happens
I was assuming a scenario of proccing ATG so 0.75 coeff * 10% chance
ohh ok
the exact numbers don't really matter that much unless we talking alt skills
Captains just good at proccing, lower proc does hurt bleed duration but you can just spam
And getting more than one procs makes up for it. Or at least closer
it CAN work, the issue kinda stems from the fact that he does have good procs though. since your proc items also benefit from crits, I kinda feel like you get more value out of increasing the power of your reliable procs than banking on spamming enough of them to get the lost seers kill
wait nvm I lost the plot sorry
I thought we were still talking about captain and lost seers
No I was speaking about tri tip, I hate lost seers
riiight that was someone else lmao
Needleticks good when you cant maintain bleed and lower proc coeffs factor into that kinda a lot
I would remove it from my game if I could. Dear god great game devs give us that option
tho on Mando it's still like 400% damage on a 100% damage attack
that's the same boost as plimp early on
lost seer's is ok on a handful of survivors like bandit who already gets guaranteed crits
But if you had the choice between seers and safer spaces what are you choosing
you could say the same things about many items that are in the same tier. obviously i would pick spaces
i do kinda wish i could get rid of or "cleanse" void items somehow but idk what the balance implications of that would be
see the thing about that is that the other one is railgunner, and if you need seers to get through a rg run then something has gone horribly wrong
railgunner still benefits from crit chance
her passives a downside it's fucking funny
barely
take lost seers on her
it's better to just not take seers and save crit for scrap imo
it leads to less multiplier than crit usually gives, so I'd call that a downside
well the passive also just removes crit from your m1 which is annoying
5% more damage on m2 and m4 is so not worth anything
being unable to crit with equip or stompers
You can scrap it but why would you want to
to keep 1 attack on merc
?
What
for the third m1 to util tech
yeah just harder the faster attack speed
Not even that much harder
I mean I wouldnt scrap a whole irradiant pearl just because of that
Pearl gives less attack speed than a syringe, and you can still do it pretty easily with 1-2 syringes
I actually find the timing easier with 1 syringe lol
Also yeah, the "invincible merc build" is basically just holding r and waiting for things to slowly die lol
bleed has higher theoretical damage potential but requires constant stacking, while collapse does a higher burst of damage up front but doesn't stack as well.
Tick really shines on survivors that get lots of procs that they don't follow up on, since it capitalizes really well on those random bits of chip damage. Since Merc has huge hitboxes and almost all of his attacks pierce, he can benefit a lot from tick
but he's also able to focus a target well enough that he can keep bleed stacks going, so he can work with both tick or tritip imo, depending on your preference
if you want the math
Is something bugging my game? Since stage 2 I've only been getting stage 2 maps (currently at stage 7 and at wetland aspect, didnt loop or visit sky meadow)
yeah, that's a rare bug that can happen.
Try the usual stuff like reinstalling/verifying files, but if that doesn't work, the miscFixes mod should fix it iirc
You can check the thread "Stuck in an infinite loop" where several people with the same problem discussed it
How good is Tesla coil? ;W; apparently it's really good but I literally reroll it for some reason
Maybe I need to use it more man but still
it's a really good amount of free, passive damage
Hmm oke
every time i try to play multiplayer im stuck spectating myself and others, some players are in limbo too
is there a way to fix this i wanna play the game!!!
01990161-041a-02df-03b2-dc273db8d556 modpack if its relevant
does it still happen if you're playing without mods?
one of my friends tried on vanilla and the same happened
havent tried myself but i probably should...
give it a try just to rule it out
oh and obligatory, have everyone in the lobby turn crossplay OFF, if you haven't already (assuming you're all on steam)
im just joining random servers so yeah everyone has it off
yeah, honestly not sure then. A few other people have reported the bug, but it seems to be somewhat rare and I don't know if there's a known fix.
worked without mods... im suspecting these guys in particular
ill disable and test again
no, still isnt working
you could try #ror2-modding , give them your modlist and ask if there's anything that's known to cause issues
how do i get better at blinding assult tech, i can do it with focused assult just not blinding
it should be the same for both dashes, but one trick that helps with both is to do it at point blank range so that you get a little bit of hitpause on the first frame of the hitbox coming out, which gives you a larger window to hit dash or m2
If you're joining random servers with non-clientside mods then it's probably just because your mods don't match the server host. UnmoddedModVersion hasn't been updated since 2020 so I doubt it still works
my first 2 pearls were irradiant. this isnt how i wanted this run to go
that's not a bad thing lmao
seriously, the little bit of attack speed you get from a pearl isn't going to ruin your ability to do the expose tech
and also like, the expose tech isn't a requirement to make merc playable
no i know, ive done complete runs without it but still, that 30% health is nice
you still get health from an irridiant pearl tho
thats the thing all my mods should be client sided
does blinding event benefit from it as much as focused
debugtoolkit isn't clientside
it disabled
it's about the same, arguably more since you get 3 dashes that can all apply expose (assuming you do it on each dash), whereas focused gets you 1 expose from the tech and another from the dash itself. And with blinding it's easier to follow up on the expose right away
if anything blinding is more lenient, you get 3 dashes where you can attempt it instead of just one
do skin mods just only effect the local user in multiplayer?
might depend on the mod but I think so, yeah. Check if it has the client-side tag on the mod page
do you dash right before the final m1, like on the focsed i go off sound but it doesnt work the same with blinding
they should be at almost exactly the same time, but m1 has to happen just slightly before the dash
like, within a couple of frames
i can land if clicking singular but not holding
yeah, it's a little easier to do it that way, although you can get a feel for the timing with practice
is there a mod i can use to make a training area?
try debuggingplains + debugtoolkit
There's built in maps for it, with aitest and testplane/testplain
i forget which form of plane haha
do those also have the target dummy golem and stuff? I always just use debuggingplains lol
those can just be spawned in manually, anywhere
just an insanely scaled golem body id assume
yeah, it's just convenient to have one already spawned in
true
Why do some of my characters have a gold outline on them that flashes and it seems to change everyday?
it's meant to show that you've got a new unlock on that character that you haven't looked at yet, but it seems to be kinda buggy sometimes
Fax what should I play today?
uhhh mul-t
And what should I do go for unlocking achievements, bosses or getting unlocks on characters?
I'd say go for unlocks, you can get other achievs and stuff done along the way
what character do u play? or do u want overall build? do u have both dlc? or 1? or none?
that'd be a good place to start asuming you're running nailgun, but the more proc items you can get, the better
yeah
What’s proc mean like activate?
does anyone know if you can re enter path of the colossus if you leave
you can as long as you haven't killed false son yet
Oooo ok
perfect, thanks
Thanks fax 👏🏽
np
ive never seen a clearer sign not to go transcendence
scrap everything and get transendance anyway
thats what i did
how do i do the huntress secondery m1 challenge?
