Friends and I are looking at getting back into playing again since it sounds like the bugs have been fixed and the new DLC release seems well received. Out of curiosity in the past year has anything been done about the abysmal chest spawns when doing multiplayer?

We had been using the artifact that drops items when enemies die because with 4 players somebody would always fall behind due to how few chests there were to split. Then it would turn into 1-3 people basically watching the living player(s) try to win for the next hour. I know the Seeker can revive and something new about a bot, but the main issue I had was the amount of loot there was to split overall. Solo I think the loot amount is perfectly acceptable.

There is not a system like that in the base game. The loot amount is multiplied by the number of players, so it should be enough as long as some players are not hoarding. There exists only one guaranteed legendary chest in stage 4, you should decide which playwr would benefit the most from picking it up. The stage 4 Sirens call has a miniboss instead of the guaranteed chest, beating that boss drops as many legendaries as players. On the other hand, there are mods that do what you say if you all play on pc. Mods are very easy to install for this game

I’m familiar with legendary chest being limited and the sirens call boss dropping items like a standard stage boss.

But a few years ago when I started playing I swear our 4 player games where we would loot out levels 1-2 fully and there was at max 12-14 chests to share per floor. And if one of us died it was basically game over for that player because you’d never get back on curve.

The new DLC release did add a system (even for people who don't own the DLC) where dead players can revive as drones. Doesn't really solve the loot part of your question but it does make it more fun so players aren't just sitting around while oneplayer does everything, and it means you can still pick up items after you die as long as the living player opens the chest for you

minor note: the BIG cooling towers are actually where the heat comes from, so from destroying the big towers you can interupt his heat attack as a whole instead of the small ones, if that makes sense||

a huge portion of his damage comes from his secondary and special, you should be spamming drone attacks whenever you need to deal damage

ideally you wanna prioritize combat-focused drones if you're using default m2, but generally the more drones you have, the better

u need the yellow orb the boss drops and a key, (either the triangle ones from the bridge or the square prison ones work). go through the portal in the orb. on the left side there will be a "waterfall" with chef behind it. chef allows u to craft 2 items into 1. do that with the orb and a key. Give that decrypted orb to the big ball in the middle of the stage. that opens a new portal to a new boss. after defeating it u get to choose "accept the offer" (press e) or "reject the offer" (kill it). some survivors get the skin by accepting and some by rejecting

There should be a Halcyon shrine which spawns on stage 1, once you complete that a green portal will spawn and take you to Reformed Altar. After each teleporter a green portal will spawn, keep going through and it will eventually lead you to the Prime Meridian which is where you fight false son.

Is the new lunar item from AC bugged/doesn’t work as intended? When they said “whoever kills the holder gets the item”, they meant it. Watching your drones get this item stinks, since unless your playing operator, you can’t control them. Not to mention how slowly it travels to its target, and its tendency to just drop as an item if said target dies. I’ve lost this item twice to it falling outside solid ground. I’m just surprised lunar items, which are supposed to be hard to get rid of, can just fall into the void.
