some starter gear to accelerate us to a point in the game where we would like to start at.
Post Evil boss? Corrupted or Crimson Gear. Pre WoF? molten gear, early hardmode? kill WoF with end game character and leave the loot and some crystals for our new run

small thing you might want to keep in mind to get the most out of your npc's: They have a happiness number that changes based on the biome they live in, the number of neighbors they have, and what other npc's they live by. You can see everything when you click on the word happiness when talking to a npc, and you can even see their preferred biome in the bestiary
