Good times, been a while
Tonic gives you insane buffs, with a chance to give you a permanent debuff when it ends. Gesture lowers the cooldown, at either 4 or 5 it's infinite so no downside.
Its 4
3 fuel cells + 1 gesture (or 4 gestures: every gesture after the first gives the same amount of reduction as a fuel cells)
You can mix fuel cells too, 1 gesture and 3 of gesture or cell
After the first gesture they're the same as a cell
Does the twisted aura deal damage equal to a % of the attackers health or monsters health? @full apex
Currently 2.5% of your max hp
Does that include shields?
Probably
Shield counts as "max" health for most things but not overhealth, so id assume same here
Like
won't count, same with for Ethereal
When you kill a gilded elite will you regain all the gold that was stolen?
I dont think so
Maybe? Let me read
I-
They have promised to fix them to have altered gold stealing later
Yea you get the gold back
Barrier isn't considered max health for blood shrine either
Just read the wiki, returns gold and the on kill gold
Wait. The False Son, the boss of the DLC is playable?! How do you even play something that big? Is that balanced in any way?
When you kill an enemy, you get their gold
Its fairly balanced yes and its not a 1:1 copy
Ohhhhhh
That's how you get gold from kills, they spawn with it
If it was a 1:1 copy that laser would be fucking broken
So you'll get back gilded elite gold as well
I look at the art in the road map and holy cow. Did he look a lot bigger.
Could've been the boss
Ye idk whats up with that I think they just took the boss version for some reason
The footage in general is a bit weird
New false son alt: you just turn into the boss
Like they literally showed blazing and overloading ELITE MAGMA WORMS in the showcase
Question about Seeker. Is she basically the Paladin esque character that was voted on years ago?
There were regular imps it wasnt honor
There were just
Elite worms
Support character with decent attacks and a revive skill
Its interesting that theyll make the revive work in singleplayer too
Regen dios
Ahhhh, so not another melee character?
Like seeker is becoming even more unkillable
I assume they are going to remove the invulnerabilty on the utility
Sorry, I don't have her. Hence my questions.
No, she is a ranged puncher XD
Why would they ever do that
Its a melee attack
Though I could see them make it unaffected by damage reduction like raps
Similar to how the void fog does it
Just my feelings on it, it is very strong, and that is just how Egg works too
That or they remove invisibility
Yes
no thats actually False Son
It does not, which does mean that transcendence reduces the damage to one
I did a decent amount of testing with it recently bc I was curious about the interaction with twisted elites and antler shield, bc I'm pretty sure antler shield was intended to be a counter to twisted elites
is there a way to only select a single item out of a stack to scrap?
im overcapped on crit
Unfortunately no, scrapping takes 10 at a time
Hi, im kinda new to Ror2, is the game still played as much as it used to be?
it peaked with SOTV really, but it's still alright
a large portion of the game plays singleplayer, it's fun
Ah, ok thanks
that and there's normally 1-5 lobbies in #lfg-pc-ror2, even during the times it's dead
Thank you!
Is False Son's M1 supposed to send enemies into the backrooms
Yes that thing has hella knockback
ok so what about popping up? thats the part that realy confuses me. sometimes i just go somewhat near them and they pop up and other times i could be standing ontop of them and shooting the ground near them and they just sleep
is the game ever getting crossplay??
Unlikely
man, that really sucks
yo guys im trying the oblerterate boss and the scavenger keeps healing himself with like 60k by spalshing himself with something oranage. I literally cannot kill him. the closest I got was stacking his bleed up to like 330 and he slid away from me and canceled all the bleed
I have no idea what to do
Ahhhhh kipkip
Destroyer of dreams
First of all
Kipkip has 3 genesis loops so when he gets below 25% hp hes basically gonna nuke anything in line of sight
Stacking bleed is definitely an option
But you can also try to bring kipkip to the edge of the stage and push him off
i tried that but he somehow slids halfway across the map randomly
I'll try that
it worked thank you so much
I meant pushing him off the map
WAS MULTIPLAYER FIXED
Iiiiiii thinkkk?
Ive heard mixed things
But there were a lot of multiplayer bugs fixed
non host discconect
what are the best lunar abilities for commando
How does bandit invis work? Do the enemies attack last seen location or is there something else
Ruin is absolutely peak on commando
they attack the last location they saw you, then they get updates on your position every second until you're visible again. They're also much more likely to target other allies besides you
so having drones or other minions will also make cloaking more effective
Like 1 second delay? Or they won't attack even though they know where i am?
it's sorta like making monsters play at 1fps, they can only see your position once every second and will keep attacking that spot even after you move
essence is amazing, strides is good but a bit bland to play, hooks is decent once you have enough procs that you arent relying on the m2 for damage
tldr, for the love of GOD dont pick up visions
can i buy multiple from the portal area?
yeah as long as you have the coins to roll for em
So since you can now use the halcyon shrine to exit a stage mid tp event what happens to the halcyon seed if you leave while aurelionite is present?
can buy up to 5 lunars per bazaar visit
Does the seed come back or do you just ditch auri
you just leave and don't get the seed, I would assume. It'd be weird if you still got it without having to kill auri
No I mean ally auri
Since the seed jumps out of your inventory during tp events
Or actually I misinterpreted that
essence definitely
NOT visions
hooks probably
take essence for sure and hooks if you feel like it
Its still just... kind of a crazy oversight if thats actually what happens
oh I'm stupid lmao
uhhhh no idea
I don't know what specifically triggers seed to return to your inventory, I know it'll come back if auri dies but idk if leaving the stage counts as killing it
iirc it's a downgrade for everyone except huntress and engie
i know a lotta chars like cap or mult rely on their m1, so that probably makes general sense
i think i have something that lists DT as worse but it is probably ooooooooooooooooold like pre-buff old
maybe railgunner too actually, I wanna say visions is around 480% dps but I can't remember for sure
that sounds about right
isn't Visions also better on Engineer until a certain attack speed
its better on engi yea
CD lowers total effectiveness of attack speed, but since it means getting to reload sooner its still good
been trying to find the attack speed threshold that Visions start to get outscaled
at base its 2s reload 3.5s ish of shooting, so AS will affect >50% of the cycle, but on like mando ofc it affects 100% of the cycle
i have a sheet for it
if you have a dps you want me to try and compare against i can try to rember how this thing works lmao
i have an even older sheet that says engis m1 is around 307%/s
Engi M1 yes please
also yea this is from the same sheet
I wanna know how much attack speed I need for base turret M1 to outscale Visions
hmmm i dont rember exactly how AS affects his m1, like if it can just be divided like other stuff
turrets are here and those i can easily change the AS on
i think i stored that info in the past but no idea where i put it. one sec
yeah honestly i don't care that much about Engi's M1, that's an unbindable skill XD
Turret M1 I very much care
325% AS is somewhat close to visions being equal
its slightly different for the two, i can get more precise if you care
nah I just wanna know what that is in terms of
/
both are really good, overall dagger is probably better imo but if you need more single target damage take shustice
i have 2 ukeleles, so i should probably go shattering justice?
damn that's like 22
317% on stationary is visions 0.12% better, so basically the same.
