Btw if you are using spiked fist on loader I would refrain from picking up breaching fin. Breaching fin makes spiked fist proc bands

devout lichen
#

TY, but rn im just using loader to speed through stuff for logs, gonna reset once i search this stage

hidden compass
#

ive been seeing in runs these blue things with spikes around them, and i offer a lunar coin to them and it says a blue orb appears, what does it mean? ive never noticed anything happen when i do it.

ive been there once in a multiplayer run and i didn't know how so there will just be a blue portal near the teleporter once i start it up and i can enter it?

Nope. we're all dead

sterile frigate

having a problem, cant figure out how to connect with a ps5 user, im on pc?

steady stone
#

You can't, crossplay is between epic and steam

sterile frigate
#

the hell? the website says it supports full crossplay even lists pc players as able to play with console players

Anyone got tips for beating the game with the false son on monsoon?

PlayStation 4/5: The game can be played on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, enabling cross-platform play with other consoles and PC users.

this website has lied to you

steady stone

yeah that's just like, wrong, its probably an ai generated article tbh

dusky raven
#

This is categorically untrue, ai slop

reddit normally has good answers for that stuff, if you google whether a game is crossplay

I mean for the future, I'd just check the official steam page

steam should let you refund with no questions, but best of luck with the console!

If you don't see this, there's no crossplay

REX is one of my top 4 favorite survivors, why do most people not like him?

(the other 3 being engi, cap, and bandit)

He actually has great mobility, it jsut takes skill to us e his utility properly

Returns arti is more just jank to play iirc
Like pre-p3 false son

but yeah that's kinda how I remember it, her kit was weird to use but I think technically good

although I remember some jank with her primary doing way less damage than it was supposed to or something

In Rorr tho? Yeah

lilac wolf

alr

lavish jacinth

the 2% corruption that he gains from a crit will outweigh the small amount lost from scythes' flat healing, so long as you don't stack a bunch of them

terse anvil
#

is crit goggles good on bandit? I know he already has guarenteed crits from the back but the goggles could give him crits from any direction, also does fire rate affect his load speeds?

steady stone
#

crit goggles do have a use especially on his revolver from the front, but may prove less useful than normal and you might have a time where you want to scrap and print something else
as for fire rate, yeah, attack speed scales his reload

terse anvil
steady stone
#

crowbar is good with his revolver, but his shotgun will find less value

#

in general he's pretty good with proc, since his primary hits rapidly and pretty hard, and the revolver can hit really rapidly or insanely hard depending on which one

spice jungle
terse anvil
#

2 questions, can damage over time crit and if so can harvesting sythe still heal?

lost saddle
#

is lunar stakes good

#

or at least some what good, even if its only decent ill still play with it

fallen bridge
#

stakes are arguably a bit better than spikes since you can get 3 ruin per stake

lost saddle
#

okok very good thank you

short bolt
#

What’s should I be doing in monsoon

#

I stand around boxes until I get enough coins for it then go around and do the boss for every stage

#

But I keep losing my runs

lost saddle
#

keep trying till you dont lose your run

#

maybe try different survivors

fallen bridge
#

full looting & prioritising dmg & mobility items over dmg mitigation/healing, focus on dodging dangerous hits, try to build around your survivor's kit ... they are fairly general tips that can be applied in places other than monsoon

short bolt
#

What should I be doing for commando for example?

fallen bridge
#

leaning into on-hit procs mainly (bleeds/other base dmg procs too), he gets a lot of value from a majority of items

short bolt
#

So like these C_Gasoline C_TriTipDagger

fallen bridge
#

not really crowbar, none of commando's attacks deal too much dmg so he gets more value from other dmg multipliers C_Delicate_Watch C_ArmorPiercingRounds C_LensMakersGlasses etc

short bolt
#

Ohhh ok

fallen bridge
#

"proc items" moreso refer to C_StickyBomb U_AtG_MissileU_UkuleleR_SentientMeatHook etc

short bolt
#

So I wanna get those and if I see a 3d printer I should get those

fallen bridge
#

to some extent yes, atg & sticky stack the best of those & you do not really need more than 1 uke or meathook

#

but procs are much stronger if you diversify them so do not go all into a single proc printer

short bolt
#

So my strategy of just farming by boxes is good?

