And you have your naked children form

Which is just no class at all

You have to go out and find your first real body, they start you off with a generic one that doesn’t really have abilities just enough defense to let you survive a few hits

And you can freely go in and out of that body during combat but don’t think you can change your body in combat

Basically just leave behind a husk while you run around and can go back inside it when need be

if youve played all dark souls games and elden ring and you still have an insatiable thirst for games like those then you could go for it

its like it has some cool idea with the multiple bodies (though there is one that is just better in so many ways it doesnt really matter (not counting the DLC one which is intentionally overpowered), hardening was an alright mechanic, the four weapons are all diverse (though upgrading them is a bitch), and it looks good graphically

the bosses are bad, healing items have to be farmed (and not like in the DS2 way where you can just buy them for dirt cheap), enemy encounters are slogs, the world design is confusing and samey looking, the lore doesnt really have anything to offer

i could go on on how Mortal Shell just aint that good

if you want good Indie Souls, go play Salt and Sanctuary
