True. Armor reduction is more effective when the thing has base armor

Personally I just sit on the raised platforms and wail on him with charged shotgun or the shift ability
Try to play around the ramps, he has trouble staying on them and they'll give you an easy way to get above him.
Just be ready to move in closer when he starts doing big spinny, he always alternates between that and the big shockwave attack so you can sorta predict it
Also buy drones, it's worth doing that anyway even if you're not captain. Mithrix has severe adhd and will get distracted by them, and he'll spend half the fight trying to swat them out of the air
Play around ramps of pillars for cover
Youre kinda fucked if you dont have movement so use the arena as your advantage

2 quick questions?
- does scaling stop at l99 and stays there or does it pernamently rise into infinity while displaying only l99?
- any items on low progression to boost my damage numbers? Bc i got rapid fire artificer, and even tho i can kill even bosses with short bursts. I can see that the dmg per shot is heavily lacking
- Enemy stats stop scaling at level 99 (except special bosses like mithrix), but the game will continue spawning harder enemies in larger numbers until you're getting nothing but elite scavengers
- The best way to boost damage is to mix different items so they build off of each other, instead of just focusing on one thing. Ex. instead of just building attack speed, add proc items, crit or other multipliers as well. Generally the more variety you have, the better
proc items in particular mix together really well due to proc chaining
So ig i need more luck lol. The game showered me in suringes, whips, feathers, sprint shields and uh. The fall damage brancelet thing... Forgot the name

I myself sometimes also like to challenge myself by intentionally going for a gimmicky build over a better normal build just to get some more unique and memorable runs

there are a lot of items that work really well within a specific niche even if they seem bad on the surface

You can even get all 3 at the same time in stage 1 without items if you use a specific artifact combination
Kin so every enemy becomes beetles and swarms so every enemy is doubled
You take the fuel array, activate the teleporter, let yourself get hit until you fall below 50% hp and jump right as the fuel array explodes
Ideally this meets all the conditions
A big multi kill, several kills without touching the ground and killing the teleporter boss within 1 second of damaging it

honestly this is a ramble but the issue with arti imo is that her only really interchangeable skills if you're going for the best setup are her m2s
default m1 does way more damage and you already have a bunch of aoe as arti
alt special's ability to send you into the fucking sky and start hovering is too good (+ the aoe it has complements the lower aoe on default m1 + alt m2)
i'd really only consider alt m1 for ice spear + flamethrower
and even then if you get an
then you would've been better off with default m1 + flamethrower
anyway ramble over, get either alt m1 or alt special to complement the lower aoe on ice spear but alt special is generally preferable imo

I have tried this combo, and I might make it work with gas tanks, IDK, just feels like I gotta be air bombing whenever I do the vault
but I suppose the AOE does good damage
Usually I'd suggest running nanobomb over spear if you're gonna be running ion surge, it's hard to take advantage of the pierce when you're above everything

spear + surge is usable but it's less of an airbomb playstyle and more of a headstompers-esque playstyle kinda
unless you're fighting just one target in which case you can airbomb as much as you'd like

Whats the best difficulty mod? To make the game harder
imo inferno since it isn't just stat bloat
changes up enemy ai as well without directly changing the attacks themselves
most other modded difficulties are just
+200% difficulty scaling -50% gold and xp gain e7 modifier have fun
But isn't inferno too hard? I want something aimed at someone who just finished their first e8 run
i can manage on inferno and i never play eclipse so 
don't think there are very many easier difficulties on the mods page anyway

False son seems to be less aggressive while the laser is active or smth
He will run to you but many people have said that he doesnt really attack much during that time
Ive not had him be less aggro consistently
If anything its pretty random what the games gonna do once you decide to hide from that 1:1 tracking laser, building for speed doesnt do shit for the fight which sucks
You also dont have to hide from the laser as much immediately
Its damage ramps up so it may be better to spend some time at the beginning of the attack to travel to a better hiding spot

yeah void bands are rarely ever worth it
it's significantly less damage with a longer cooldown that doesn't really add that much extra utility, especially on long runs where stuff usually dies so fast the root doesn't have time to actually do anything

If you enter from stage 1 or 2, the bazaar will have 3 mini geodes hidden across the map
Havent found one inside the bazaar itself but the surrounding area and the abyss to vields can have mini geodes
Finding and breaking all 3 will spawn a green portal

not very good at the game so I wanna optomize since I wanna unlock mercenary
none of them are good
depending on what you have purity could be good and helfire tincture could be good
terrible for loader replaces your secondary
never bad but pretty underwhelming buffs everything (even enemies) in its radius and is placed every so often
fine on loader but say goodbye to your on hit items (lowers cooldowns by 2s but lowers luck)
Hell fire tincture : loader is more of a burst damage gal,so spreading dot to everything (including yourself) isnt very practical but if you're using her m1 ALOT it ca be awesome