"As Huntress, land a killing blow with every possible hit of a single glaive."?
Artifact of glass and artifact of swarms
ye i tried it with wisps but after it killed one of em it just dint bounce
was there something near it?
yeah other wisps
Are you sure they were close enough
why cant i see any servers
like hugging distance from each other
What's good on acrid like honorable ones ?
From what I done I assume it's crystal
?
i got the game a few days ago and i watched a video on how to get the false son and i cant for the life of me get gold portals to show up, how do yall get gold portals to spawn???
Sacrifice and command will make the shrine spawn more, as chests and such stop spawning, and the Bazaar can have Gilded Coast as a Lunar Seer
Hey, what is the best way 2 do railgunner: anihhilator?
Most commonly is the Lunar Seer, though, although you'll need lunar
Pure damage mults, such as
especially, instead of things that would hit separately like
also works well to stack, as it stacks extremely well
how many stacks would i need aproximately
Ideally mix everything together, so it varies, but this is the table for glass
Your level also plays into how much you will do
128 glass will kill you, though
ok
enemies stop spawning when the teleporter hits 99% right?
Yeah
thanks!
assuming you're on steam, turn off crossplay
damage multipliers like
are great for boosting poison damage, DoTs and drones can help finish off enemies at low health, and total damage procs are good as always
I thought watch isn't great with acrid since it breaks or he gotta melee and might die
I mean, it's not like it's guaranteed that you'll break it, just jump away if you're taking too much damage
(or if you're lazy, just don't melee at all and let poison do all the work while you run in circles)
Did you buy the Seekers of the Storm dlc?
I only really see people melee stage 3 and before, anything past that and it's usually a risk outside of certain situations
it's viable after stage 3 but you do have to be really careful about it
How much should I stack leach seed and does lucky clover stack?
- approximately zero
- yes
leeching seed is just kinda trash and is completely outperformed by
+ crit
and stacking clover gives rolls more chances to succeed
i got the false son yall now i just have to get rex 🫡
same here pal
is there like a build/guide compendium/compellation or google doc put together that holds all the builds/guide etc?
pretty sure there isn't
aw, okay
builds in ror2 aren't really complex enough to be worth making a huge guide for anyway
like, there might be a few things that synergize with your character, or basic setups like infinite tonic, but usually you end up just wanting a bit of everything
there also aren't that many dedicated specific 'builds', it's more about knowing what items generally work well together and what types of things each survivor benefits from the most
yeah
ah okay,
the closest thing to set builds you'll get are equipment focused runs, like
or

for the most part I think they're fairly intuitive to figure out as long as you understand the basic mechanics behind how items work, and for that the wiki probably has all the info you need https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg/
This wiki is about the indie rogue-like game Risk of Rain 2. Here, you'll find all the data you need about each survivor, item, monster and much more.
Please feel free to contribute by creating new articles or expanding on existing ones.

kk
o been wondering r they additive or multiplactive
like crystal and watch
different multipliers are always multiplicative with each other
What’s it look like?

It’s locked behind a achievement
Ah
prismatic trials arent that hard to beat, when i did one for the achievement i think it took 20 mins or so
is the sawblade on multi actually good or nah?
it's hard to use but technically good, 1000% dps and the highest proc rate in the game
now what if i used dual sawblades with power mode?
kind of a meme build but it's effective once it gets going
early game is rough until you find a way to deal with flying enemies though
can you fight false son multiple times in one run
saw+nailgun powermode is a good compromise, and it makes nailgun perfectly accurate thanks to a funny quirk of powermode
the accuracy of the primary weapon affects the secondary for some reason
you're not supposed to be able to, but I think it's possible by getting one of the colossus stages in a lunar seer
okay cool thanks
Does anyone know if the aspects of elites still drop with the artifact of command + artifact of horror?
They do, yeah
That's awesome ty for letting me know 🫰
is it worth getting the dlcs? last time i properly played the game was when mythrix and captain came out and have been getting into it recently
If you're enjoying the game then yeah, they're both worth it
okay thank you!
What’s the item that drops more items white or green I rember getting it
Playing heritc to btw
probably sonorous whispers
Ah yeah
it drops guaranteed items from bosses(enemies not specifically tp events) and a small chance to drop items from elites
Thanks for the help guys!
What is War Bonds name in code? I wanna blacklist it for Scavengers (I have enough of hearing this goddamn trumpet every 5s)
BarrageOnBoss is already blacklisted for scavs
Ok, found it, it's "BarrageOnBoss"
Hm, then why have I heard the trumpt so often?
Maybe mine procced so much
because it activates when a scavenger spawns
Context: I was playing witch Chir from SS2, I charmed a Scav and had Scepter so it persisted. But I swear the Scav kept spamming the trumpet. Unless it was mine. Hm.
any time I scav spawns or gets an item yours activates
Wait, any time Scavs get an item? That's weird, why?
(That would explain it, Scav inherited my cooldown items and went on a scavenging spree)
because the coding is stupid
its not even meant for regular scavs its meant for twisted scavs
Lol
You think it would play the sound for ally Scavs too? Or was it coded so that it only procs when it's an enemy?
it will activate on ally scavs yes
Lmao bruh
ill forward it ig
I've heard mixed things about the DLCs over the years, are either of them worth picking up since they're on sale right now?
yes 🎉
Yeah, I'd say
Oh, forgot to say thanks. Thanks Wolfo!
hi guys, i am need advice about alt mines on a engineer, how did unlock them? what tactic?
I'm experiencing an issue where specifically my music is cutting out for a second or two every few seconds, does anyone know the cause or the fix?
if you play on drizzle with artifact of command and just stack aoe and loop you'll eventually get it
what?
?
which one was that again
is the finish tp with no enemies alive the mines or the harpoon unlock
genuinely dont remember
the first one
wait no
just go on command and get a tricorn

use it stage 1 tp
Or
if you don't have SotV
Hey is there a reason I can't seem to paste images here? Wanted to ask a question with a screenshot
Yeah no image perms so people can't spam or smth
image perms are tied to roles
you have no roles so you dont have image perms
#roles get literally any role
no problem its a relatively common question
This halcyon shrine dropped its item directly inside the green portal, is there any way to interact with it? No mater where I position or aim it just says "Enter Green Portal" lol
well the only way to get it would be trying to position soo
try to get really close to it
it can differ with distance and not just camera position
if you're really quick, you might also be able to hit the portal first and then interact with the fragment before it teleports you
i guess that too
Oh that's a good idea. The time pressure to make the choices though 😅
I got it, just needed this whack angle haha. Thank you
Hi guys im just beginning risk of rain 2 lowk i know games been out for hella long but could someone like show me the basics maybe play a few
Play a few-
if you just want tips we can help out, but if you want to play with someone you can try #lfg-pc-ror2 or whatever platform you're on
if i die as heretic or the heresy bird
do i respawn as my previous survivor if i had a dio bear?
like do i turn back bandit?
