the whole osp thing with shields works like this

you will have full normal 100% fresh certified one shot protection even if you have a shield generator, and if you take enough damage to get one shot it will work as intended. however, if you lose enough shield to have less than 90% of your total "healthbar" remaining, then your osp will be gone until enough shield is regenerated again, even if you're at full health and your actual green/red health is still below 90% of the total bar itself.

it would be an alright niche item if it gave you a secondary barrier interaction
like armor when you have barrier/slower barrier decay etc
in the current state aegis needs an insane amount of setup to work and when you have THAT amount of items so that aegus actually does something its already irrelevant ur too strong
