50 minutes on stage 10 still sounds like you were going pretty fast, usually I'd be at stage 5 or 6 by then lol
always better to fully loot rather than just rushing to the teleporter
we do full loot usually unless its like the other side of the stage
like not going across the map as loader for one white box but

the one good thing about the moon is that enemies spawn really slowly there, so once you clear out the initial spawns you're usually pretty safe

just try to use cover wherever you can and pick stuff off, and if it feels like you're getting overwhelmed, just run and create some distance
the grounded enemies can't easily follow you across the different islands and the wisps are slow
so as a general rule of thumb, faster=worse
I mean, if you're leaving behind a bunch of items for the sake of going faster, yeah
like we thought man maybe we need to just charge the portal on each level ight away
obviously faster is better but you don't wanna leave stuff behind, time management is more about efficiency than speed

a good rule of thumb is to do everything you can on a stage and still try to leave with more items than minutes
Every time that happens the enemies end up outscaling you by stage 2 or 3 so it's a pointless difficulty increase

and it can be worth spending some extra time to optimize your build, like finding scrappers and printers and stuff

fun fact btw: enemy gold drops scale in real time, but chest prices only update at the start of a stage, so looting actually gets more efficient if you hang around longer. But if you rush, chest prices keep catching up and you'll constantly be in that phase where farming takes forever
also difficulty scaling increases by 15% for every stage you complete, so there's some really good incentive to make the most of every stage and not rush

(ngl one of my biggest complaints about ror2's learning curve is that the game constantly reminds you about the timer, but never really emphasizes the importance of looting, it just kinda assumes that you'll want to grab as many items as possible)
Yeah sometimes we cant decide if we have made it worse for oursleves running about opening boxes after the boss is dead or if we should have gone much faster, I guess this clears that up
It's all about getting the most amount of items in the least amount of time. If anything don't pay much attention to the timer anyway as it could make you think you have to rush but just don't take more than 15 damn minutes a stage and you'll be fine as long as you have a general looting path for a stage, like going out then in or working around and leaving the teleporter area for last.

Mithrix can't really deal with vertical mobility (most enemies in the game can't minus the flying ones and some exceptions). And once you get used to it the only really big hurdle for the Mithrix fight is the last phase

the only really strong thing about them is that they can proc, but yeah it's not worth it unless you're about to go to mithrix and don't already have normal bands

when you have random proc items
pretty much every random effect gets buffed by clover except tougher times
conversely those effects are also negatively affected by purity so those are the items you don't want to take it with

probably a multiplayer issue, but potentially also a skill issue if you're playing a survivor with decent movement options

For crowd control then ceremonial, as it has significantly more range and can chain as much as there are enemies, tesla is restricted to like 2 or 3 iirc

altho sometimes the vase doesn't even reach far enough when aiming further so i just die anyway.
if your friend feels like cooperating, ig what you could do is have them go up first and then send another zipline down to you, that way it's guaranteed to reach the platform

that just shows the basic description, like sticky bomb just says "chance to attach a bomb to enemies" instead of telling you the proc chance like the logbook

Ever since the sots update you can open the logbook mid run through the pause menu
there should be a setting you can toggle where clicking on the item will bring up another menu with the detailed desc

You cant drop equipments but you should be able to swap them if you press interact to pick the one on the ground up

Why is the DLC Seekers of the Storm up with so many negative reviews? Isn't worth to buy it? I am thinking to buy the void one
When it first launched it was not very good. A few patches have fixed it all for the most part and it's worth purchasing now
As a new player should I buy the void one or enjoy the base game? Will the void DLC boost my playthrough a lot with the new items?
The DLCs dont add a large amount of unlocks so it might not add too much to do if you already have the game complete. I found it to be fun to have the extra options while playing and progressing.
Most content like items are unlocked by default, but a few character things are behind challenges in DLC
it's nice to have extra stuff but tbh, i would just stick with and enjoy the base game, and once you have a better understanding and enjoyment of it, then go and add the DLCs to spice things up

It's kind of an opinionated question, but for me sots just slightly changed up the runs instead of giving too much new stuff to do since I had a complete 100% before it came out

