Index is definitely comfy. I've had multiple sessions where I've played for a full 8 hours straight and 0 discomfort

Quest 2 I immediately heard complaints about how uncomfortable it was

they cheaped out on the head strap so they could sell you a nicer one for another like $150 or whatever

Quest 1 at least had a manual slider for IPS, which they got rid of in the Quest 2 to have like 4 preset distances

so if your eyes arent one of those 4, which is probably unlikely, get fucked I guess

the Quest 1 they at least tried to make a nice headset. Wasnt the greatest, but was fine enough and you could easily get 3rd party stuff to make it more comfortable

guess another thing to know is are you allowed to drill into your walls and mount stuff?

because the base stations are best when wall mounted high up, and safest

Preset distances already has be lost of interest. I only know about the quest 2 when it was the wireless variant a friend of mine had to just walk around and he said reception was fine but quality was scuffed.

I do not know the exact name but the model before meta quest 2. I can mount yes.

oh yea, Quest has a thing where you draw out your playspace and it turns on the outside cameras when you walk out of it

you can just draw the area absolutely massive like I did and just have the rug to keep you centered

but yea, wireless quest when playing on PCVR heavily relies on your internet quality as well

oh yea, guess I should mention as well, Index runs better than the quest 2

when used on the same PC rig, Index had 20% better performance

if you use an oculus headset through PC, youre forced to run their oculus software as well.
you'll have to be running both oculus and steamVR at the same time if you wanna play anything on steam

if you are behind a wall you can't attack and tone knows where you are
if you try negating the rockets, tone's m1 still does a shitton of damage
also tone has support from the friendly and enemy team
if the enemy team tries to push with any frame beyond ronin they die
if they push with ronin, the enemy team just counters with like more than 2 titans focusing the ronin
if they play a tone then you just have a stalemate until one pops a good core and the game progresses

because every match has some choke point or place where the action is happening
you can't expect the enemy team to just dip when the tone shows up

you deal damage to the tone, is that not helpful enough to your team? if the tone panics and pushes back, you get past, and if you kill the tone, no more fucking problems

i'm just saying for the low low effort of pressing a button you have forced the enemy to expend exponentially more effort pushing
the enemy team essentially becomes a little ball of ehp that has to get through the tone's teams dps long enough to get past the shield then they can start the fighting
i digress i'm bored of talking about this