331% on mobile is visions 0.04% worse so basically the same.
15 syringes is +225%, so thats in the rough range
unless I'm bad at math and don't understand how item scaling works
since 100% AS is base
probably yeah
that's why i'm bad at math
ceremonial dagger is super strong, its a key piece for autoplay so it might be a better choice
shattering isnt super impressive but it is damage up, though it will probably be better against a final boss or smth
shustice also works on mithrix without
and gives you an easy debuff for death mark
ceredag has a lot of potential, but if you're set for crowd control and don't have FMP you'd be better off with the single-target damage
do you guys scrap bison steaks & other health or shield items for damage
bison steak is auto scrap if I'm not playing false son
but shields can be nice to have sometimes
& which are the best defensive items for commando or ranged i gues
if you can reliably use the scrap, always scrap
steak is nice on like s1 but after that its relevance becomes much lower... its decent on 2 but can be basically scrapped whenever you want and past s2 for sure its not super great anymore. psg can be much nicer as you scale because its %
if you have an item you really want available and arent feeling like the shields are currently really impactful you can just toss them for that, or if you have very strong healing you may want to toss shields
the only defensive/health items i consistently keep are slug, sometimes repulsion armor, and tougher times, rest range from situational to autoscrap
ay don't throw shade on my G

(same for pretty much every survivor)
PSG is essentially bison steak but with a ton of slugs for that health, so it's better than just max health until you get really good health recovery
I might be forgetting some
scrap is potentially VERY strong so if you have unnecessary defense bc you're either not getting hit much or it wont be enough to save you its almost always worth it to scrap
technically
is defensive
(and better than most people say it is, don't believe the slander)
on a base hp char like mando, you need ~313 health for 25 flat to be equal to 8%, so around lvl 7. before that steak is decent, after that it just continues to get worse
gets gutted on eclipse :(
was significantly better before they ported the console void infestor bug to pc
Fr I love hitting a void cradle and instantly getting murked ❤️
on higher hp chars steak falls off faster.
hitting lvl 5-7+ is not super tough....
sad but true
just gotta wait for a fix
Wait what bug
that's... not a bug though
but it's not that hard to be careful with cradles and polyp lol
The crazy dispersing?
the one where they don't jump in the air
Oh yeah
the one where void infestors shoot sideways out of the cradles instead of straight up like they used to
oh that's a bug yeah
They rarely shoot sideways though
Usually they just stand still for a second
Unless the cradle is fairly slanted
when they shot straight up, squid turrets would just yeet them into the stratosphere. But now they go sideways or just drop onto the ground
oh that hasn't been fixed in this update (unless I'm bad at reading)
really? it happens almost every time for me
Its a rarity for me
Since Ive been dealing with it since console sotv Ive gotten used to the timings and can basically exploit them being in that one spot to spawn camp em
Is Artifact Of Rebirth just ridiculously broken?
not really
is balance and artifacts supposed to be in the same sentence
it only lets you carry over one item and it's single-use, if anything it's kinda crap compared to command or sacrifice lol
ironically that's weaker than just having sacrifice
I prefer chests and shrines and stuff, with a sprinkling of random items in there tbh, rather than 100% only drop from enemies
even still
Have they fixed the bugged Logbooks for the variants of Bulwark’s in this new patch?
If I read this message from Wolfo right, it's fixed #1303048769423540296 message
What's a fun genesis loop build for engineer with command artifact? Like if i wanted to have fun
but also Disturbed Impact's log is still bugged (once again thank you Wolfo) #1282393853210660964 message
I guess I better get to testing
I mean,
is the obvious starting point
attack speed makes gloop's explosion go off faster
other than that you can really add anything you want to it, total damage procs would be good
you might actually want to avoid bungus and/or use mobile turrets, since you actually want turrets to get to low health to proc gloop and the elixir will take care of the healing
Doesn't elixir stop glupe from activating, same way it stops watches from breaking
nope, funny interaction
Does anyone know why my ror2 doesn't load past 79%? I have mods on
well your first vector of investigation probably should be to turn the mods off
the game just updated, mods are expected to break
Does potion proc reset once turrets go above threshold?
consumed items on turrets get refreshed each time you build a new one, as long as you don't lose your own copy
Oh, so stacking lysate cells are important in that gimmick build
I mean, a little? you can also just get more elixirs
Is the explosion affected by ignition tank?
Oh right
no
ignition tank only affects burn DoT
you may also consider 38
to permanently be under 25% should your shield never regens
it does, but at 38 stacks, it adds slightly more than 3 times your HP
which means over 75% of your total HP is shields
yes, the threshold is calculated with your total HP, which is health + shields
Oh lol. For command runs it's best to get 1 shipping request form to get more drops, right?
Does genesis loop have an internal cd?
it does! 15 seconds.
reduced with more loops
something to the tune of 30 / (1 + stack) per second
so 15, 10, 7.5, etc
Nice. I'll test out the suicide squad build later. Thanks 😁
if you want to consider an easier suicide squad build, Fuel Array
as long as you yourself don't get under 50%, you can lay down as many suicide turrets as you want
unless this was changed, no it doesn't
or at least, it's a lot less than 15 seconds
ye the actual formula I did mention right underneath
lock in
Is multiplayer working ok for you guys? My friend and I wanted to play but whenever we tried to join eachother's servers we would just appear dead on the other's screen and get stuck in a balck screen
multiplayer just seems to be kinda glitchy atm, I'm not sure how much was fixed in the update tho.
In my experience joining to a black screen normally means either one person has crossplay enabled, or an issue with incompatible mods, but mods are all probably broken right now anyway
what's the damage falloff for predatory instinct stacking?
it stacks linearly, so already every stack after is worse than the stack before
doesn't mean it's bad to stack it, because almost every item in the game is the same
you effectively get 24% attack speed per stack (36% on the first), assuming you keep the buff going
although unlike direct damage multipliers, all attack speed buffs (except tonic) are additive with eachother, not multiplicative
attack speed in general also has extra falloff due to frame rounding jank
Does predatory instinct activate per hit? Like per pellet of bandit/captain?
soooo it's really hard to calculate how effective it'll be when talking about large stacks of it
yeah, each hit is an individual proc
although the buff duration is affected by proc coeff
Has anyone done the maths what's the equivalent proc coeff of pellet shots?
you can just add them together
bandit's shotgun is effectively 2.5 per shot assuming all pellets land, captains' is effectively 6
So at 2.5 effective proc coef, aside from range, why go alt m1 on bandit?
because the procs on the rifle are stronger
keep in mind, most proc items use a % of the hit that procced them
Oooh. So better for things like atg?
the shotgun has a higher proc chance per shot, but the individual pellets do less damage. So like an atg would proc more often but the missiles would be a lot weaker
per pellet
the shotgun still has a higher proc chance per shot as said above
generally fewer people play rifle, it's a playstyle choice
rifle also has the accuracy to go with it
like, an atg from a shotgun pellet does around 300% damage, but from the rifle it would be 990%. So for the shotgun to roughly equal it'd need at least 3 missiles to proc from a single shot
theres 3 things to consider with ability stuffs
thing is, with total damage procs at least, proc chance isn't everything. You still have to consider the damage and coeff of each individual shot.