If you're on steam, make sure you have crossplay turned off
You can only join other crossplay lobbies if it's enabled, and nobody uses it because it's a glitchy mess
But yeah, this server is probably a better way to find games than joining randoms

if you do it's very strong but if you don't it just kinda feels terrible

0 crit can still happen though and youll feel useless xd
iirc you only need 20% crit for alt to be equal/better, so itās pretty much a tie between the two
need some more for total dmg% proc item scaling i think, isnt alt like 0.7 coeff
alt primary has less dps if u have 2 or less crit glasses i believe but if u have more the dps is higher
so for loopers alt is easily better
but i still use it for mithrix runs cause i rlly want >20% crit

it's pretty good if you're in a tight spot with no room to grapple and need to quickly build up some speed for a punch

Are radio scanners bugged on new dlc maps? Iāve never seen any on Helminth Hatchery or on Golden Dieback
Yes so ever since the sots release, disturbed impact's log got unobtainable if you already have the titanic plains log
With the current update treeborn/dieback have the same bug if you already have the aphelian sanctuary log and helminth if you have the sky meadows log
So the only way to get those logs currently is to play with someone who doesnt have the other logs that bug out those sots stages logs

is the bulwark varient always the same through the entire run? trying to unlock all logbook varients and cant find the tar one, keep getting the wisp one this run

is it worth it actively grind out skins and alt skills or should I just gain it over time while enjoying the game
Kinda depends on the requirements for the skills, some of them you can just get pretty naturally, some you can get without too much trouble as long as you keep the requirements in mind and go for it when you see an opportunity, and others just won't happen unless you're specifically going for them
Mastery skins you can definitely get just playing the game naturally though, although you might have to grind a bit to get the false son skins since most people don't usually go to false son
btw weird question
ethreal merc says "beat prismatic trial without dropping below 100% hp"
but when I tried stacking topaz and Personal shields (like 1 or 2 of each back when there was a command seed) so that I am above 100% and can take stray damage from like pests and wisps, it didn't give me the achievement after I beat the run even though I was above 100% the entire time
Shield still counts as hp for this achievement

every time there's a new trial the rortuber cabbage posts a clip of him beating the ethereal challenge on that seed
yet, the main strategy is just to hold out for a glass or command seed and try to do it whenever that happens

expose transfer takes a lot of practice, and gets harder the more atk. speed you have
the trick to it is just pressing the ability you wanna transfer to very slightly after the 3rd m1 hit
timing feels really tight, and takes lots of practice, but it's defo worth learning š
yeah the expose transfer makes the alt dash insane
it exposes every enemy you dash through, and then the delayed hit procs it and if you hit enough enemies it instantly gives you back the dash (and all your other abilities)

I'm super late but protip, it's a little easier if you do it when you're really close to the enemy, so the sword hitbox connects on frame 1. There's a bit of hitpause that makes the window slightly bigger

So stage 2 is counted as stage 3 instead (after completing void fields and going to the regular path) and so on

maybe, but I think it's an interesting way to balance it. Vields IS basically an extra stage in terms of how much loot you get, and having a guaranteed difficulty penalty for going there means you're incentivized to tough it out instead of leaving the moment it gets dangerous
iirc it's breaking stage 5 by using post loop spawn pools tho (from "6" that you're on)
so it's definitely a high priority fix

it uses the overall difficulty coefficient, which does include stage count
if they fix the bug I'd hope they implement some other consequence for going there and leaving early though
I think increasing the time like a normal stage like it did before was fine
Incrementing the number bugs me because everything feels off after that
The issue I have with that is that there's zero penalty for doing one or two cells, looting as much as you can and then dipping out the instant it gets slightly difficult. There's basically no reason not to go to vields other than it being boring

Having to weigh the benefit of more items vs a permanent consequence is just more interesting imo
the stage count being off also doesn't bother me in the slightest but maybe I'm in the minority there lol
I also just think it's fun to have stuff that mixes up gameplay a little bit, getting post-loop enemies early is cool and different
it would definitely need a lot of polish though, since it's post loop elites paired with the rough spawn pools on 5 (or "10")
like iirc child spawns post loop Meadows, and an elite one could obliterate you

I think im struggling to dish out damage as Huntress, what am I missing, below is like a run of the mill run id get with her
you've got good damage items, huntress just has really low base dps
like, her primary does half the dps of commando's m1
I found that both the base and alt M1s are kinda underwhelming like that
one for speed and one for base damage