No, because transforming into heretic is based on owning all the ability changing lunar items
kk
i assumed it'd work like that but also assumed theres lore reason that doesnt let u respawn as em
So, what do i need for the Mul-Truck build?
I would find a character you like and then win a few runs before you dive too deep
the what now
like, building around transport mode?
I guess to start you'd want afterburner and other cooldown reduction to keep it active, light flux would probably be good since you probably wouldn't care about attack speed anyway
and then more obvious stuff like movement speed and damage multipliers
ngl I've been around this community for years and this is literally the only time I've heard the words "Mul-Truck build", it's not something people usually build around lol
If you're planning to do most of your damage with transport mode then you'd probably also want feathers to reach flying enemies
best loadout would probably be double rebar/retool if you end up using light flux, since retool is mostly unaffected by attack speed I think
or maybe powermode would be better? Both specials can cancel the reload animation on rebar but I'd have to actually try it to see which is better. Probably doesn't matter if you're mostly using transport mode tho
Overall I think you'd basically build it the same way you'd build Loader, but with more movespeed items to boost transport mode's damage
I also discovered hitting enemies with it doesnt count on entering combat
yeah, it's not considered a combat skill for some reason so it won't cancel red whip
guess it would be good for this build
there would probably be better uses for green items tbh
atg or bands would give you another multiplier instead of an additive bonus to speed
is silly with transport mode but it's horrible to control
Voiding should dropped his log when I kill it smh
any guides for Huntress, Seeker, Artificer (I think i found one for this in the pins), Bandit, and Captain?
I can write up a quick summary for each of them if you want, there are guides on youtube but I'd have to watch them to know if they're actually worth recommending or not lol
Is 10 crit glasses enough to crit every hit?
yes
technically you only need 8 or 9 since most other crit-related items give 5% on their first stack
Should I stack sythes?
if you're playing a character that has good proc rate, you shouldn't need more than 1 or 2
I’m playing acrid
it's better to stack attack speed or more proc items, since that'll improve your dps while also indirectly helping scythe by giving more procs
Yeah
(although only AtG would help scythe specifically because sticky doesn't have a proc coef)
Ohh
but you should still get proc items anyway because they're really damn good
like in general
Scythe can help Acrid if you're actually playing him really aggressively, but if not then his best healing items are the usuals
and maybe
Yeah I’m going full Agro with lots of
mkay
might be another good thing to get a stack or two of, it pairs well with scythe and high crit and basically becomes a better version of
, letting you tank small hits while dealing damage back in return

How are you supposed to chase the crabs off the map?
just get close to them, they run away from you
i modded my game then unmooded it and now everytiem i play after the first map i get stuck on the desert map anyone know the fix
I am but he’s not moving
can also work, or a non-damaging knockback move like railgunner mines, but you don't really need them
it should, smack it and see if it wakes up or something
anyone got a solution
Uh my smacks kinda insta kill him
You can try the usual fixes of reinstalling and verifying files, but if that doesn't work then the miscFixes mod should do it iirc. Unfortunately I don't know if there's a reliable way to fix it in vanilla
a few other people have reported that problem but afaik there isn't a known fix
try
, if you can get one ?
And you ARE looking at the right kind of crab, right? The ones that shoot mortars at you?
no idea, they should just run if you get close to them. Maybe that specific one is just stuck somehow, unles it's happening with all of them
How does the charge the teleporter at 10% work do I have to constantly be at 10 or do I just have to press it at 10
just finish it at 10%
easy way to do it is to get to 99%, jump off a cliff to get down to 1hp, then run back and finish it before your health regenerates
Does huntress get a new mastery skin with survivors of the void and if so how do you unlock it?
not with SotV, but seekers of the storm adds one for beating False Son
So I know about Proc Coeffs, but I still don't know how to determine if a Survivor is a Proc, Crit, Burst or Bleed. Maybe I'm thinking too hard
well, crit survivors aren't really a thing, anyone can benefit from crit except railgunner and maybe bandit.
Otherwise it's pretty straightforward, if most of your damage comes from high procs per second with low damage then they're a proc survivor. If they mostly deal damage in large, single hits, then they're burst
most survivors are somewhere on a spectrum between the two, with
and
sorta being the most extreme ends of the spectrum
And to be clear, most proc items deal total damage, meaning it's a % of the hit that procced it. So Everyone can benefit from them, some survivors just prioritize them more than others
bleed is the one thing that's pretty much only useful for proc survivors because it deals fixed damage and needs to be constantly stacked, so a high proc rate is a hard requirement for bleed builds. Burst survivors usually attack too slowly to keep stacks going, and their damage is so high that they'd get more out of a multiplier like crowbar or watch
Yeah for example Chef has high proc but kinda hard to stack Bleed imo
Is there a reason Race likes crit more than usual for Merc?
He doesn't really look for crit on any Survivor except Merc iirc
no idea, merc doesn't have any specific synergy with it
crit is kinda just generally good
He runs default Merc to be clear
still, no reason merc in particular would need crit more than anyone else
the only other thing about crit is that most of the crit synergy items (
) are good on proc survivors, so they do get a little more from it than usual.
But that's not specific to merc, so maybe Race is just weird lol
yeah he plays so much so maybe he just do it for fun at this point
So is Merc a proc Survivor then?
yep, most of his damage is from fast, weak hits
And I should stress again that there isn't really a hard line between proc and burst survivors where you HAVE to build them a certain way. It's more of a general guideline on what items to prioritize
Ah okay, gooot it. it would be helpful. I'm mostly trying to figure out best items to go for each. when i get scapper and 3d printer, i really dont know what needs to be scrapped and what should be used to get from the 3d printer
Or like when the triple option chest if there, i dunno which ones i should be grabbing lol
mkay, gimme a bit
though as an easy general rule, pretty much anything that multiplies damage in some way is almost universally good, either with direct multipliers like crit or
etc., or total damage procs like

and it's best to mix different items rather than stacking a handful of "optimal" items, because items tend to multiply each other's effects (especially damage items)
ah okay sounds good thank you
oh yeah, are you aware of stuff like proc coefficient and the difference between proc and burst survivors?
Anyone know what’s the minimum for fighting voidling?
minimum what
Items
you'll at least want good mobility and a way to heal, and ideally have really good damage
I’ve never beaten voidling and am horrible at item choices, so could I have an example please?