there's a VERY big difference between 500% damage with 2.5 coeff, and 5x100% with 0.5 coeff each
dps is just % x rate of fire
pps is procs per sec, which is the proc coeff x rate of fire
pdps is proc dps, for things like total damage, so atg and etc. which is all 3 terms, the damage %, the proc %, and the rate of fire
so for 5x100x0.5 your proc damage per shot would be all of those terms which is 250%
rifle is 330% right?
yeah
so 1x330x1 is 330% for total damage proc stuff
which is higher
it also has no falloff, shotgun does so at range it falls to half damage
you can use that for basically anything too
like commando m1 is 6 shots/s, 100% per shot for dmg and proc
so dps 600%, pps for like bleed and stuff is 6, and pdps is the full 600%
for nailgun its 70% dmg, 60% proc, and 12/s
so 840%/s, 7.2 pps, and 504%/s pdps
so nailgun is more damage, faster bleeds, but will be lower atg dps
does anyone know on which criteria gearbox chooses to implement the community suggestions
idk if anyone besides their team can know that haha
like there were ppl asking for fixing the physics so trimping and host skip would come back
ah damn
best we could do is go off the examples of things they liked in the past, but we dont have a ton to work with until the rebalance patch arrives
yeah
I assume they'd listen to things that a lot of people want and that more or less aligns with their views on the game
im okay with just playing on downpatch i just hope they fix the physics issues really
also gearbox pls remove pillars ill be forever grateful
personally i don't anticipate them rolling back the physics changes
afaik the physics changes were not done for any mechanical or balance reason, but rather for the sake of performance
the new physics are much more performant, and the drawbacks have been minimal at best
unmake hopoo's mistakes
not if you play merc or like host skipping
the tech you are describing are deep knowledge that the vast majority of the playerbase doesn't use or know about
ideally they'd find a way to re-implement those mechanics while keeping the better performance
yeah like hopoo made mistakes like pillars i really really think that was one of the worst decisions theyve made, maybe as bad as voidling
yeah but it adds depth to the game like rocketjumping or bhopping in quake, it would be a shame for that to be lost
i do think cool tech is nice to have, but given that better performance affects all players and niche merc tech + h0st skip affects only a small percentage of players, i have my doubts that they will roll it back solely for that
I think pillars were an attempt to call back to the blast doors on contact light, but they forgot about the part where contact light is fun and has actual loot behind the doors
i like the mods that make pillars drop items. makes them feel worthwhile
contact light keycard doors were interesting since they added effects to the final boss
they need to totally rework that honestly its baffling how decided to make pillars like that
having pillars in each area available but have some impact on the fight based on what combination you pick could be interesting
personally ive never had issues with performance pre patch only after sots so i think reverting is the best option
thats good too
yeah, I've seen a few people suggest something similar, it would be more fun than just being forced to do them for no reward
tbf just because you didn't have issues doesn't mean nobody did
hell you could just make them take a small chunk of hp out of a given phase of the fight, a phase for each type, and it would be somewhat neat
remember, people do play this game on the overambitious calculator that is the Switch
blood makes sense to take mith hp and soul could make sense to weaken (and maybe return an item) in p4
given that RoR2 is a massive CPU bottleneck in the worst cases and physics calculations are done by the CPU, upgrading the physics to be more performant is literally exactly the sort of thing you want to do when optimizing a game like this. like it's one of the most impactful things you can do across the board
i wonder how much is engine locked as well
ye i know im using my own personal experience here too its just that its annoying how cool tech is removed, maybe they can re-implement it in a different way
like at some point theres only so much you can do. i have noticed times where toooooooons of projectiles cause the host to lag but clients may be ok, presumably because they have less to think about
I definitely think they should re-add it, it's basically an intended mechanic at this point.
yeah and im ok with them not bringing back host skip just delete pillars lmaoooo
iirc hopoo specifically avoided fixing the quail/headstompers interaction because it was too useful to get rid of, I assume the same applies to other tech
i forget, does that one mod that downgrades the physics DLL add back h0st skip by happenstance
i should test that
yeah and for merc i think its not too big of an ask to reimplement trimps and booping because theyre basically part of his kit
teleport_on_cursor
its like if they decided to remove gunboats from soldier in tf2 lmao
thankfully since i still play prepatch i can just trimp as merc
sometimes i dont mind pillars and others i am annoyed by them
lowkey i was hoping gbx would rework commencement for sots
honestly sometimes ive just hit my 'charge zone' bind lmao.
if the dlc was just that id pay them full price for it still
i get to like 75% on a mass with nothing spawned and groan
https://thunderstore.io/c/riskofrain2/p/Thrayonlosa/KCCDownpatcher/
oh this might just do the thing
Pre-sots physics reintroduces a few "features" such as:
Mercenary bumping (Chef and False Son can also bump) Terrain clipping Fixes trimping causing positive fall damage Teleportation bouncing Old pot rolling
pot rolling
thats perfect
just pushing one into a corner to demo the gilded shield bug was annoying enough i just kept resetting the stage until i had one already in a corner, because it was faster
shoutout to the mod thumbnail btw that shit is hilarious
sawmerang
ok the funny, boomerang is basically smol samerang
normally, you cant launch a ton of saws easily. mid-late game with good proc coeff, you can get TONS of boomerangs stuck on walls hahahaha
it can be a lil laggy if its too bad
doesn't boomerang also cause bleed if you're carrying a sawmerang
oh i didn't even realize it also keeps the optimizations for enemies
honestly just implementing this mod wholesale into the vanilla game might do exactly what you're asking for without the performance loss lol
whenever i have boomer and good proc rates i love just randomly having 1-2 find their way back to me basically nonstop
also yea because they reused the projectile component without checking the byproducts of that lol (though tbf why tf saw coded like that)
yeah, it's literally just an if statement to check if you're holding sawmerang, isn't it?
the boomerang projectile that both use has a line inside of itself that checks your equipment and gives it bleed on hit if its saw
wtf lol
ok, goofy conspiracy theory based on absolutely nothing:
hopoo added that line as future-proofing in case they ever wanted to reuse the boomerang-style projectile, all they'd have to do is copy the code and leave out that line
but gearbox just went and copied the whole thing including that line
yea its just "if this is the boomerangprojectile component and if ur holding saw this damage instance should bleed"
i feel like
they could have just put bleedonhit as a damagetype... on saw...
