anyway the way i see it, warframes are like chocolate
some (most) of them arent baked fully, and have chunks of them that just arent as good as the rest. This person likes this other piece of chocolate, so they cut out the bad piece and replace it with a new piece.
Then there are people who are so immensely addicted to this new piece of chocolate that theyll even shove it onto bars that are already perfectly fine, and so now you just have a wasted piece of chocolate thats perfectly good
and i respect people who go out of their way to experiment with weird types of chocolate on a bar where something else is usually the meta

yeah they have the stats for it- the only issue is when you realize that guns are just straight up better than most melees
sevagoth has an incredibly potent kit, don't get me wrong. especially with the borderline mandatory augments he's super good. but guns have such insanely good and cracked mods that melee can't really compare in most cases. and sevagoth's shadow, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. a lack of armor strip, a 80 fucking degree cone on a grouping tool, and a damage vulnerability that i'm pretty sure is akin to base damage mods, all the while locked to a melee that doesn't have too much range.