It's sorta hard to give specifics since you can fight voidling at basically any point in a run, and it'll depend on your survivor and how good at the game you are
but you'll want enough movement speed and vertical movement to consistently dodge the beam attack and homing missiles, and get through the parkour sections without dying. Idk what the exact amounts would be, probably at least like 4-5 goat hooves and a hopoo feather (or equivalent).
Healing should be enough to quickly get you back to full health, a few stacks of wungus or medkit will usually be enough
damage is the hard one to quantify, you really just want as much single-target dps as you can get. When in doubt, stack a bunch of different total damage procs and damage multipliers. (Or just be Acrid and kill him with poison)
Armour piercing or crowbar?
If you're a burst damage survivor then you want both, but I'd say focus on AP rounds
How many loops roughly?
you never wanna go all in on crowbars, because if that first shot doesn't kill, then you have no other damage multipliers. and voidling has such a disgusting amount of health that you probably won't one shot him unless you're already on a completely broken run
What equipment is recommended?
it could probably be done without looping at all, but I'd probably do at least one. If in doubt just go until you feel like you're sufficiently overpowered
Are you online 24-7?
Sleep is for the strong
?
are solid boss killers,
is too but it's kinda hard to get gold in the voidling fight
is great if you can get 100% uptime (4 gestures minimum, or 1 gesture and 3 fuel cells)
if you're building around on-kill items
Seed of Life is good if you're confident in your damage without an equipment but still want some insurance
So, in understand how proc coefficient works, but i'm not sure what the difference between proc and burst survivors are and which survivors are better for procs
If you scroll up a bit I actually explained it to someone else a little earlier, but it's basically just survivors that deal damage through lots of rapid hits vs. slow heavy hitters
ah okay. i see it. so huntress, artificer, seeker, and captain would be proc and bandit burst?
Huntress and Captain are proc, Arti and Bandit are flexible but lean more into burst, and Seeker is just kinda good at everything
The wiki also lists some notable synergies for each survivor, if that helps https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg/wiki/Survivors
Survivors are the various playable characters available in Risk of Rain 2, each with their own unique abilities. Players start with only the Commando and Huntress available, and can unlock the rest by accomplishing various Challenges. Survivors are known as such due to the result of a space-bound catastrophe, although in RoR2 the case is rev...
And admittedly, splitting characters into just proc or burst is oversimplifying them a little, it's just a loose way to categorize what they're good at, not a hard rule for how they should be built
How can I find a Scavenger?
loop
or go to sundered grove but it's pretty rare to find one there pre-loop
30+ minutes on Monsoon usually gets you a natural* Scavenger on Sundered Grove pre-loop
yeah ik that's the time cutoff but even then scavs cost so many credits to spawn that it has to be basically the first thing it chooses for the initial pool
Hi! I'm a returning player from console, and instead of sticking to playing Acrid, I've been trying to play some Mercenary instead. Does anyone have any tips when it comes gameplay, items, etc? Thank you!
your primary skill's third hit has a lingering hitbox BOUND TO YOU (e.g. you move, it moves) so you can use that in combination with your ultility (3rd skill) to inflict Expose to enemies farther than your reach and profit on that sweet sweet cooldown cutout
your alternative special skill has a ~1s foreswing before it finally shoots so account for that too when you aim (especially for flying mobs)
Does Crit affect Poison?
no
there's a link to a detailed merc guide in the pins
it's a little old but still pretty accurate, I think the only thing that's changed is that the slam tech no longer works
Hi does anybody know what the 2 bottom locations are in the 8th page of the environment logbook? I would send a screenshot but I am unable to
thank you
does anybody know what those 2 locations are?
I think those are the other variants of bulwark's ambry that SotS adds
ohh I see, since I dont go there a lot I never noticed much difference lol. Thanks!
What's left in the game to do when you've fully completed the logbook andgot the golden E8 badge?
Sometimes runs can open themselves up by just starting something, that you've never done before
Some odd build that shouldn't work but just does
With that much completion you have enough skill to add wiggle room to bad builds and just mess around, have fun
Actually, that's a very good suggestion. Thanks!
I got relatively consistent at e8 and then once I was bored of base mithrix I resorted to mods
recommended client side quality of life mods? [ i got looker glass and qol chest]
propersave is nice to have, #ror2-modding can probably recommend more
ty
Wtf slam no work? I thought I was just rusty, how long has this been gone?
not sure when exactly it got patched out, but it was probably part of the physics changes that came with SotS
Mmmmmmmm I see
HOW DO I NOT GET DISTANT ROOST AS SPAWNING ON MERC, ITS BEEN LIKE 9 TIMES IN A ROW
best possible start
Can I launch ror2 if it's on a USB stick?
Yes
Disable DLCs to increase your chances
how is making distant roost more common going to make it appear less
thank you very much
Is there a downside to corrupted items they seem kinda broken to me
you cant get the original and they cant be scrapped
but they are meant to be strong so like yeah usually worth getting
green
thanks
What wolfo said but try to stay away from
and
on most characters
alright
I got the lense but I didn't get much normal glasses anyway
and is there any benefit in exploring the prime meridian or do I just rush straight to the boss ?
There are 4 big chests
And if you activate all the beacons, you get an item in the area under the boss
ok thanks
This is one of the missing ones.
"Open cloaked chest" im sorry what when did this exist
Ive never in my life seen a cloaked chest
yeah they're invisible
Thats actually crazy sauce I've never once heard of them or interacted with it
yeah they've always been a thing
basically the only ways to find them are randomly walking over them or looking for the teleporter interactable cage thing
but the second one is less reliable after sots bc now the cages just appear over absolutely nothing sometimes lmao
And using the radar scanner
all of them. They're literally just normal chests that are invisible and open for free
Cheaper to spawn as well I believe
so i bought the survivors of the void dlc and im wondering what things does it add/change to the game?
i know there are some items and maps and i've even encountered a large purple half orb that does damage to me while im inside but i don't know its purpose
Items, maps, enemies mainly. The large purple orb is called a void seed, you must kill the amount of void enemies listed on the top right to break it and access the interactables inside
i dont think that is how that works
I did not read the "not"
Also a new final boss
Can you still pillar skip with thunder gauntlet?