i really hope they rework seekers special
they said they would
that logic reads to me like gearbox added that check explicitly so they could reuse saw for boomerang
like i cant imagine why that check would be included by hopoo when initially creating saw
sure maybe it would be for later usage but that's a really strange way to futureproof it
im excited for the changes and seeker is the coolest survivor MINUS that weird combo thing i know its weird but its really preventing me from liking the character
I doubt they'll get rid of it
thats why its weird lmao
they said they'd rework how tranquility stacks work though
im pretty sure it was there in the past
well i guess its something
hopefully saving grace isnt the 7th stack later lol
the weird minigame totally only exists because it was cool when helldivers 2 did it, but I'm fine with it
I just wish there was more strategy to using it besides immediately maxing the stacks, maybe waiting on the 7th if you're in multiplayer
i dont mind it
adds some uniqueness to lux seeker
since it heals and gives barrier, in multiplayer it can be worth pacing youself instead of rushing 6 stacks so you can get the heals and barrier as needed without wasting rez
cuz it feels like the rest of their kit has good synergy with one another minus the special
but it is a lil annoying esp since you kinda lose the ability at 6, unlike singleplayer
they probably designed it with multiplayer in mind
i jsut find it strange how powerful the rez feels and how underwhelming saving grace feels
to me it feels weirder because with the way Helldivers 2 is designed, stratagem codes are a mechanical skill that you can learn to get better at the game
you improve at the game by learning the muscle memory to speed-dial an air strike to take out patrols
but with seeker, the DDR is random, so you just kinda. have to stumble through it. it doesn't feel like you're learning a mechanical skill, it feels like you're playing impromptu simon says
like it could just be a 1up... like shaping or dios or smth... but they probably wanted you to save it sometimes.
I know, I'm just saying that's totally where they got the idea lol
yeah i dont mind that at all in fact i think its good coop'ers get that i just want seeker to have something more interesting for singleplayer too
and seeker probably shouldnt be able to rez herself as is since i suspect it would let you get infinite rez's unless they specifically lock it out for the stage
yeah, this
i would like to test some time rez looping with 2 seekers
i feel like it should work but without frend hard to test haha
something i feel like hopoo struggled with was making kits that have good synergy with each other tbh
like captain is one of my least favorite survivors because of it and seeker seemed to be a step in the right direction
rex and engie honestly feel more like supports than captain does
engie's fun to build, I wish he were a little more interesting to play
Can confirm Bulwark’s Ambry variants’ logbooks are no longer bugged.
Still don’t know abt Disturbed Impact
i dont even think gearbox has done this particularly well either. they've just made characters that actually have support tools that feel good to use
that's not really synergy, that's just what support tools do
I wish we had more survivors that have unique ways to use items like engie does
yeah maybe support tools is a better term
i dont really enjoy multiplayer tho tbh and what i want is instead for a character to be able to stand on its own while also having good support in multiplayer
imo the best way to do support in a game like this is just to have tools that benefit teammates as much as they benefit yourself
weaken, lunar ruin, bungus turrets, etc
nah the best way to support in this game is to get in a call and say nice things to each other while you both separately grind e8
that's the tricky part
that is the best way to do it, and that fact sort of closes up the design space and limits what kind of support you can make for a character
like you cant have anything resembling a tf2 medic type character without some major reworks. the medigun as a thing just doesn't make sense in ror2
uhh counterpoint you can ubersaw enemies and perpetually keep yourself ubered
its a stupid niche strategy tho tbf
you know what i mean :P
obviously tf2 medic is an extreme example but he points to an overall limitation in designing any character with support. they can't be certain kinds of support without being entirely unviable on their own
ye i do lol maybe something better would be like having a aoe heal that heals you as well as everyone in it
it would be good for yourself obvs but also for your drones too
true true
stuff like root and freeze also works, CC tools that other people can follow up on
the other issue tho is that i dont really like healing in this game
maybe cuz i play e8 but i prefer stuff that gives armor or barrier as opposed to healing
enemy debuffs i think are probably just the best way to implement team support tbh
i gotta check, what does Knight do again...
like im not bragging or anything but i dont really end up in situations where i need to heal, moreso i need to avoid getting hit in the first place
ror2's approach to healing is also kinda weird, at least compared to other roguelikes
usually health tends to be a rare-ish resource, but ror2 makes it really easy to heal almost instantly and counters it by making enemies do a ton of damage (or the other way around, same difference)
(talking about Starstorm 2 but) Knight will apparently provide attack and movement speed to himself and allies and now based on this conversation I'm wondering if it would be cooler if he gave defensive buffs
like in terms of a thing existing in ror2 design space that would fill a new niche, defensive support
yeah and idk by design healing items are a wasted item because if you scrap it you can potentially get more damage or utility item instead
part of me misses when most healing items were flat amounts and not a %
ehhh, healing items are a waste assuming perfect play, but you can't assume perfect play
the potential of a healing items as scrap is higher than the benefit they give as an item is what im trying to say
thats true like i always keep at least 1 slug or wungus but everything else i scrap
ofc you cant play perfectly but scrapping healing items means you can potentially get more mobility or dr which allows for more room of error in the first place
idk healing just exists in a weird spot for me lol
it depends on the build and character i think
like if im playing power mode nailgun mul-t i would want in-combat healing so i can sit in my turret mode for longer without having to bail and wait for recovery stuff to kick in
it doesn't help that the two items meant to help make healing more useful are pretty garbage

mhm true true one thing that annoys me about e8 is that it makes tanking builds unviable
righttt. i don't play any E8 but that's a good point
its kinda insane how brooch is just a better aegis and disciple is like nukahanas but good AND you dont even need healing
raincoat is a better aegis most of the time
i get that some reds need to be bad to be balanced but like jfc i feel like a lot of my runs most of my reds are bad
prolly for the best tbh, i enjoy the challenge but i wish the balance was done in a more interesting way that didn't make certain builds unviable
yeahh i was just thinking that
eeeeehhh, I don't think they need to be bad to balanced, they just need to be... y'know, balanced
the whole point of red tier is that the items are rare but strong
this is exactly why I don't like eclipse lol
i cant quit eclipse like i hate it it limits so many things but monsoon is too easy for me arrrgggg
now that we're on the topic of eclipse like can we talk about how stupid some modifiers are, like the fall damage modifier is basically non existent for merc and loader but cripples engi and captain
also rex lmao
rex is fucked on e8 because why not
for loader e3 is literally nonexistent lol
e1 also doesn't affect anyone but engie, and he's only slightly inconvenienced at worst
yeah and the only modifier that makes any meaningful gameplay difference is e8
e4 and e7 are kinda fun at least
yeah i guess so but i honestly couldnt tell the difference too much
rogue legacy 2 has a modifier I really like, which just makes it so early-game enemies have a chance to be replaced with equivalent lategame ones (so in ror2 lemurians would have a chance to be replaced with elder lems for example)
I really wish ror2 had stuff like that, it makes the game harder but not in a way that feels like the game is kneecapping you
oh yeah that would be so much more interesting
i just want eclipse modifiers to make the game harder but not in ways that are limiting
exactly
like other roguelikes do the difficulty progression system much better imo
what are the best lunar items on huntress? doing a monsoon run
Is it me or is multiplayer more difficult than playing solo's?