I will say that Void dlc is pretty good to have when you have at least all survivors unlocked and a couple of wins, after that it is really good to spice things up and just because the items are really good

what does twisted do?
Twisted elites tether to nearby enemies, giving them armor. When you hit tethered allies enough times, the spike ball above their head grows larger, and eventually it will detach and fly toward you
Rarely when starting a stage you'll get a blue orb spawn, it should say in the chat. If not, you can spend 1 lunar coin on the newt altars hidden around to force one to spawn. You can see the orbs rotating around the teleporter, and after you complete the tele any orbs turn into portals

How much dmg does bleed do and how much dmg does crit do...like percentages
Yeah, but clover doesn't buff the crit chance before it converts it to damage
Bleeds are 240% over 3 seconds multiplied by proc chance, crits are 200% of the attack
attacks that crit are multiplied by the critical strike multiplier. 2.0, and +1.0 for each 
clover rolls a crit again if you fail, it doesn't actually change your CritChance value
Grectar should buff Railgunner because that does change your CritChance
bleed does 12 ticks (4 ticks/s) multiplied by the proc coefficient and each tick does 20% base damage
im p sure nectars buff is at the end of recalc stats, so it should come after her crit is set to 0
and it doesnt touch crit damage

because you WILL be running like a coward until the poison kills

anything that multiplies damage is also good for boosting poison, like

those are the two items from sots
backup mag gives your secondary skill more charges tho
and luminous shot now actually helps your secondary charge faster
technically all you have to do is run in circles, hitting m2 and R occasionally while waiting for poison to slowly kill stuff. But if you wanna play him without being bored, the basic idea is to soften things up with poison, leap in and tear enemies up with your primary, then leap away again. A lot of it comes down to situational awareness and knowing when's a good time to jump in or out of a fight
you can also sprint cancel his primary to attack faster, just tap sprint right after each hit
leap also has crazy good scaling with move speed, you can jump halfway across the map with just a few energy drinks. It takes some practice to aim it though

Acrid doesn't play like engineer so if you like engineer a lot you might not flow with him at first

I never go there just because it's kinda boring, but technically there's no downside to going there as long as you have enough healing to survive the fog
Although you can only go there once per run, so if you leave early with no loot it's a bit of a waste
Sometimes it's completely free, other times the enemies get shurikens and Dios
if i were you i would stay away from it until i had enough experience with the enemies
because void fields will contain some of the worst enemies in the game (exaggeration but you get the point)
oh and they have items which increase as you stablilize void cells

- how does one kick/ban players nowadays? i believe what used to work was steam_lobby_print_members to fetch ids and kick/ban-_steam [id]. the first command does nothing on my side
- is there a way to ping a player to see their latency?
- unrelated, but does launching pots on stage 2 by sprinting on top no longer work or me bad at videogame?

It may have spawned behind another area if the teleporter is close to a wall or something

There should also be a red arrow at the edge of your screen pointing to where the boss(es) are if they're not currently in your field of view

There is also at least one newt altar on every stage (except distant roost) so if you know where those altars can appear and get a couple lunar coins, it becomes fairly common to visit the bazaar

there is currently a bug where the portal doesn't spawn and softlocks you, but it only happens after you've interacted with the artifact, so you'll at least unlock it either way

yea new elites will spawn after looping (if you hadnt known that already) as well as scavengers
they start showing their ass up at around stage 9 in average and does a ton of damage, has a ton of hp and drop items when the first of them in that stage dies

they're basically the same as magma worms, but there is one rule for fighting them:

I wouldn't mind the mithrix fight having more adds, although preferably something less annoying than the chimera enemies. CC items not being useless is one of the few things the false son fight does better

honestly I always found it really weird that ror2 is mostly a game about fighting huge crowds of enemies, but then the final boss is pretty much a 1v1
Yeah, its strange and has the side effect of making some items much less useful than they would or should be
Instead of directly adding more adds, it makes mithrix spawn temporary clones on certain attacks, and also gives him the chimera orb ability, which has a healthbar and procs on hit and kill items
so the fight isn’t flooded with enemies, but AOE items can still serve a purpose