You can pillar skip with loader on any loadout
Alright thanks :3
I suck at Loader Mithrix
😭 holy shit it was going so well but I can't help but greed
Any tips
Grapple into punch works for hit and run
You can punch past him and land out of range
Your default m1 isn't too rewarding anyhow
It's kinda uncomfy on controller
Also I prefer thunder gauntlet so the window is smaller
Alright
You could probably rebind, if something else is easier
But grapple and punch have the same cooldown, she was built for doin that
Too much effort for a character I bearly even play !W;
I guess
I've always had the feeling that loader just wasn't built for console
Especially with her base charge punch
She's very high speed, console will always struggle as you get faster
Mostly camera things
An unfortunate limitation of the joystick, but makes it more accessible and portable
Yea
Also when grappling before punching you don't have a option to stop your velocity from what I've seen
Backup mag actually makes her feel playable with base charge punch
Im not sure i understand that one, grappling before punching with no option to stop
You could grapple in front of an enemy to stop before them, but you wouldn't want to since punch scales with speed
Whenever I grapple while charge punching when I hit the enemy I then get flung alot of distance and it's just really annoying having to walk slowly back
if you angle the punch downward, you'll hit the ground and won't slide as far
Oh that, you have downtime until your cooldown is done to reposition, can punch down, or use thunderslam
or just don't let go of the grapple so you immediately spring back towards them
😭 my brain never thinks of that
You'll have to wait a little longer on the cooldown though, if you stay attached while your punch lowers you'll be in that weird orbit state
Yea
Idk I mean obviously I can always use her easier punch but
Apparently she's incredibly busted with her base kit which I don't understand
Because she feels so terrible to play
But with her easy punch (alt) she feels like how people describe her
But alt punch is the worst one? 😭 I feel like I'm missing out
What do you struggle with on default kit?
Getting launched into the air with no way to stop it
Hence why backup mag makes her more fun because she has another hook right after to stop velocity
But obviously you can't get mag every run so
That's part of the good part, if anything, but generally you can solve that by thinking of what angle you'll be at when you come out of an enemy
But loader with no items can cross the entire map with one hook into punch
Yea
It's fun when not in combat but
It's so annoying when in combat y'know?
controlling the angle is kinda just something you have to practice
although I imagine it is a lot harder on console
Punching earlier too, can make you hit the enemy later and not fly away
It is
I don't have the brain to suddenly switch my punch angle into the ground with controller
Like less charge or further away?
I'd wonder if aim assist also makes you go higher, which could be annoying
Releasing from further
You never have to release point blank
I guess but
Isn't she more powerful when at point blank?
Idk I kinda have no idea how the speed = power thing works
Like in terms of how fast
nah, you don't lose speed while actively punching
it directly converts her current velocity to damage
iirc it's +30% base damage per m/s
and the angle DOES matter, if you're swinging one way and then turn and punch in the opposite direction, it's basically the same as punching from a standstill
learning when to release your grapple can help, to always go the angle you want
I see
I usually just release when facing the enemy directly, meaning I go flying but
I always just thought that was more damage than facing into the ground?
from a topdown for example, releasing while swinging in an arc around a pillar can do this instead of orbiting
this can gain more speed than just the ground in front of an enemy, and easier than hitting the enemy itself if it's fast
nah, punching downward wouldn't affect it, as long as you're moving roughly in that direction
if you haven't seen this, I recommend it https://youtu.be/zeRRJGfzuSw only 5 minutes and covers all the important stuff
Hey guys, I hope this video helps. Here are the timestamps

Thank you :) I gotta go now but
I'll try loader out base kit (except pylon I get I can grapple onto it but thunderslam is funner)
loader gets crazy strong once you really get good at her movement (clip courtesy of Jazzboat, no way I could do this shit lol)
is diablo for captain able to be sped up? and if so, best items for it?
nope, it always takes 20 seconds to drop
will void fiend get unlockable new abilities? like everyone else
we don't know, but probably not
Any tips for the commando ? I tried some other character and they all felt way stronger than him for some reasons
its because commando is honestly kinda mid.
Ok fair enough
yeah, commando's definitely on the weaker end, especially if you're comparing him to seeker and railgunner
unlocking his alt skills does help tho
I guess I will drop him after beating the false son
tbh the best way to get better at Commando is really just to get better at the game as a whole. He works decently well with most items (mainly procs) but he's so basic that any tips for him would just be general gameplay tips that apply to pretty much every survivor
Well any general tips then ?
Im really new I played like 10 hours
full loot stages as efficiently as you can and try to memorize stage layouts so you can get around quickly without backtracking. A good rule of thumb is to get all the loot from a stage and leave with more items than minutes, but it's ok to spend time on stuff like printers and scrappers.
learn enemy sound cues and attack patterns so you can dodge them consistently (protip, like 90% of enemies can be avoided just by strafing or jumping)
learn what items do and how they synergize with each other, and which ones to prioritize depending on your survivor and build. In general, Damage>Speed>Healing/Defense
I wasn't paying attention and though the layouts were randomly generated
And by speed do you mean mouvements in general or just speed ?
stages do have small variations like the doors on distant roost randomly being open or whatever, but the overall layouts are fixed
Alright
anything that gives mobility, so mainly movement speed but stuff like
work too
Ok
And how much harder does the game get over time ?
Like is that a big deal to take too much time or not ?
dont worry about time that much
as long as you keep collecting items and aren't wasting time, you can keep up pretty easily
usually the items you get from full looting outscale the difficulty timer
Alright
ok outscale is not a good word for that i feel like
So I full clear anyway
yeah
np
If chatGPT wrote it then it's pretty likely to be extremely wrong lol
I'm already noticing some stuff that's really far off lmao
dammit
this is why we use link checkers
no idea what that is
oh well,
yeah, it's probably faster to list all of the things it got right lol
like, it's telling you to scrap void items, which you literally can't even do
oh whoops
...and it thinks shuriken is a void item apparently
well dang, i'll just trash it lol
that would probably be best, AI doesn't know shit about games (or much of anything tbh)
Ai can help with a very small amount of things... video games are not one
mmmmm. okay well dang.
hard to find the info for the things i was asking it tho, but i guess thats just how it is
I Got this game like a week ago. How does the whole multiplayer work, I'm on Xbox And how do the codes work?
Multiplayer works peer to peer, and not cross-platform
The codes can be copied and used to join other jobbies as a way of making private lobbies
Ohhhhhh thx
the wiki is your friend, and we can help if there's anything specific you wanna know
I mainly just get confused on which items to keep/trash/most important items to look for.
it doesnt help that the game doesnt tell you what the item does before buying like at the triple chest where i can only see the icons
there's actually a setting for that, turn on 'enable inspect' in settings, under that umbrella settings thing
I really wish that was on by default
yeah, I even made a feedback post about it a while back but it never happened
It's a recent feature too, up until about a year ago you needed to install mods if you wanted better item descriptions
also if you want a quick list of stuff that's nearly always scrap:

(red and boss printers are super rare so it might be worth it to hang onto em since the scrap will probably be useless, but if you've got better items that you don't wanna risk losing, it's safe to get rid of those)
...let's not share ai generated garbage here
and red cauldrons are decently common on prime meridian and commencement, so you may get some use out of red scrap near the end of a run
got it, thnx
I guess the hard part is since drops are so randomized, you kinda just have to use what you get and know enough on what synergizes adn what doesnt with which survivor and i'm kinda struggling with that now.
