Why do people play pokémon nuzlockes, how exactly does it make it “harder” to treat fainted mons as dead

Just did a gym with a ~5 levels underleveled team compared to the gym leader’s ace, fought every trainer in the gym before the leader, did not use a single item, and nobody fainted. If the game’s easy enough that fainting is a rare thing then what does the release-on-faint gimmick even do

Taking options off the table to force yourself to tackle a problem in an unconventional way was fun, whereas I don’t see how a nuzlocke is any different from a normal run beyond grinding more

usually you're also not allowed to use items in battle and you can't use pokemon centers so there's also limited resources, also you're only allowed to get one pokemon per route in some versions. The idea is to limit as many resources as possible to make the player roll with the punches. You're right, literally any random dudes at full health can beat whatever gym more or less. Level limits also get added in order to make it not a battle of attrition with time.

What’d Microsoft do? I don’t keep up to date on them, but the account migration thing seemed pretty well handled as far as I can tell? Like there was about 1.5 years that account migration was available, with a warning well before the end that accounts that didn’t migrate would become inaccessible

They were discontinuing a service (the Mojang accounts) and offering a way to keep purchases made on those accounts, a few people got screwed over if they lost their original email address or whatever but a handful of people being out a $30 game a decade after launch doesn’t really seem like a big evil thing to me

In this case she does both for the twin dragons

They act like continuous spells

They stay on field on match and it’s very rare there is a card that can remove it

The twin dragons are a robot and volcano dragon that play off of each other to reduce your opponent’s resources

Red/Black deck meaning it likes to go for big attacks and big protection

Usually you won’t play the twin dragons you will digivolve into them and Hina allows you to use those on play effects without playing them

She also searches them out since they both find into those 4 dragon types

Realized the robot dragon rookie form is a bird dragon and not a machine/sky dragon like it’s evolved forms

So it’s not searchable normal but I have another monster not part of the family that can search out any dragon
