The recording software I was using lowered my fps by a lot which affected how enemy spawns worked. So that’s why they were spawning in front of me. They are not supposed to spawn in front of you.

You can buy character with real money but the game warns you multiple times before you do that you can also just unlock those character via gameplay

If you want something just get the coins to buy it, bring it new characters, skins, cosmetics, etc
The game is a lot more focused on teamwork and playing with your team

But also in the final mission both teams have a chance to let one person turn into a dinosaur and fight the enemy team
The slower team gets their chance towards the start of the final mission, the faster team gets it towards the end
