Elder knowledge is generally the first thing you want to get and level up

If you plan on sticking with the hunter armor you can just upgrade any damage traits you come across since you already have some of the highest damage in game

Vigor and endurance are nice to upgrade if your struggling with a boss to give you a boost

Since you started as a hunter you start with one of the best armor sets and weapons in the game so you can honestly just stick with that stuff and upgrade it the whole game