lavish jacinth

by that point your survivor hardly matters since your items are going to be doing like 99% of the work

pallid mirage
#

How often do you guys get god runs

livid wedge
#

Maybe 1 in 10. Most of the time they're average

pallid mirage
livid wedge
#

Nah, you'll get another one

lavish jacinth
#

the fact that they don't happen often is what makes them a god run

pallid mirage
#

It felt good making my game freeze and lag at times

livid wedge
#

Ye, they shouldn't very frequent

#

Makes them more fun

pallid mirage
#

I guess that what makes them special also what does the leaf clover do

#

I've never gotten it before

lavish jacinth
#

+1 luck, it increases the odds of most chance-based items activating

pallid mirage
#

Is there a certain percent or just guaranteed

lavish jacinth
#

specifically, failed RNG rolls get re-rolled +1 time, so like U_AtG_Missile would effectively have two 10% chances instead of one

livid wedge
#

It's a reroll

mellow crystal
livid wedge
#

It'll never make something guaranteed but it will increase the chance

mellow crystal
livid wedge
#

Also, merely grammar but die is the singular

mellow crystal
livid wedge
#

¯_(ツ)_/¯

pallid mirage
lavish jacinth
#

kinda yeah

livid wedge
#

You literally get another chance to succeed per clover

lavish jacinth
#

it doesn't directly affect the chance of winning

#

but you get more chances to win

#

(the exact way that it works isn't super important though, functionally it does just make random procs more likely)

pallid mirage
#

OHHHHH I get it

livid wedge
#

Yeah, the math is very math. The important info is that it gives better odds

#

And is a good item

lavish jacinth
#

one of the best reds

pallid mirage
lavish jacinth
#

if you do wanna know the math tho, the wiki has all of it https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg/wiki/57_Leaf_Clover

Risk of Rain 2 Wiki

The 57 Leaf Clover is an item in Risk of Rain 2.
The Clover makes random beneficial effects more likely to occur for the holder, and as such is the counterpart to the Purity (which makes beneficial effects less likely to occur). It affects all random effects except Tougher Times.
If a successful proc is not achieved on a roll, it will be roll...

pallid mirage
#

Oh yeah Ben's raincoat is amazing

lavish jacinth
#

....nah....

livid wedge
#

I like it but I know it's one of the not good reds

pallid mirage
livid wedge
#

It not blocking freeze is absolutely dumb

#

Since freeze is a status effect and not a debuff

lavish jacinth
#

it also doesn't do anything to mitigate damage (other than the useless 10% barrier, I guess), it JUST removes a single debuff

livid wedge
#

It could really use a glowup

lavish jacinth
#

V_Safer_Spaces blocks damage AND prevents debuffs, and is a lot more common to get. Braincoat's only advantage is a shorter base cooldown

livid wedge
#

What'd be nice is if it blocked debuffs for like a couple seconds before going on cd

lavish jacinth
#

something like that, yeah

livid wedge
#

Kind of like the scarf from returns

#

Maybe a bit more barrier

#

15 or 20

#

%

#

Not sure how we'd stack it like that, though

#

Without it being super strong

#

Maybe make the cd 10s and additional reduces that by a %

#

I think that would make it playable

lavish jacinth
#

or longer duration but CD stays the same, like how stealthkit used to be

#

actually wait, did pre-rework stealthkit have a cooldown? I don't even remember loll

livid wedge
#

Yeah, but I think I'd rather get it sooner for more barrier again

#

It did not have a cd

#

Only a chance that increased the less health you had

lavish jacinth
#

while we're at it, can we bring back OG stealthkit

livid wedge
#

I think clover actually affected that too, lol

lavish jacinth
#

yeah

#

back when stealthkit was actually good 😔

livid wedge
#

I was just about to post that screen too lol

#

Eh, I like it's current form. It just needs to trigger instead of waiting until everything else to trigger

#

Like, if an elixir triggers, you should also get the stealthkit

lavish jacinth
#

yeah, giving it the lowest priority of the low-health items was just adding insult to injury

livid wedge
#

Same either gloop

lavish jacinth
#

at least gloop is above elixir

livid wedge
#

Uhh

#

It never seems to proc before but maybe I'm not paying enough attention

lavish jacinth
#

I know for a fact that it did, I made a feedback report about it when sotv came out. I'm preeetty sure it still does but maybe something changed with the transmitter rework

livid wedge
#

Fair enough

lavish jacinth
#

either way I miss old stealthkit
it had synergy with out-of-danger items which was cool, and it actually activated often enough to feel useful

oh and rex synergy

The extra-threatening message of "the primordial teleporter aligns with the moon" appears when I enter the 4th area (which usually doesn't matter because I get insta killed by one of those bronze guys if I stand still for more than a second), but I would like to know, does that mean I have to do anything special to find this primordial teleporter, or does it spawn randomly as usual?