(assuming commando also has max crit)
im also just disappointed that ballista isnt that much help either
it's a pretty good ability on its own, but with the cooldown being so long, you're still relying on her weak primary a lot of the time
with huntress you just kinda deal slow and steady damage while focusing on dodging

The logbook is guaranteed to spawn but it disappears after 5 minutes
No not every stage only hidden realms
Regular stages can spawn the purchasable scanners but hidden realms with always have a phyical logbook hidden somewhere in the stage
And with the exception of gided coast, every one of those logbooks disappears after 5 minutes of being on that stage

you can also just leave through any portal besides the main teleporter or void portal

So I just got the game yesterday and I really like bandit but I always get overwhelmed by big bunches of enemies (especially during bosses). What should I be doing to fix this? Also any other tips for bandit?
assuming youre using the default bandit pistol, utilising the fact that kills instantly refresh the cooldown can help get rid of hordes of small enemies
also, your shift that makes you invisible has an AoE stun around your character
Default m2 also has surprisingly good aoe
First of all, take advantage of bandits passive backstab, you get guaranteed crit (double damage) when hitting an enemy in the back, use smoke bomb to get behind enemies to use back stab. Also a tip thatās good but I donāt do myself, donāt fire the last bullet in the gun, it will reload faster if there is at least one bullet still in the gun, also use the bleed from the backstab knife
is commando's roll still useless or does it have an unwriten feature idk about such as I frames?
Nah roll kinda sucks, the only thing it can do that slide can't is trimp

Get them as low as you can with primary then finish them with the revolver, if they're still alive, knife them and run away while you reload

safest way is to just stay behind cover and poke him to death with any ranged attacks you have
if you're feeling ballsy (or just impatient) it's possible to dodge his attacks by staying close to him and circlestrafe faster than he can turn
if you have any minions, another good trick is to stay close to him until the very end of the item stealing animation and run away at the last second
that way your minions will lag behind and aggro to him as soon as he's vulnerable, distracting him and getting some free damage. Also if you have
, buy back any dead drones to spawn turrets
is there a way to aim glaze at farther or aerial targets better, or xdd
tried some glaze cuz yes chef got meganerfed this patch, but bruh this thing cant hit for shit against flying stuff. even when it does hit, searing them is like not happening so idk gg. i thought glaze wouldve been better into aerial enemies than yes chef but this feels just as terrible

Be very very patient and wait out his attack patterns by peeking from behind cover and hitting him with something ranged until he goes into the ball attacks then you should be good to wail on him

cloaking makes it so that enemies only get updates on your position once every second, so they can still "see" you occasionally
it helps a lot to have drones or other minions though, because cloaking also makes enemies way more likely to change targets

but yeah for her 1 you can do a lot to offset the lack of the AoE, the games options are pretty varied in that area

by modifiers do you mean artifacts, or the things that randomize stages and make you start with extra cash? Because artifacts can be unlocked for normal runs, but the other modifiers are specific to trials
and prismatic trials have everything unlocked except for characters, since everyone needs to be able to play the same seed

those are only for prismatics
they're just kinda jank sometimes, if there are fewer than 3 void enemies remaining it'll show you where they are with a purple arrow at the edge of your screen, but occasionally they do bug out and become incompletable
i got so pissed when it happened, bc i had a shipment with 2 reds in a void seed that got bugged
not sure what exactly causes it though

the short answer is that you git gud, or at least get lucky
check pins in #prismatic-trials , there's a dude called Cabbage who does guides for every seed
but the easiest way to do it is to just wait for a seed with glass, ideally with command too

A little of both, its a balance
generally items are more important than time, but don't waste too much time looking for items
the wiki has a hint guide if you want help finding them without totally spoiling it, but to answer your question, most of them are on tablets, there are a handful that aren't but there's only one that really deviates from how they normally look. Also, iirc every base game map has one except for sundered grove, although ||not all of them are necessarily in a map in the traditional sense||

what do I do if artifact keys aren't spawning?
I'm doing artifact of command rn (was gonna loop back to obelisk for mercenary) but the keys won't spawn after the first
just keep killing stuff, one will drop eventually
Also for command, the keys are initially dropped as a yellow command essence with only the key as a choice

I don't have seekers of the storm, I played it with a friend who had it and that was a while ago, and I heard they made a few changes and bug fixes recently
So what do twisted elites do again?
they tether themselves to up to 5 nearby enemies, tethered enemies get 300 armor and every time you damage them it charges up an attack from the twisted elite, after 10 hits it fires a spiked ball that homes in on you and inflicts lunar ruin
kinda complicated but tl;dr just shoot the elite itself, not the enemies it's protecting
the old version basically just gave nearby enemies razorwire which was exactly as horrible as it sounds lol
update: i rewactehd the clip i took and i gained 1 million money within being in the stage for about 3 seconds so idk how much more money flooded in after that but it completely crashed my game
Oh yeah don't worry, I had my fair share with that. No matter how far into a god run you are, twisted will ALWAYS be scary because they mess you up so hard