yeah, and that's something that does come with experience
but builds are also a lot more flexible than you might think. Items are kinda designed with the randomness in mind, so you can usually put together something that works with whatever random junk the game gives you
that exists? and here I am using lookingglass to ping for item descriptions lmao
not that i would ever stop using lookingglass
in fact, mixing a bunch of things together is pretty much always better than just having stacks of a handful of "optimal" items
yep, it got added when sots came out
Any tips for Merc? :)
What’s the best way to do a skin run?
got it, i'll just keep playing around with it
#ror2-game-questions message merc guide
side question, how in gods name are we supposed to unlock Huntress' Ballista? Lots of build online are recommending it and i've tried, but dear lord its annoying
well, command/sacrifice/swarms if you wanna make it easy
otherwise you don't really need to do anything special, just play monsoon
Mithrix?
i personally just played monsoon and went to false son to get the mastery and prime meridian skins at once since i started playing after sots
you still have to be on monsoon to get mastery skins, regardless of what ending you get
I also have some tips for mithrix in the pins
Pins?
you do have to git gud at least a little bit, but artifact of glass or
make it a lot easier, also stacking some
since taking damage to barrier doesn't fail the challenge.
The wiki also has some more info on it https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg/wiki/Huntress:_Piercing_Wind
Huntress: Piercing Wind is a challenge in Risk of Rain 2. It is completed as Huntress by starting and finishing either Rallypoint Delta or Scorched Acres without falling below 100% health.
little pin icon in the top right, or if you're on mobile you have to tap the bar at the top iirc
I got luck and found an ageis on stage 2
Ok
gooot it ill take a look
Thanks @lavish jacinth
oh yeah, and it doesn't necessarily have to be stage 3, just those maps. So you can also get it by looping until you're overpowered enough to do it without even trying
np
oooooh okay i havent gotten that far enough to loop yet
That's not lucky
I think they mean red scrap
@edgy gulch ?
I’m having trouble understanding what Acrid's Poison benefits from. For example I don't think you get heals from Leeching Seed with Poison
nope, DoTs never proc anything
but it gets boosted by direct damage multipliers like watch or ap rounds
or damage vulnerability from death mark and shattering justice and stuff
it also does a minimum of 1% of the target's health per second, so it essentially scales by itself even without multipliers
So besides huge benefit from AOE like Gas, just build like any other Survivor?
yeah
You don't really care about the dmg of the ability itself right? You can't really build to fight Mithrix
I mean, it does matter, damage is damage. And the direct hits are able to proc, just not the poison DoT
if you specifically wanted to build for mithrix then
would be the way to go
but Acrid is one of the less item-reliant survivors in the game because poison is so consistent, plus he has decent built-in mobility and a little bit of healing
...he's also a survivor that can be incredibly lazy if you want, you can literally just run in circles and let poison do most of the work lol.
Playing him aggressively is more fun but it's technically optional
Is this true for any DoT like Bleed?
yep
damage-multiplying items affect ANY damage you deal, as long as it meets the condition for that item
they're also multiplicative with each other, so
+
+
would deal more damage than
+
+
even though they're all +20% damage, with the tradeoff that you have to satisfy 3 different conditions at once
This may be me but i have absolutely negative idea of how ror2 works
Ive played roguelikes before, tried to watch a few guides, but Im struggling to understand the lack of minimap, the ginormous maps with minuscule movement speed
Synergies will just come by themselves with time but those 2 things i do not understand
I mean, there isn't a lot to understand, really. The maps are big but the layouts are consistent aside from some small variations, so you can learn the layout and come up with a route around the stage that'll let you full-clear stages quickly
and honestly the maps don't really feel that big once you get used to them
yeah they're not actually that big lol. they can look kind of 'tall' but there's not a lot to most of them
I mean, i tried i think its stage 6, where you fight mister dude, and it took me like 5 minutes to get from one side to the other
This is on drizzle, dont know if it matters
...you are sprinting, right?
Yeah, and spamming dash
commencement is big but even at base movement speed it shouldn't take 5 minutes to get through it, unless you get stuck fighting enemies
Maybe i just got lost
maybe
50 minutes a run to die to mister guy is kinda sad
and if you're full clearing stages (which you should be doing btw, don't rush stages) then you'll probably find some speed items, unless you're horribly unlucky
honestly that's pretty normal if you're new
Yeah, i saw that on some non guide videos because most guides are like 17 years old
roguelikes just be like that
yeah, if any guide suggests the "Five minute rule", ignore it lol
it's a super old meta that carried over from ror1 and hung around a lot longer than it probably should have
I saw, classic pre-datamine to post-datamine type thing
There were some specifics i heard i hsve no idea what they meant tho
"I didnt like X boss item so i went for the green"
What that mean
uhhh I don't know either lol
like, teleporter bosses have a chance to drop a boss item, and boss items range from god-tier to complete garbage, so sometimes a green item would be preferable depending on the boss
but there's no way to "go for" a green item
unless maybe they were talking about
? but that's still a weird way to phrase it
Hmmm i may have misunderstood then
And the last one was about this whole looting thing, do people on run 1 just get the same amount of items?
Or do i just have less dice rolls essentially?
if i do not enter the void locus portal when it appears can it still appear on a later stage from rng?
Idk how the credit system works so yea
yeah
sooorta, the exact amount of loot you can get per stage is random, but it tends to average out to similar amounts of items per loop
Oh okay, less variety due to unlocks, but you can technically get the same amount then
On average
generally yeah. If you're full clearing you can probably expect to have like 60-70ish items by the end of stage 5
Oh okay ive just been missing a casual 50 items i guess
if you're on stage 5 with 10 items then yeah, you're not looting nearly enough lol
Yeah, i mean, ive gotten 10x crit glasses and a few other things, but i think im getting around 20 or so items by stage 5
Tbf that run had like 6 turrets so yeahh
yeah that's pretty low
gunner turrets would use up interactable credits so you'd get fewer chests, but not by THAT much
Don't be afraid to spend more time exploring and looking for loot
difficulty only affects how fast enemies scale, and your health regeneration (which barely matters because healing items and drones exist, and most of them aren't affected by it)
but the amount of chests and stuff you get doesn't change
Alright so just go max diff, loot faster, lot it all, wham bam
yep
Also theres a few mods im concerned with, mainly whatever the heck save and the did you get every chest reminder, are these bannable, flagable so you cant do multiplayer anymore, anything like that
ironically, looting is actually faster on the highest difficulty, because enemy spawn rates ramp up faster
Lol makes sense
nope, mods are totally allowed.