Essence of heresy (special skill) can be pretty good, her base specials aren't amazing and she's pretty good at stacking ruin
And shaped glass and transcendence are just generally good
is pretty much free
on anyone
actually works really well with her specials since they don't care about attack speed at all, if you're willing to give up her primary and secondary (at least until you can stack attack speed to get back to normal)
it's not just you, multiplayer increases enemy scaling by 50% per player.
it also gives you around 40-50% more loot, but the increased scaling can make things tougher than you're used to
That really sucks, I was able to convince 2 friends to try the game and we are having a hard time even making the first loop
There is any mod that balance or changes that?
it might help to start out on drizzle until you get the hang of things
I don't know of any off the top of my head, but the game just had an update so mods are broken right now anyway
Right
Anyways thanks!
np
and fwiw, the extra loot can sometimes make multiplayer a bit easier if everyone knows what they're doing imo, it just takes practice
Afax were you able to test my question about auri and leaving a stage mid tp event yet?
I'd like to put it into bug reports for being a potential oversight if you actually just lose all halcyon seeds that way
And testing it on console would be pretty tedious and rng dependent
I'm bored so I'll test it if they haven't yet
Ok so basically
Yeah I saw your earlier comment
Oh perfecf
DW lol
Ok nope halcyon seed just appears back in my inventory start of next stage
Oh wow they thought of that
yeah, I haven't had time to check
Pretty cool
good to know tho
It woulda been funny tho if people unintentionally did it in an attempt to unlock fs and just find themself in the alt path without the halcyon seed
it also would've been incredibly cruel though lol
It would make sense logic wise
After all you do just leave while aurelionite isnt attached to you anymore
Did a second one to double check with multiple seeds this time and still got them all back 👍
But yeah good to know that I wont have to fear auri accidentally getting left behind like a kid in a supermarket
is one stack of focused convergence enough? or is it better to get more?
Ehhhh
I wouldnt really recommend convergence for normal runs
Its quite a bit more risk for not much reward
It also doesnt do anything past 3 stacks
hm, what about corpsebloom
isn't it the one that doubles your healing but delays it?
Not delay but caps healing rate
never stack corpsebloom
wait, it halves the healing cap?
so you could get 5% max hp per second?
it can only store one healthbar worth of hp at a time though, so increasing the heal amount isn't worth cutting the heal rate in half since you'll just fill up the stored health cap faster
Yes
that's...horrendous.
yep
Yes
but a single corpsebloom is pretty good if you don't plan on looping
Especially if you also get a rejuv
Rejuv doubles both the first healing intake and also the healing you actually receive with the cap
So one corpsebloom and rejuv is effectively 8x healing at 20% max hp per second
well, I do want to kill mithrix this run
so I could take one corpsebloom for now
what are some good lunar items in general?
Lunars are usually very context and survivor dependent
well, I'm using loader
do they synergize with anything?
are generally solid for most survivors
Ironically
can sometimes be good on her IF you have a lot of backup mags and are good at grappling
the grappling hook is totally unaffected by move speed so stone flux has basically no downside as long as you stay grappled
(that's a pretty niche use case though lol)
Stone flux kinda also increases the grapple potential as the movement speed reduction also reduces friction
Though it wouldnt really be noticeable until a couple stacks
can also be good if you don't mind her gauntlet taking longer to charge
well. if I had SotV, light flux could be pretty good
since I got 3 soldier syringes
oh, welp
thanks for the help, i'll see if this is the run where I beat mithrix
oh,
might be worthwhile if you aren't using her normal primary much, having a decent ranged option against mithrix can come in handy
4x
8x
1x2x2?
rejuv doubles it
bloom doubles it again
rejuv doubles it again
2x2x2
First bloom and rejuv double the broad healing you receive
And then rejuv doubles the actual healing thats applied with the cap
Rejuv basically just doubles the healing thats initially stored and then again when its applied
what counts as "landing the killing blow on overloading worm as commander"
If the damage that killed the worm came from you or any of your non ally items it counts
You do know what an overloading worm is though right?
Yes but its somewhat unique
Its by far the most expensive boss for the game to use so you will have to be in a run for a while until one shows up
On monsoon you typically see them starting on stage 8 or 9, lower difficulties will take longer. Sometimes you can also get them earlier by stacking mountain shrines
Also I am curious if this bug still exists in 1.3.5
Its as simple as going out of bounds while staying in the egg form
I would test it myself but nintendo was too busy making alarm clocks to verify the update on time
I'm about to head out but I can try to check tomorrow if nobody else gets to it before me
K
Are they going to be adding achievements for the dlc as a part of the rework?
if i have more then 10 lens maker glasses does my crit damage increase since my chance is already 100%
ok
i have not the slightsest clue if this is the right place to ask but does anyone know if they are going to change the melee attack for the false son so it can actually hit the things by the end of the attack?
Most likely
are you replying to me or nah?
Yes
bad, transfers give way more damage than attack speed, and just a couple syringes make the transfers next to impossible
I didn’t even know that worked lol, it probably doesn’t hurt but also doesn’t matter much
whats the name of that one item that gives you stat buff everytime you exchange an item
You mean prayer beads?
yeah that ty
I keep dying on the 8th stage no matter what, what are some things I can do to get past that hurdle
I just get instakilled by a elite enemy
its most likely a mobility issue, main thing that's important for looping is getting used to item macroing with scrappers and printers to consolidate your items into the mobility you need to survive and the damage you need to kill stuff before it kills you
also 1) is it any elite type in specific and 2) do you have seekers? if the answer to both is yes and it's the one that makes the blue bubble (not the one that makes things invisible) then it's not really your fault at all and there's kinda no counterplay
does 7 stacks of tranquility give you an extra life?
on the description it says it grants a revive but for me it doesnt
No
oh. why does it claim to give a revive?
it only revives your allies in multiplayer for now
The revive is caused directly by the 7th meditate and doesnt work on yourself yet
wait so if someones dead and i hit stack 7, they come back to life?
Iirc gearbox mentioned on the roadmap that they intend to make it work on yourself too
yep
Not just someone but any amount of players
ooh thats awesome
all people get revived?
Yes
the 7th stack is basically the same as a seed of life active use
wow haha thats awesome
plus the golden buff for people who are still alive
the golden buff is just a elixr right?
Pretty much ye
a weaker elixir yeah
fair
Its the same numbers no?
and are you only allowed 1 gold per stage? i tested to try and get it again. no dice
Yes
fair! tysm
Though
It activates at the same threshold but iirc it only heals you to 75%
The golden buff is also the thing that gives you the 7% stat boosts fyi
yes, it isnt to full
someone said each ability gets an individual, hidden buff?! ill definitely forget about that since the game doesnt tell you about it lol
Yes
honestly knowing seekers I wouldn't be surprised if it's supposed to be a full heal but just doesn't scale properly or smth
yeah nah i dont mess with stuff im not told lool
The primary gets more damage I think
Unseen hand gets increased lifesteal
The balls get to hit more times before disappearing
Forgor what it does with soujourn
sojourn gets increased radius
also how do you see these bonus stats? even with lookingglass i see no improvement regarding any stats
It's specifically the third hit of the primary, and it gets increased just enough to proc bands
the wiki because every game needs to have obscure information like that
You should see a 7% improvement when you get the golden buff, rather than a 1% improvement on each stack
WAIT NEVERMIND. yeah the 7th is the one that gives the bonus
thanks. i guess i was confused because the whites do…… nothing then?
it doesnt yes
People use debugtoolkit to figure this stuff out
the white ones are the ability buffs
For example usually they give themselves 100 leeching seed to check the proc coefficients
they could word it better lol. by “1% per stack” i assumed each stack gave 1% lol. not the golden flower gives 7%
Yeah the description is very bad on that one
confusing
thanks guys
Sup, im quite new to the game can someone tell me what are the Seeker's core items?