#

There was a rather large chasm in the center of the map which I didn't bother going down, instead opting to search the high cliffs, where I found no teleporter. But if the teleporter aligns with the moon, why would it be underground?

lavish jacinth
keen wedge
#

Spoilers

lavish jacinth
#

it can be a little annoying to find since the map is so big, and it emits blue particles instead of the usual orange ones (there's a setting to make the particles easier to see though)

keen wedge
#

Ooh that's what I needed to know, thanks

#

I'll mess around in the settings menu

lavish jacinth
#

it's under that umbrella settings thing on the first page

lavish jacinth
keen wedge
#

I assume the umbrella settings don't affect achievements or anything?

lavish jacinth
#

nah, they're just QoL

keen wedge
#

It's a hole, it's under a lot of ground, what else would it be

lavish jacinth
#

I mean the whole map is way up in the sky, so...

keen wedge
#

I'll check it out next time I slog back there though, thank you

#

Another thing, does item rarity increase as you play runs?

lavish jacinth
#

nope

keen wedge
#

Because I found 2 red items in my most recent one, and I've never seen red ones before

#

That's not exactly true I found happiest mask once

lavish jacinth
#

that's just luck then

#

reds have a 1% chance to spawn from small chests and a 20% chance from large chests and rusted lockboxes

keen wedge
#

Also I found Big Gun Drone, who was a big help

lavish jacinth
#

there's also always a guaranteed red item ||on stage 4, either in a legendary chest that spawns in pre-set spots on Abyssal Depths/Sundered Grove or by beating the secret boss on Siren's Call||

keen wedge
#

I will neglect to read that, for fear of cheapening my game experience

lavish jacinth
#

you'll know it when you find it

#

(probably)

keen wedge
#

Also, blast shower seems terrible

#

Unless there's some enemy I haven't yet encountered that causes extreme disease

lavish jacinth
#

it's very niche, there are a few enemies with nasty debuffs (mostly lategame or in the DLC stuff)

#

but one cool thing about it is that it can also remove the cooldown on certain items

#

if an item has an internal cooldown that appears on your healthbar as a debuff, blast shower will be able to reset it instantly

there's one specific set of items it's really good with but idk if you want that spoiled either lol

keen wedge
#

I do not

#

My favorite aspect of the game so far is certainly that a ukulele is perhaps the best item in the game

lavish jacinth
#

but yeah, outside of very specific builds with those items, blast shower is kinda mid compared to most equipment

pallid mirage
#

Give me the most important bit of information that'll go a long way for ror2

lavish jacinth
#

always full-loot stages, be efficient but don't rush

#

ig that's more advice than information but whatever, it's still probably the most important thing to know

pallid mirage
#

Thing is it's hard not to rush cause I don't want to be super out leveled but I guess by the time you're on the last level the difficulty is either maxed out or about to be

lavish jacinth
#

items will make you stronger faster than the timer can make you weaker, and you'll never outrun the timer no matter how fast you go

#

so full-clearing is overall the best strategy

#

also, difficulty scales with stage count as well as time, so you really do wanna make the most of each stage.
Full looting and getting at least one item per minute is a pretty good rule of thumb but not a hard requirement, it's fine to spend time on stuff like printers

#

learning stage layouts also helps a lot so that you can explore quickly, ideally you want to route it so that you check the whole stage without much backtracking and end up at the teleporter

pallid mirage
#

Thank you and this will be a game changer for me instead of just rushing and missing items all the time

quasi topaz
# opal frigate Hello, I unlocked Captain, Loader, Engineer and artificer, which one of them wou...