Only thing is that if you have a mod that isn't client-side, you can only play with people who also have that same mod
Oh so like minecraft
Okay im glad this isnt like bloond td6 in which you can lose access to multiplayer forever if you play with mods lmao
multiplayer hosting is peer2peer, there aren't like official servers that you could get banned from
Oh
Im so intrigued that everything seems to be p2p
I remember playing minecraft snd having to watch an hour of tutorials back in 2015, now you just press multiplayer
the jank hamachi setup
in this case I think it's just due to the game originally being developed by like 3 people, they didn't have the resources for official servers and never expected the game to be popular enough to need em, lol
Those were the times man
I honestly prefer it, lower latencies due to same region etc
And the modding stuff
and they can't shut down the servers so that everyone has to buy risk of rain 3 lmao
Also ive heard about dlc, my friend said "once i play with him i should get it" what does that mean lol
although it would be nice if gearbox finally added some improvements to how multiplayer works, it's kinda bare bones
Why so?
do the void bombs dropped by killing enemies in the void locus oneshot you regardless of skills? i made the mistake of grabbing two of the lunar items that shrink the teleporter size so i’m currently struggling
I heard you can loot steal tf out of your friends
you'll see once you try it, multiplayer tends to feel less like co-op and more like a bunch of singleplayer runs happening at the same time
yeah, the explosions are always an instant kill and they ignore iframes. The only thing that dodges them is
and void fiend's dash
even through safer spaces and dio’s?
yup
well shit
those two dashes only work because they completely remove your hitbox instead of making you invincible
so the implosion literally can't hit you
dunno what they meant exactly but the dlc's are worth getting if you like the game
if your friend has them, then you'll be able to try out most of the dlc content by playing with him, except for characters
or you could play prismatic trials, they also have dlc content unlocked so they're sorta like a free trial of the dlc
I see
Question does the false son thing have to be done on normal difficulty to get him
any difficulty works
How good are both bands, just unlocked them
Very very good
On the level of ATG if not better
They're essentially if ATG always procced on 400%+ damage attacks but had a 10s cooldown
One is AoE and one is single target + slow
the exact level of power is character dependent but they're always at least pretty decent extra damage
Hello. Just started playing this week, and currently learning huntress. About the game timer, does it matter if I activate the teleporter and spawn the boss asap during Easy (given I already have a decent items equipped)? Or should I prioritize clearing the whole map first?
Also when you guys say “clear”, that means just getting all the items in the map right?
In my runs, I typically prioritize getting as many items as I can first. I try to get an item per minute or at least have the same amount of items with how many minutes has passed for example have 4 items at 4 minutes. Just know so you know if you complete the tp early enemies will stop spawning once you complete it so you won't get extra gold if you need it after the tp.
Yeah in general full looting is always better than trying to keep up with time
Unless you're doing REAAALLLY bad on time and are at like 90 minutes by stage 5
I… I haven’t reached stage 5 yet. 😂 thank you both for the tips!
What unlocks are the best to go for? Played the game for about 800 hours and lost my save so for funzies seeing how much I can get in one run
Well the most ever was 91 or 96. There's a video on that
Idk tho I'd say u go for characters the deaths and all the relics
Fair enough then I kinda have a plan now
why is he healing here, i looked at his items on the wiki and there is no reason he should be randomly healing to full over and over
Are u playing honor?
dont even know what that is so im gonna assume not
Cause if he has elite shields than that will let him heal
It's a relic
a relic?
monster tooth
Ty wolfo also is it relic or is it a different word
yeah i know he has monster tooth but hes not killing anything
I can't sleep so thinking is hard
why is his monster tooth randomly activating
he shoots some yellow goo at the ground and then the monster tooth activates like 30 times
i just let him kill me cause idk hes so far at the edge of the map that when i try to fight him it teleports me back to the middle
but does anyone have any clue why he would randomly get a ton of monster tooth healing for no reason?
that's how scavs work they activate on kills
yeah but hes literally not killing anything
you can see it in the clip theres not a soul within 30 miles
Scavs just do that
Ya thier secondary activates on kills
I forgot about that thanks again wolfo ur awesome
fmp is very fun and awesome
you're breaking my brain here
so the scavenger's secondary ability is to activate on kill effects?
Yes
There is an equipment that does that too. That's what I was trying to say
i dont know about that equipment lol ive got like maybe half the stuff unlocked
probably less
no ur good man i just dont know much and it's a hard thing to explain
I've been trying to sleep for 2 hours but I'm still pumped on adrenaline
So that doesn't help
i would would have been much more confusing in your position lol
Lol
I mean I used relics which is mb I didn't know how far u were
As an earlier example
K I'm sorry
what is a relic?
My brain isn't braining
It's something u can unlock. At the end of the challenges in the logbook it will have a page for them
They make the game different
oh the artifacts
ive got the one you get by finding the thingy
The thingy?
the code right next to the nine shapes
theres actually a code on the scavenger i fought i should probably go do that
do all of em have a code on their bodies?
I don't think so
I also didn't do most of my artifacts traditionaly
So I'm not the greatest one to ask for that
Ya I gotchu.
ive learned that scavengers are stupid enemies
actually ive got one more question for you
What's up
ive cleared a rainstorm with all the non dlc characters, and idk what to do next. i did a monsoon with engineer, and i did a couple other monsoon runs, but i feel like the runs take forever just for them to feel very similar?
like the items become so strong they vastly overshadow the uniqueness of the character
is how it feels
Yes that's the thing with looping
everyone will be boring so far into the game
I'd say try to get all characters to eclipse 8
what is that
That's pain itself I haven't even beaten a monsoon
pick engineer and full loot every stage
tedious but you cannot lose
Ya my brain doesn't do that Lol. I play loader for zoomies
And I play sacrifice swarming lol
i dont understand what that means but im gonna assume it means you're jacked and handsome and cool
Loll I doubt anyone u ask other than my girlfriend will say that about me lol
Do you have all the characters unlocked?
other than the dlcs yeah, havent bought them yet
gonna play the shit out of silksong and then once i am done with that i will return to this game
and do the dlc stuff
My buddy 106%ed it in 2 weeks
Like first touched the game 2 weeks ago leading up to ss
that's awesome lol
ive seen a bunch of people last minute playing through hollow knight to prep for silk song
What it means is I like to pretend to be spider man and kill things with momentum and direction
Ya it's supposed to be a game of the year contender
Magnitude*
yeah loader is a lot of fun, one of the more unique feeling characters to me
same with mercenary, hes probably my favorite so far
That's why I love playing her lol
Idk why I just can't get the hang of mercs kit
And he doesn't feel the same as loader lol
Also I grind prismatic trails so there's that. I'm one of the ones who prefer loader to Merc in that
they definitely feel very different, and as far as getting a hang of his kit it's definitely unique, idk just try different ways to combo your abilities and hit the blue circle thing
expose
you too man have a nice night, hope you get some decent sleep
Ik prismatic trails isn't super competitive but I'm still pumped on adrenaline so we will see if I get any sleep
I somehow got wr
Agreed sleep good man
hell yeah dude
Thank God cabbage showed me the tech
I would've failed without it
Cause I needed to save like 30 seconds
K no more
It's sleep time have a good one
oh yeah i got mercenaries special unlock thanks to that dude
the goat
you too
you give it your equipment and it'll use it as its weapon
and it has 80% equipment cooldown reduction built in
can you change the equipment
card is completely useless on it though
only if it dies
if you can get it killed it'll lose the one it's holding and you can give it a new one
they're really good with the right items
are great on them, very roughly in that order
are also good but only if you have
What’s the best way to keep the game from lagging? Just stay away from too many effects like fireworks?
