Flame bolt better in almost all situations.
Either secondary works (I mildly prefer spear* but sway between them over time).
Snapfreeze is very good and has no alts.
I personally prefer flamethrower, but only so much. I can use either effectively. You just have to be aware of what you're running and how that effects how you should play and build.

I used cheat engine to play as enemies some time ago. Playing as Mithrix was fun, but also kinda frustrating (mostly because his animations sometimes force you to stand still for a hammer twirl or move an exact distance forward that usually misses enemies).

After about level 105 or so they level up every few seconds
Doesn't take long before they start spamming levelups. It's a great challenge and also kinda loud (which is why the mod removes the sound after a while by default).
