Is the Boss Item Scrap cooldown reduction for Drifter wrong? It's jumping all over the place for me for Salvage. One was 15 seconds, then 3, then 26. I'm so confused

seeker, operator and railgunner are the strongest out of that group but you could do it with any survivor, so just use whoever you're most confident with imo.
Build doesn't have to be anything overly specific as long as you've got good dps- when in doubt, proc chain builds are always strong and easy to set up, just make sure you're full-clearing stages and varying your items rather than stacking just one thing.

For the boss itself, it's usually a pretty long fight so focus on surviving and taking out its weak points, don't bother trying to attack its main body. A good strat is to get all of the weak points low without killing them, and then try to break them all it once to skip some of its phases

you can get them pre-loop on some stages by stacking mountain shrines, but generally you won't see them until later stages (usually stage 8 or 9 on monsoon)

if you're on PC, try killing steam with task manager and restarting it, that seems to fix it. But if you're on steam deck then I don't think there's much you can do besides pray that gearbox fixes it soon

I usually recommend Survivors of the Void first, it expands on the base-game content the most and generally has the strongest presence in normal runs. It's also arguably the simplest, which might make it more approachable if you're newer to the game.
But all of the dlcs are good, so if there's one that looks especially interesting, go for that one

I have 36 hours in ror2, i did no modding, no file editing, just played the game normally and was playing it just fine last night. When i loaded ror2 up on steam it says my profile is corrupted. i had almost every character and most of their unlocks and every item, how can i restore my profile so i dont have to restart and create a new one preferably without mods

if you do end up losing your save then the realercheatunlocks mod is an easy way to get your progress back, ik you said no mods but the only other option would be manual save-editing, which is harder and basically the same thing

It depends on wheather you are playing solo or with friends.
If you play solo:
Equip swinds and alt m2
These two will help A LOT with flaying enemies and etc, but it makes your movement survivability a bit worse, so you should play more careful.
When you play with friends:
Now thats an interesting part about merc's playstyle. To be short: Go to the group of enemies - Aura farm - Die from random one-shot fireball
If we dont talk short: you should equip all of the vanilla skills (except shift) and try to constantly expose enemies, damaging them and having 1 second cd's, giving you constant i-frames and juicy damage. Merc is good against swarms of enemies and horde of enemies in general, because he can deal a lotta damage and also expose a lotta enemies and help both his team and himself with dealing with them (im sorry if im writing anything wrong my brain is just deying its like 00:56 eyahgrgdggdgsh)

tl;dr merc is at his best when he plays aggressive and abuses expose as much as possible to keep getting high damage and short cooldowns

learning the m1 extension tech helps a lot, although it's not a requirement

heal for 1000 is also easy, since it allows items, so you can just like. eat a fruit, elixir, massive leech, maybe with rejuv, if the healing you wanna use scales with max hp then buff that too.
50% teleporter easy too. just spam mortar absolutely non-stop from a distance, you STAY under 50.
the skills you unlock aren’t the good ones imo (maybe argument for barrage over mortar), so it doesn’t really matter unless you’re after completion

So I have a few questions with Seeker mainly around tranquility and how it scales her and her skills. But also about the barrier of the alt secondary.

First off the hopefully simple question. Does alt secondary soul spiral not scale the amount of barrier it gives on hit with your health/level?

Since it seems to give basically a full bar of barrier early on then barely any later in the run as I level up.

Second the complicated stuff. So the wiki states that tranquility gives a +1% to all stats. Along with buffing all her skills in different ways. Is that actually a thing/true? Because unless my game is bugged that isn't happening for me.

I don't notice any increase in damage, attack speed, movement speed etc from tranquility stacks. I only see a change when reaching 7 stacks and getting saving grace with meditate.

Second in one section the wiki states that Meditate gets 200% damage per tranquility stack but in another it says 100%. I am guessing the 200% is the correct amount. Since the one that says 100% increase also doesn't mention the radius increase.

The wiki also says that palm blast gets both bigger and faster with each stack. And while it is certainly bigger it doesn't seem to be moving the same speed. As the max range doesn't seem to change much which if the wiki is to be believed should be a 50% speed increase. Unless the "becomes faster" bit refers to charge speed in which case my bad.

the only dlc that would make a difference is alloyed collective, all the other stage 4 maps are basegame.

Protip though, if you've got lunar coins to spend you can go to the bazaar from stage 3 and use lunar seers to try to get sirens

You start a new run with one of the characters that arrive in a pod (so all but acrd, false son, void fiend or MulT), you interact with the back of the pod and get a special equipment. Then you go to the stage 4 called Abyssal Depths and look for the broken Rex and interact with it. The catch is, while you have that equipment if you get to less 50% hp, it explodes and you die

total damage procs are good on everybody since they're multiplicative, damage multipliers like watch or focus crystal are also naturally really good, if it's a burst-focused character then they can lean into a bit more