Better to put them in an easiest to hardest to use due to skill ceilings and floors.
Frome easiest to hardest to play i would say it goes: engineer, captain, artificer, loader. (Of the ones mentioned)
In terms of "best" they all have their own strengths but when just starting out I would use whats comfortable and then learn as you play. Engineer is by far the easiest to play due to you basically having 3 of him

quasi topaz
hoary sedge
#

also loader is ranked that high bc she has basically the best mobility in the game outside of seeker, and very very high damage potential, but you do need to be pretty familiar with the movement to reach the full extent of the damage

Loader definitely requires a lot of practice to get a handle on her movement

Just got false son, what items should I heavily prioritize other than the health gain items?

lavish jacinth

he slightly leans towards procs due to lunar ruin working really well with them, and his charged slam having a 1.5 coeff if you fall for more than 0.5s. But he also has some decent burst options so you can just use whatever, really

#

his only real antisynergy is L_Transcendence since it removes growth, but he's still really strong even without it

fallen bridge

unfortunately not

lavish jacinth

it's not exactly the same but it does help with their survivability quite a bit, so long as you don't lose your own elixirs

fallen bridge
#

not really a "substitute" since it works great on both turrets

#

i think the question was asking about items to have in place of bungus for mobile turrets

lavish jacinth

I mean yeah, there's nothing that's a 1:1 replacement, but elixir is kinda the next best thing

it would take an unreasonable amount to reach that point

cunning zephyr

lavish jacinth

worth noting that commando does have a weirdly low AS cap on his primary, I think like 24 syringes (which is actually a bug iirc, it should be higher)

cunning zephyr
#

oh

lavish jacinth

skills are also susceptible to rounding issues, since attacks can't be less than a frame long. So sometimes you'll pick up a syringe and it won't do anything, but then the next syringe will be do slightly more than normal. And sometimes those gaps can get really huge

Hello!
I've recently been playing ror2, as railgunner, but im a little lost on the items I should be getting?
Ive tried to follow some tier lists on which items to get first, keep, scrap. but majority of them seem to be all about damage? which makes sense... but I cant stay alive long enough in higher stages.

Does anyone have any ideas/decent websites on items for damage as well as health so i can stay alive as railgunner in higher stages? - Any help appreciated! Twistedscavpat

steady stone
#

the damage items being good is because of "total" damage items, multiplying the damage that is actually being done to the monster (compared to base damage, the base stat) since she hits in hard bursts
an example is ATG, if that proccs, it will do 300% of the damage of the attack that activated it, meaning it will absolutely devastate an enemy
with that, crowbar is a very good item, as many enemies will simply get killed in one hit while above the health threshold

#

in terms of staying alive, you can maintain relatively good mobility by jumping around while shooting, as at the peak of your jump, due to gravity decelerating you, your speed is 0 and wont be moving your cursor around, meaning you can adjust accordingly, and reload while landing

#

your m1 unscoped also propels you ever so slightly, meaning you can stay in the air longer or go higher up if you shoot downwards while going up

#

combining the R skill with the mine can also stack momentum, leading to going all the way to the mithrix arena if done right

glacial knoll
steady stone
#

oh yeah, i guess i latched on too hard to the trouble staying alive part commandosweat

#

the logbook should be able to tell you what's total vs base damage, though, in terms of what damage items like mentioned

#

dont slack on aoe either though, like gas, since youll be overwhelmed if it's truly all damage items

glacial knoll

I'm referring to the items that boost attack speed when doing crit

So by farming enemies you can get money to convert to XP and level up, making your character stronger

#

But as you spend time farming, the difficulty goes up, and enemies become stronger

Artifacts are game modifiers that may drastically alter some aspect of gameplay. # civic niche hi everyone i just started playing Risk Of Rain 2 on PS5 im trying to get The Fa...