Any damage negation will make you be able to stay in sojourn longer and therefor increase its explosion damage
uh, what's this?
it looks like there's something behind it, but I can't find any activations for it
some versions of the stage have that door open, and you can access the back caves. there's no way to open it yourself, it's just determined when the stage begins
if the door is closed then nothing should be spawned back there
i see.
neat.
Except the newt altar sometimes
Is the Void Family event supposed to be able to happen on Commencement on the first loop? The official wiki says both after 5 stages, but also only after looping
I didn't know a family event could happen on the moon period
i didn't either. I've probably had like 300 hours since SOTV, and I've never encountered one lol
it can't happen on commencement that's a mod
Okay, thank you.
I made it to stage six, but I'm totally lost, been lost for like 20 minutes. What's my goal?
Why can't we downpatch officially-
That's my game question.
Because almost no major release outside of minecraft has official downpatching
Since you own a license to ror2 and not the entire game too, you get the latest release
They don't support the old versions, like for multiplayer, iirc
Since they use steam servers
(peer to peer)
Pear to pear
Hello, find the way to the rescue ship, but I think I've been all over the map? I've just been activating some pillars.
yeah it should say something out of 4
activating and charging 4 of them unlocks something in the map
||pillars|| ||jump pad|| ||Mithrix|| ||escape sequence||
There's beams of light that show where to go for the first 2
Ah, just found it
There's a dude up here almost killing me in one hit.
That's what he do
mitchel my man
Big man with the hammer
Bro has the anvil head
I always forget this exists

Anyways that's one of 3 or 4 or 7 final bosses depending on how you see it
He totally kicked my butt. That's the furthest I ever got.
You got him, gotta get used to the patterns
Eventually he becomes the easiest fight once you have knowledge
I got him down to half, but he almost kills me in one hit, I learned a lot from getting that far. I think I spent too much time lost?
Just try to get more items than minutes spent for a "good" run
Although the build itself matters, like what items are good
not really, I can assume you said you died as soon as he killed you
and that aint much time since when you found the launch pads
so you had good damage, just didn't know the fight
4 minutes yeah, but that might be a long fight
Don't read this Sheldon but omega ||he doesn't know about the other phases, he's not really half||
It would be a decently long fight
I was lost for 20+ minutes before finding the pad. I have an artifact of command(I found it on accient). I'm playing Artificer I got a bunch of missles and teddy bears. Not sure if that's a good build.
eh
What're some good items for her?
atgs do work but without the other damage multipliers they won't carry you
I had glasses and the guitar thing.
even if choosing items is fun, I don't recommend it until you know more about the other stuff
it will substantially decrease overall game knowledge if you just rely on only stuff you know
also you are really not looting enough lol
I see, I don't know anything just pausing and looking at the wiki, no clue what to pick.
I would definitely play without AoC until you've unlocked all the items
what items should i get on mercenary?
you can also click on your inventory when pressing tab to check what an item does
Does it interfear with unlocking?
It doesn't but you'll get a better understanding of the items and their synergies playing normally
A lot of items amplify each other, so getting a diverse set it good, and having wide synergies gives you more options which can be helpful when you haven't yet learned which synergies are best when and on which chars and stuff
outside of the usual suspects (mobility, procs, bands, a little defense) focus crystal is quite nice, crit and bleed builds work well, and both specials are VERY good candidates for lysate cell
Hey I haven’t played in a long while have they added cross-play between pc and PlayStation yet? Or talked about it at all?
No
;-;
Hey im new to the game, how come there arent any multiplayer lobbies available?
hi new to the game, I'm omega
😭
check if you have epic games crossplay checked, that freaks stuff up
otherwise, it's a chewsday
Theres only 2 servers, im sorry I just thought more people would be on😭
yeah, more people tend to log in by their respective night time timezones
you can check on steamdb when is the peak player count based on your region
Alright
How does the one shot protection work?
I think this thing whatever it is killed me in one hit? Or maybe it was a burst?
if you have 90% hp or more, you cannot die in one hit
Basically you cant take more than 90% of your max health in one hit
You can, however, be hit multiple times really quickly. The lunar chimera is a minigun enemy, and probably just hit you a lot in a small time frame
what are the best red items for huntress
just the normally good stuff, she doesnt really have any particular special synergies
are standouts
can be pretty good
icbm especially if youve got good missile stuff going already
is basically always really strong and you dont need to do anything special to get its power
also can be a ton of damage as long as you have a way to get height, but you may or may not with huntress
when there are lots of elites
can be pretty solid since overloading and blazing are free damage ups and gilded can be a lot of defense
(sending this here to link for education purposes because it doesn't embed in discussion)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J20zM2enLg4
I managed to do that second part on the first try
also does
still work for pillar skip with a little bit of movespeed? someone said it was worse nowadays
for proc
for burst
like on commando i'd take atg, loader kjaros
but ATG is mostly because the damage is good, and it scales well with

10% chance to fire a missile that deals 300% (+300% per stack) TOTAL damage.
Generally better to diversify items rather than stacking one though
true, unless like command and you can have speed and survivability with grey items
that and loader can win with a band printer since built in armor, shield, and speed
Shuriken also stacks really well on survivors that work well with it
But yeah, it's almost always better to have a mix of different damage items so that they build off of eachother
funny enough the hardest thing about a proc chain is having the target live long enough for it to keep going
easily the strongest thing in the game, but luck dependent
That's where on-kills come in, willo and ceredag can make proc chains last way longer
Basically:
Good at starting proc chains:

Good at adding damage to proc chains:
+ any other damage multipliers
Good at making chains last longer:

The will smith in the willowisp emote will never not be amusing to me
Not including sots items because they're likely to change, but runic lens is probably a starter and boomerang kinda does a bit of everything
Ehhh runic is also pretty uhhh damn op at making chains longer
As things procced from it can reproc it
Nop
Well then
Well at least it used to not
Maybe gearbox snuck a fix for that into 1.3.5 without putting it in the patch notes
Or maybe they just didnt care enough to do it when theyre gonna rework it soon anyways
The bug fixing priorities of gearbox are an enigma to me
Like they fixed this tiny ass texture bug for switch that nobody noticed but didnt do anything to the music cutting out all the time
Yeah the fixes were very random lol
one is probably easier to fit in last minute than the other
if they fluff up the list it makes the players happier than if there was less done
I asked in console discussion who else noticed that
Literally not one switch player did
It still like fits in somewhat decently
the music floor does not really fit in unless that's the tunnel
Compared to for example that one patch of grass on sirens call thats been floating in the air ever since console sotv
Which I think ive even seen be like that on pc now too
there's one on verdant i know about
during the spiral vine climb there's some floating grass
but i've never heard of siren's call grass
I dont think I ever bothered taking a picture of it
Because its just... that unmissable
You underestimate my ability to completely ignore small details in the environment
I don't think I've ever noticed any floating grass or other weirdness lol
Anyway my optimistic explanation for this patch is that they've mostly been working on the item changes, and this patch is just whatever random fixes they had ready so that they would at least have something to give us
@visual grotto
how do you get pots up slopes as railgunner? the utility skill no longer works
yeah thought so. railgunner hitbox is too small, or a triangle, feels like
It's more thst the pot hitbox is weird, it's a cylinder iirc
I'm pretty sure all the human survivors have the same-sized collision box except maybe loader
anyone know where i can find some sort of guide for finding the artefact codes? I don't just want to look up the solutions, i was really hopping to get screen shots of all of them but I can't for the life of me find them on certain maps? do they not always spawn in? or am i just really dumb :(
They should always be there, but they aren’t on every map, especially if you have any DLCs enabled
Also there are 2 that you can’t find in game
is it possible that the locations changed? I'm currently in the Titanic Plains, and i have the locations pulled up and i can't find where this is??