Theres no indicator, you just develop a feel for it
there is a mod that gives you completion stats after each stage if you want, I don't use it but it can be good feedback
can be useful for that when you're still learning the maps, but with more experience you start to get a feel for how much stuff each stage should have
Is the "verified" achievement bugged? There seemed to be a problem with it as ppl on reddit have pointed out, and I haven't gotten the char despite having done more than 5 runs that went beyond the first tp. Am on PC
I haven't heard about that specifically but it's possible, there have been some reports of issues with unlocks in general lately
Worst case scenario, you can use the realercheatunlocks mod to force the unlock if it keeps refusing to work

also, best way to maximize is always to mix different items, not focus on just one thing. In general items will stack additively with themselves but multiplicatively with each other, especially damage items

for the final boss you need to take the teleporter
when it disappears you interact with the thing that came out of it to unlock the artifact, then a portal will appear

I got the game 2 Days ago i got 4h in it, i got the void dlc and wanted to ask whats the best way to make a build or a good run because i just take all items i can find
taking all the items you can find is pretty much how you do it tbh
just try to manage your time efficiently, a good rule of thumb is to full-clear every stage and try to leave with more items than minutes
items tend to build on each other, especially damage items, so it's best to get a mix of a bunch of different things so they can multiply each other's effects
some characters will be biased towards certain types of items, like rapid-fire survivors like commando tend to do really well with random proc effects like
, whereas slow heavy hitters like railgunner tend to favor reliable multipliers like
.
But you don't really have to worry about crafting a perfectly optimal build, for the most part items are designed with randomness in mind and tend to be pretty universal
I do highly recommend turning on the "inspect item" option in settings if you haven't already, it gives you an option to see more detailed descriptions of items and other stuff before you pick them up

She starts with good damage, so anything that gives mobility is a must (even harpon works well if you are using flamethrower). You will be hit often, so medkit is also good

Any tips to improve my performance?
1 - broadening your movement gap vs mithrix's is key here. either by hindering his movement (baubles, freezes) or increasing yours (wax quails, feathers, drinks/goat hooves)
2 - stay relatively close to him during pizza attack. this way the dmg pillars rotate waay slower, becoming easier to dodge
Adding to that, vertical movement can be a life saver. Mithrix has few means to deal witk airborne threats
question: i just saw for the first time a fruit like enviroment thing in the bazaar, just below the portal platform. i shot it and it exploded. does anyone know about this?

If you enter from stage 1 or 2 there will be 3 mini geodes hidden in 3 of 9 possible locations, if you find and break all of them a green portal appears

No, as far as we know there wont be new alt skills in phase 3 because preston said that they wanted to purely focus on fixing existing content for the roadmap updates

i'm a relatively new player, and i only have one real win with Bandit. Are there any more obscure things i should be doing/general tips to improve? Like progression wise ive been stuck for a while now since half the things id like to do seem impossible to figure out without a guide, and i dont want to spoil myself either
Good general tips I can give:
- Learn the map layouts. This makes looting them and finding the teleporter so much easier.
- The teleporter will give off red particles in the air around it to give you a hint to its location. Itās blue on the final stage though.
- Time really doesnāt matter. As long as you have about more items than you do minutes, you should be fine.
- Try to fully loot every stage.
yeah, i've gotten most of these more or less down, the thing i haven't though is good builds or stuff like that or maybe even more obscure stuff, like maybe hit every newt thingy or something, i dunno?
i've been very conservative with my lunar coins and i think i spent like 3 total
well if youāre willing to cheat a lil you can get infinite lunar coins with no modsā¦
As for builds, just take whatever you can stick to your body lol

Celestine elites have that huge light blue aura. They will make every other enemy in the aura invisible
Malachite Elites create fields of spikes. The damage they deal isnāt the issue, itās the debuff they give you. They stop all your healing for a short time.
wait if im now thinking i think there's two auras? a blue and greenish one?
i don't fully remember but if the blue is the celestine then green should be malachite?
And finally there is Twisted Elites. They are only part of the SOTS dlc. Everything in their dark blue aura will give the elite energy when they take damage. When the elite has charged up enough energy it will fire a dangerous projectile at you proportional to the damage that you dealt to create it.
Point being, when these elites spawn you will have to zero in on them

Ukes are really good, quails are alright if your skills are on cooldown and you need to avoid stuff, fuel cell is good in general, Guillotine is the only bad one