I'm not familiar with aurelionite in the fight but I'm pretty familiar with the FS fight itself so here's some general tips and info for false son you might find helpful:
Dash only happens in phase 1 and is always followed up with a shotgun, if you're preparing for him to dash, prepare for him to shotgun directly after.
Since the shotgun is tied to the dash, it means it also is exclusive to the first phase. You can block the dash from getting directly to you by putting a pillar between you and false son, and also can block shotgun with it too
In every phase he gets slower and due to the loss of the dash you can outrun him in phase 2 and entirely dodge any of his melee attacks in phase 3 by walking simply walking away you can look directly at him and hold straight backwards, and the slam will be dodged, during the laser you can cover the eye with the pillar if you allign your POV with the character, and just hold backwards, pillar blocks the laser and backwards walking dodges the slams
Make sure to prepare for the ability steal by being next to the geode, it has really easy cycles to remember: first at the beginning of the fight, the next soon after the laser, and the third (iirc, might be fourth 😅)and most dangerous is during the laser
Oh also, on the back outer edges of the arena in phase 2, you can find two rocks/nubs which you can use to not only block laser, but if you're out of false son's LoS then he won't notice you and will not run towards you until you decide he does, which makes the laser fully and completely safe to wait out, the golems can kinds slam you, but it's not really an issue

#

Actually I just remembered something that might help

So if an attack ignites and it's total damage is 500% base, it ticks 50 times, 5 per second, coming out to 10 seconds

yoo guys how loops do i need to do to gurantee that the hermit crabs would spawn in titanic plains

peak jacinth

Only one, sometimes you might have to wait a bit before they spawn

covert sundial
primal vector

cuz they can alternatively use the seers in bazaar between time, providing that they have 4 lunar coins in their deep, deep pocket

primal vector
#

still you increase the chances of getting the stage and the stage choosing hermit crabs as a spawn

# south haven Does anyone have a good item reference? Looking for a quick reference to have op...

well, there's the wiki and the ingame logbook, but they're not laid out as neatly as that chart. There's also the 'inspect item' function that you can turn on in settings (under that umbrella settings thing on the first page) that lets you check what an item does before picking it up https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg/wiki/Items

Risk of Rain 2 Wiki

Items are special collectibles that spawn while playing the game.
Players can pick items up to gain a special effect based upon what type of item it is. Each item's icon also has a colored border to indicate its rarity:

Some items need to be unlocked by completing a Challenge to appear in game. Pick up an item to unlock its logbook entry.
There...

#

I don't think there's anything that mentions if an item is damage/healing/utility but that's usually self explanatory based on what the item does

umbral knot
#

realistically, are the lunar items even good??

livid wedge
#

It's a mixed bag

hoary sedge
#

yes a lot of them are game breaking

livid wedge
#

Outside of eclipse, focused convergence is almost always worth it

umbral knot
#

me and my bf lowkey hate them but only recently has he started liking them

livid wedge
#

I'd honestly just recommend trying all of them. Be warned that longstanding solitude, the sots lunar, is not friends with the gilded coast stage

hoary sedge
#

gesture is absurdly strong, glass is essentially a free win if you have decent defense items, tonic is insane, and transcendence just nullifies like half of the eclipse modifiers

i might try it in our next run. we like to play together

the debuffs it spreads are pretty much exclusively going to be either dot or damage boosts so like why is it separate

mellow crystal
frigid vapor
#

If the monsters have Death mark

tender temple
#

i dunno

it shouldnt really matter since you can hardly ever get 4 debuffs at once on yourself

frosty reef

Idk about that. Band cooldown and eclipse perma damage are already 2 against you. It's valid to question that scenario

glacial knoll

fog and cooldowns dont count

frosty reef

Coulda sworn band cooldown does, or it might be when bands are off cooldown

As for the cooldown contributing to death mark I don't know because I've rarely seen death mark in void fields and I don't play with artifacts

technically debuff, cooldown, workForNectar are all 3 entirely separate things

that would be counterproductive

is merc whirlwind not uhh... allowed past eclipse 3? im guessing its something to do with the 2x and lethal fall damage, but ive now lost 2 runs by whirlwinding up a slope and insta dying

uh oh

also happened on a slope in scorched acres but didnt clip that one

#

that one was a bit more frustrating cause it was like 25 mins into the run 😭

I can't quite tell what happened here since this is the first time I've seen a trimp death without it being on a concave slope

#

Or at least the slope doesn't look concave

😭 so odd

i wanna figure this out cause i dont wanna lose more runs to this lmao

no clip for scorched acres but this was the slope i died on @worldly olive

whirlwinded from that lower area and died

Quite hard for me to see where that is
Though I don't think that slope is concave so probably something different is going on here