(source: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2043078885)
There are three giant pillar things on the main map, none have it, and the ones off the map are way too far to see as i just get teleported back inbounds?
Nope
remember that there are 2 variants for titanic plains and distant roost
if you can't find it, it's probably on the other variant
oml, tysm. i've looked on each of those for an hour each xP
how do i get the other variant to spawn? is it just a random thing? or do i have to loop or something?
it's just random, reset until you get it
alrighty, thanks!
np
Does cautious slug decrease void fiend’s corruption?
no
No, healing and regen are separate and only healing counts
Slug is regen so it's fine
"healing" means you see green numbers over your head
Much appreciated, thank you guys.
Np
can halycon shrines spawn every stage?
It should be able to spawn on any stage from what it seems..... buuuuuuuuut gearbox simply didnt put the shrine in for existing stages past stage 2
Same with all other sots interactables
Do you mean "it should be" as an opinion or are you saying they're supposed to be
Supposed to
Ah fair
Unless the sots interactables really just arent meant to spawn on any stage 3 4 and 5 except for the sots stages which would be... an odd decision
Certainly, and this dlc is a stranger to odd decisions
what does a yellow hp bar mean for enemies?
that they are regular enemies
red is for bosses
as in teleporter/final/special bosses in particular
purple is void, doesnt mean anything its just cosmetic
blue is shield
red can also mean they have
yeah, you'll only really see that in void fields or on scavengers
or evolution
Not quite true
Afaik all and exclusively enemies of the void team have a purple bar
I mean, it IS just cosmetic, it doesn't change anything about how their health works
it just tells you that they're on void team
I mean yeah technically its just cosmetic but knowing which team an enemy is on can be pretty useful info
void team =/= infestor team
they both get a purple hp bar but they are enemies
Whar
void enemies and voidtouched enemies fight each other
even if its a voidtouched void enemy
Not really
so a void reaver would attack a voidtouched void reaver
yes that quite literally happens ingame
Nat spawning void enemies are part of the enemy team but void enemies spawned through a void seed are on the void team
And iirc the void enemies on the enemy team also lack the purple hp bar
Void enemies on the enemy team are actually my main reason of finding the purple hp bar important
Knowing when a void enemy can be infested and when not can save you from getting confused by an infestor suddenly just corrupting another void enemy
Hello, i am quite new to RoR2 and i love it!
Most of the time i manage to get to Stage 5 already - however, most of the time in the hidden realm "Bazar of Time" i loose myself the game. Either i buy one of the blue items that have huge drawbacks that don't fit into my current build or i pick one of the two items that also recycles some of my items that seem to make my build work.
Should i just skip the bazar until i know what i am doing? How can i make more use of the bazaar?
Youre not doing much wrong actually in terms of learning the game
Most lunar items are pretty situational or change how you play through the rest of the run by a good bit so it takes knowledge and/or the proper skill to utilise them effectively
As for the cauldrons
Try to get a feel for when its worth to lose some of your items in favour of a singular stronger item
Scrapping items you dont need or cant make use of will also mitigate the randomness factor as cauldrons also prioritise scrap over other items
Thanks! Didn't know the scarps are also used outside of 3D printers. So i should already have scraps when entering the bazar i guess
Also, is the huge spike in difficulty between stage 3 and 4 normal or just my "build" (picking all i can get) lacking
Because of that, a common strat that people usually use on long runs is Bazaar with 5
👀
Lunar items are also very much a big big commitment
the way I learn them is just to sacrifice a run to them, lol
picking the lunar up and trying to work with it is always the best way to learn it
Full looting is widely considered the optimal way to progress through stages
however, I strongly recommend knowing all other items before learning lunars
Thanks. In my last runs i just picked up all of them because i thought those are unique and/or active items. That was ... an experience
simply because lunars usually shine the most through their interactions with other stuff
knowing what other stuff there are makes you understand lunars way better
Also recently there was a bug that made elite enemies spawn twice as frequently from stage 3 and onward which inflated the difficulty scaling
That bug has been fixed by version 1.3.5 which released a few days ago so you will likely find stage 4 to be less brutal from now on
It definately was easier on my try yesterday
But i cant judge whether that was from my build or my gained experience
but know i know why probably^^
Two ways you can try to optimize your itemization
- Learn what items are bad, scrap them, and find good printers/Bazaar cauldrons! Items that are bad/don't work with the way you play, early game likely wouldn't really save you anyway.
- Optimize your pathing throughout the map. Have a route to check all corners of the map quickly. You should full loot, but a more general tip that people around here like to give is getting to 1 item/min or above
Void HP bar isn't Void Team it's just if the body is tagged as Void that's why Void fiend has it
The tag does nothing other than this i'm pretty sure
Getting the Void elite buff is also meant to add this tag that's why Wake of Vultures can make your hp bar purple. But it's not done in "recalculating stats" it's done in "inventory change" and adding a buff doesn't change your inventory so you'd need to pick up an item while the buff is there
all my enemies have red health
they occasionally swap to a yellow bar for reasons i dont quite know. i notice it after a child teleports so maybe its immortality?
afaik unkillable status doesnt have any visual effect
hey i know this was discussed here a while ago but does every base map in the original game has a hidden artifact code? even considering variations?
also, are there any new ones that also have codes?
well it stacks pretty poorly so like no?
moon and grove do not have one, unsure about the plains and roost variants
verdant has one
ah it's white scrap nvm yeah probably not actually worth 5 bands
yep punished for greed
only sonorous when ur looping
u can cheese by getting sonorous, going gilded portal
dont spawn the boss, afk ontop till director credits max out to spawn bosses for sonorous to proc
rinse and repeat HAHAHAH
if you got an hour to spare you could just wait the timer out to keep getting bosses I guess??
losing sale star in the trade was like minus another 3 or 4 items
Yeah especially losing the second guaranteed red with sale star for stage 4.