Plus the extra entities are dangerous but not obnoxious
having more adds on top of the 1v1 that the fight has could be extremely unfun
That still leaves a lot of items left in the dust though, things like

Mithrix feels like he was designed for a different style of game honestly, he'd be more at home in something like Hades where you've got a dash and can keep up with his movement
I’ve had some extremely fun Mithrix fights, especially in higher eclipse levels, but it kinda does require the right kinds of items
with feathers, enough speed and things like opal and spaces, you can really push the fight to its limit and it is suuuuper fun

you have to use the teleporter without readjusting it
if you interact with the prongs you change the destination to be looping, but also taking any portals at all like bazaar, gold, or even the artifact portal, will loop you

depends on your build and skill level, but a lot of people do it first loop
more items makes the early phases easier, though the boss is scaled more and phase 4 can be more annoying depending on what you get
alr good to know. im playing on switch and when i looped i had huge performance issues so i dont know if looping will ever be practiacal for me lol

Playing rainstorm, artifact of sacrifice, i used to play drizzle a lot but I'm easing my way into the harder difficulties-
I finished a stage on rainstorm and got no white items? I got the one green item from the teleporter but no whites at all, does rainstorm lower sacrifice's drop rates? Or am I just unlucky?
I get void items. On description it says, “corrupts all atg missile mk”
What does corrupt mean ? Makes them to not work properly?
It will turn that item into the void item that corrupts it, for example the lystate cell corrupts fuel cells, if I have two fuel cells, after getting the lystate cell all my fuel cells will turn into more lystate cells, and any more I get in the game will follow
unlucky, the base chance is like 5% but sometimes it happens. higher reward coeffs (so more expensive enemies or elites and stuff) mean higher drop chance, so higher difficulty means the chance will scale up faster. it will be the same at base though
or well
theres a minimum of 5%, so like a wisp might end up <5% by the formula, but would raise to 5%.
early on enemies also dont spawn particularly fast, so the item rates can feel pretty bad sometimes if youre unlucky, even with the minimum chance in place.

I have a good PC but 1050ti graphic card. My FPS limit is set on 60 and resolution 2560*1440 - 144hz
Setting enemy corpse cleanup to immediate helps, lower resolution, and just generally lowering graphics settings. Ror2 is mostly cpu-bound so your gpu shouldn't matter a whole lot
I used to run the game fine with an i3, 8gb ram and a 1050ti so you shouldn't need a whole lot

Entirely up to you, mithrix is kinda the 'true ending' but either one will count as a win

Hello I started a run on monsoon with the following artifacts : swarm , command and sacrifice. But it seems that they drop like.. 15 enemies one item. Why so such low drop rate? Is this way?

when the switch version had some items have double effect
drop rate is based on an enemy's spawn cost, fodder mobs have low drop chances
I killed 50 enemies and got only one item drop
Because the ratio of enemies to chests on a stage is pretty low
the minimum drop chance is 5%
Additionally swarms lowers it even further
yeah, it isn't completely halved though so swarms still gives you a lot more on average

gotta be mindful of what items you had and what could work against you

This, and items given back is how much % health you've done to him in damage. Him healing or reviving will not give him the items back to mithrix

,he would still eventually give them back once you'd dealt enough damage
this is why I always scrap nkuhanas, even ignoring its very poor damage

if the item steal animation goes on for long enough, it'll start to speed up, and at that point I think the invulnerability wears off

Yeah, once it has gone on long enough, he becomes vulnerable and the steal rate rapidly increases
it is a shame I didnt complete such a run, in the stages bosses died without me putting an input

Also useful to note, all of the items that get taken when the animation speed increases are not used by mithrix

I really wish enemies were not able to get items they literally can't use. I do enjoy having enemies in the void fields get things like sale star and regenerating scrap because that means they're not getting shuriken but it's stupid
Its not the worst issue, enemies just aren’t balanced around items
Some items absolutely break the game when enemies get them
No, it's not even a balance thing, the enemy literally cannot use them
they're not supposed to, but the devs consistently forget that the enemy blacklist is a thing lol