I’m about to do a really long ass run later tonight and don’t want to crash
Lower graphics settings and download the propersave mod. Probably the best method
I am unfortunately on console otherwise yeah I would
Prioritize instant damage over more projectiles then along with the lowered graphics
I lost my 800 hour save so for funzies doing one run where I unlock every character and item I can
Fair enough so yeah not much other than just don’t get spammy shit like fireworks or just scrap when I can
One graphics setting will get rid of some projectiles due to rendering but idk which
Ik I can get rid of exp and money but after that I think console is kind of slim pickings
I’ll check when I’m off work and just have hopes and prayers ig
Amount of corpses on the map can be reduced as well
Go through each setting and see what you can reduce
Fair enough so really is just that and then don’t have a bunch of spammy shit
Not much else you can do without mods
Also there a good way to guarantee the stage you unlock Rex on? Or just rng and popping bazar stage 3?
Because tried a few times now and I’ll finally make it to bazar stage 3, not get the portal for Rex’s stage then just not get the stage
Fair enough then
Bazaar is the only way to garuntee it
is there an end to simulactum or is it really endless?
It’s called the endless mode for a reason
Even god faces the end
So hopes and prayers bazar the bazar has the option to select it, well about all I figured but worth a try asking
Do the black holes from Zoea also kill you even though its an ally?
Yes
im trying to play multipayer with my friend but any time the person who GOT invited joins it just shows a horizon in space that never goes away and we have to just restart our game
assuming you're both on steam, make sure you both have crossplay disabled
any clue what dying by “the planet” is? i was having a solid run before getting butchered by nothing i could see
Usually a status or fall damage or when the game cant tell what killed you
Do you guys think alloyed collective will add crossplay
No
Crossplay isnt coming unless they scrap half the multi-player code
is the survivor getting revealed new or the returning one
i have no clue
its the all new one
Is the game way harder without any dlcs?
When today is the trailer coming? Any link?
Not WAY harder but still a bit harder without dlc
if your askin because you wanna play ror2, you dont need the dlc's to enjoy the game
I have 80 hours already
I see some videos of ppl playing with both dlcs and they get strong so easily
both DLCs introduce very strong items and don’t add a lot that makes the game more difficult
basically the strong outweighs what makes you weak
Yea that sounds right
Any ideas when we think alloyed collective is coming to console
it’ll likely be the same time as the PC release as the codebases are aligned now. That is to say, sometime later this year but we don’t know exactly when
We will know in 2 hours
It will happen at the same time
is there gonna be a mac silicon native version
Are the new survivors only getting mastery skins like last DLC
Do the developers have plans to port the game to Mac? I think even the less powerful Macs would be able to run the game quite well
what mac do you have?
How do you dodge the giant beam that false son uses in his second phase?
You just have to get behind cover
What are engineer best items? I like this dude a lot but I'm struggling to survive once one of my turrets is gone
bungus
bleed and proc is good
some attack speed is also useful
are you playing with artifacts? or are you doing eclipse or something
I always prioritize mushrooms, daggers, and 3 ukeleles. Thing is enemies get too strong and they do more damage than my turrets can heal themselves
also what skills do you have unlocked
ah ok
I play on the 3rd difficulty
do you have any dlcs?
All of them
ok cool
so you want to build survivability ideally. stuff like safer spaces, opal, warped echo is good synergy with bungus too
power elixir works pretty well with turrets early game
What's the order of items after like 10 mushrooms?
and then for damage you mostly need attack speed and proc items, like uke, atg, get a runic lens (red item) if you can
it doesn't really matter, but balance it between getting 1 survivability item, then 1 damage OR utility item
engi has no mobility so you'll want some heef or NRG drinks for movement speed too
oh okay got it
good luck 👍
what if I get cornered with the bosses at the portal, do I just stay with my turrets and survive?
just run and find a better spot like you would with any other survivor, it's fine if you need to sacrifice your turrets
you can build more turrets, you can't rebuild yourself

along with stuff that's generally good like procs and speed
you definitely don't need 10 lol
like 3 is fine, or even just 1 if that's all you can get. You can help your turrets survive by positioning them better, usually you want them on high ground in spots where enemies won't reach them easily (or clip them into a wall, if you're feeling cheesy)
oh and protip, unlock his alt secondary and utility as soon as you can
do prayer beads give more if you scrap them all at once? or can i put one in and still get the same
if i give an equipment drone a trophy hunters tricorn do they get infinite boss one shots? or does it just not work
I presume its just a one time use like normal
it'll just use it on the first boss it aggros on and then become an ahoy drone
Will drifter be added in the new ror2 dlc?
pretty sure it's better to scrap them all at once
assuming you already have some levels saved up
possibly, but they'd be a weird choice considering they weren't even in ror1
yeah as much as I want pilot the rorr original characters seem kinda unlikely to be brought back
What’s the most I should stack focus crystal
♾️
can you not go past level 94?
Nope
how do I make the early game suck less
I don't mean early onto a run, I mean early into a profile, like, watchless type shi
play for fun ig
winning is fun
if you had your file wiped for some reason you can use the realercheatsunlocks mod to unlock everything
if you need certain items to win then you should play better
wdym
learn the game
I recommend playing casually and if you notice items are still locked take a look at what achievement unlocks them
i've been playing casually , are watches exclusesive to dlc?
sotv, yes
:(
Items are special collectibles that spawn while playing the game.
Players can pick items up to gain a special effect based upon what type of item it is. Each item's icon also has a colored border to indicate its rarity:
Some items need to be unlocked by completing a Challenge to appear in game. Pick up an item to unlock its logbook entry.
There...
dont worry, plenty of items better than watch anyways lal
if there is a symbol on the name its dlc
nevermind then, I do have all greys
watches are usually great but one bad mood and whoopsie