Definitely wasn't the right choice.
u win some u lose some its all good
gl on the eclipse grind
just finished mine not long ago
ahhhhhh wave 5 spawns enemies with red health because theyre bosses… i see. i was confused my bad
Speaking of health bars, do the colours of health bars mean anything? Like I see enemies with orange health, red health, and purple health but I'm not sure if it means anything or if it's just because they're a certain type of enemy
Different health can mean a few things
Like void enemies are actually on different teams and fight other normal enemies
In general orange health means there's overhealth
, blue is shield
Clear is "curse' where it's missing permanent health, like glass or eclipse
Yes but its different for every survivor
And realistically you never reach that point in a run
Attack speed for most attacks is pretty much just sped up animation
And at some point it cant be sped up anymore leading to the varying caps
Pretty sure Barrier on enemy hp bars is white, not like you'd see it ever
Maybe, but in general it'll be orange
And I'm assuming orange health is like the sots team?
Red normal, purple void team, orange sots?
there is no sots team and purple isn't void team it's just void character
I assume they just mean yellow instead of orange
I think they just mean normal with orange
I was just going off of what he said
I knew about normal health and void enemies health
Very rare to find a void team normal enemy but they happen
like the game forgets to give them the void elite aspect but they spawned in the void seed anyways
Its so confusing when that happens lmao
Wait this can actually happen? Lol that'd explain why I once saw a solus control unit attacking stuff
It used to be fairly common in console sotv
If it was a little probe, that could just be from a void normal
Like ghost beetle queens summon normal BGs on your team
He spitting though
responding to the 3+ year old message is crazy
I didn't ping him
So is linking one 😞
i merely showed him the easiest way to remove OSP
Fair enough
So does shields actually not impact osp?
The woolie brainrot is insane
iirc shields still count as max health but glass does not
I didn't realize he had no idea what he was talking about slurs and shit advice aside I thought he was somewhat knowledgeable about the game
same with eclipse curse
Yeah glass makes sense
although i might be wrong about shield? let me check
i know at least 2+ years ago it removed OSP
Shield doesnt remove osp 😭
of course shields don't literally remove osp it just makes it harder to regain 90% max health
Well ghor said it doesn't
Glass removes OSP ever since like, real early on
And it ain't even that hard
yeah i havent heard someone actually argue it in years, so i was like 95% sure
So Transcendence has literally no downside whatsoever
no healing items
Aside from healing items being pointless
the downside is the upside
but yeah now you can print all of your healing into more useful items
if you hate shields in general or on that run then you just hate shields yknow
I love Transcendence even if it did remove osp I wouldn't care having that extra hp and being able to quickly recover for just not taking damage for 7 seconds is nice
If you have Overwhelming healing scrapping shield gens can save your life, it's rare and shield can also save your life but yknow
I love scrap food especially if I find gasoline and will o wisps printers 💀
honestly it "messing up osp" was just part of the same "5 minutes or bust" thing where it's just a skill issue
But yeah that's insane how woolie is objectively wrong about shields
they couldn't not get hit for 5 seconds back then
I used to have the OSP brainrot
It's not something that should be taught so willy nilly
True
but you can objectively lose a run because of shield gens
not worth thinking about unless it's like a deep loop you really wanna keep alive
but then there's also plasma shrimp you'd really want a lot of shield gens for
if you got shield and opal and warped echo rn I guess that's like a stupid op synergy as well
Like the echoed damage could take a safer charge but like very minor anti snyergy
While tougher times has a actual synergy with Warped
ah, wasn't sure if it would like take both items on one hit or something
If you block the damage you block the damage no warped echo
Just like if echo activates, in the 3s you gain safer spaces again yknow maybe a bit of a waste
Good to have another reason to use Tougher Times over safer spaces
Did this ever get reported? Not pinging bc you're on do not disturb just hoping you see this
Yes, also feel free to ping im on DnD to not get notifs LOL
I check my pings and stuff when im available. Maybe i should note that on my profile or something
I dont mind pings or mentions since they give me a backlog and i can get to them whenever im available
But yea the laser is great. If you spam it off CD its not too tough to max the tickrate in one run by the time you hit moon or smth, and starting a new run with max tickrate laser is extremely silly
my brain is so rotted I read DnD and Dungeons and Dragons, not Do Not Disturb
I use the acronym for funny ambiguity
does happiest mask work on mithrix/voidling?
i know it does on voidling, but idk about mithrix
since each voidling is a different enemy you corrupt him and then go to the next area to fight the "next" voidling
i believe it can make a ghost of mithrix, but idk about every phase
it can on the last one at least
Mithrix doesn't die so no, Hurt-Mithrix (phase 4) does die and it works on him
he can also drop lunar coins and such
Dunno why False son and Voidling don't also have a "fake death" like Mithrix but yeah those work
for the better tho Mithrix in the log says you killed him 0 times
for eclipse runs do i only need to get e8 with the og survivors to get the gold markings? or does dlc+modded count to?
So I can’t seem to get an answer to this. Can Xbox players play with steam players?
Game doesn't know if a character is modded, yeah you'd need all of them
I believe not
Not entirely sure how dlcs are handled tho
Nope
Dang
Crossplay between platforms does not exist
well damn. guess i mmight just mod in the gold badge at e8 whenever i get all real characters done ig
Welp thanks for the clarification
There’s a mod called EclipseArtifacts which lets you play with all the eclipse modifiers
@full apex so ALL the fog in the voidling fight and parkour is just... gone for switch and it'd interest me if this bug is present on all versions
Its still in simu and probably also vields though
Unless its multiplayer related which I doubt
How can i NOT loop? I just had the run of my life and somehow i didn't get to mithrix.. am i not allowed to go to the lunar store?
Also, whats wrong with the overloading mana worms? 😦
Actually its just overloading worms
Theyre a different creature than magma worms although they are very similar
they ended my op run fast
Theyre a very high cost enemy to spawn so you only see them late into a run
jeah, on the last level of the second loop or so
is there a a way to make items not appear on my character
Not without mods
do you know which mod
no, switch player
presumably one of these would be worth checking out
i havent used them but they popped up at the top with lotta DLs and its a simple concept so i assume they may do what you want
Im having trouble getting my friends to join the lobby after we all get together in the main menu. Any suggestions?
we all have no mods on, verified our game files, and restarted our games.
multiplayer has just been very glitchy lately, there may not be a fix besides waiting for a patch.
Normally the first thing I'd suggest would be to make sure everyone has crossplay turned off since it causes issues, but I've heard that may not work anymore.
If it's off then you can try turning it back on, some people have been saying it works for them (although you still have to deal with the usual crossplay bugs)
that worked thanks
New to the game, anywhere i could find some good colorbind settings/mods? Would love to customize the color of the item rarities. Kinda crazy a game like this has seemigly zero built in colorblind settings
If you're on PC, I found these 2 mods. But I have not tried them myself.
https://thunderstore.io/package/TheBobers/ColorblindRarities/
https://thunderstore.io/package/nekoli/nekoli_Colorblind_Mod/
Yeah i saw those but they seem to be the only ones

and what have you
