P. sure you can parry anything, including fall damage
You can parry any damage instance including fall damage or chance shrines

Pretty much the same as ror2 (we can mess with a lot of the parts of it in the code for the trials)
Depends on skills most can proc on everything they hit, main 2 exeptions are CHEF cleaver and Arti Chackram only being able to Proc once per throw, indicated by white damage number on first enemy hit and yellow numbers on others.

That's an attempt to start a civil war. There is no shared opinion about survivors. People have different playstyles and their experience is not the same.
All I can do is to express my personal opinion on the matters:
Engi/Miner/Drifter are best survivors overall.
Enforcer shown the worst performance out of all survivors in most situations.
alternative drons can be really strong if you can find and keep the initial stacks to snowball, however it's always a headache for every new stage

The best in my opinion are: Engineer, Drifter, Acrid, Mercenary and Enforcer
Worst: HAN-D, Artificer, and Pilot

Pilot is honestly busted, Vertical damage in mostly horizontal game is really strong.
For most part, all are at minium viable, tho artificer technically has highest skill floor making her "worst".
I personally don't like him, his vertical damage is strong sure but I don't like playing as him tbh
maybe i'd put him in mixed
but as of right now, I personally dislike pilot, but also, im the same mf who plays enforcer
i personally like mercenary chef and loader
And top contenders are for most part somehow balance breaking ones, Drifter, Engi are both benefitting relatively more from items than other survivors.
chef's m1 is so good in crowd control but other abilities feel a bit basic
no opinion of Chef, haven't played him extensively

How so? If I understand the process correctly it works like this:
Engi has x1 syringe and x1 Duplicator
Engi puts a turret which has both those items now
Engi picks up any item, let's say a Tough Times
Engi receives a temporary copy of Tough Times
Turret doesn't get anything

I’m guessing they mean the turrets get a temporary stack of everything upon being placed
As in, they get literally doubled items (minus the duplicator) for a short period

chakrams pushing enemies into you with the boxing gloves
and last one, while technically not a bug, nanobomb immediately charging up another one with a backup mag after the initial bomb is done being charged. i think it would be a nice quality of life change to have it so seperate inputs are required for each nano bomb. i mean, its nice to hold down the button and destroy everything after like 5 loops, but at that point you dont need it anyways.
Personally I made seperate posts for bugs I found (tho didn't have any that were multiple on same character/session) however I'd say make single post with bullet points since they all are Arti related.
You can also do quick searches in the bug reports/feedback to see if they are posted already and you can add to the threads if they exist already, also having new thread in bugs isn't too bad since you can't expect everyone to look them up beforehand.

how do you win with melee characters
I've been having trouble getting past later stages with melee characters
the screen kinda gets too cluttered in stages 4+ to be able to dodge effectively at close range
are you spamming jump
usually, yeah, when it gets to a point where I cant tell what's happening on the screen
they all have some kind of tool in their kit to mitigate most incoming attacks
primary's knockback, healing/speed drones
frequent on-demand iframes and rapid repositioning with secondary and special
default utility trail is good for kiting and epidemic can be a very slow emergency damage tool when engaging something that WILL hit you otherwise. acrid is a tough one because you defo will have to trade damage a lot for efficiency
parry is very abusable if you're running it, eviscerate is good on demand iframes you can bunnyhop through and after image is the principle of "they can't hurt me if they're dead"
on demand iframes when you need them while still being able to get damage in, pylons can be used to great effect to clear hordes (even those damn bugs)
primary's knockback, and optimization of salvage will generally keep you having at least something to keep you ahead of the curve
aside from allat, it's just kind of figuring out how to separate enemies from other enemies by figuring out how they path to positions differently and what they can and cannot do mobility wise
as well as getting better at focusing on the absolute batshit chaos of the horde and not getting mentally overwhelmed

Which of miner's and loader's attacks have iframes?
default secondary for both, default utility for miner
the iframes on miner's default secondary is really good because it doesnt have a cooldown while scorching is active
don't forget scrap cube on drifter
You don't need to jump around nearly as much as people suggest, but you get a feel for the timing and how the movement works over time
Also getting a feeling for your damage output at different parts of a run, based on what items you've nabbed etc.

havent got cremator and 2 survivor log
do you not loop very often? they become pretty common in their stages after a bit, but if you don't loop then they are pretty much 50/50 one offs
I have Providence's log and not Cremator's log because I'm pretty sure I have killed Providence more times than I've killed Cremator
I have over 130 hours in Returns and still can't figure out how to beat Cremator consistently. Which is really weird because in RoR1 it's a complete pushover for me

so far what I`ve been doing is just get a guardian heart, a cape and as many scarfs as possible
and I`ve had by far the most success on mercenary and engineer
but at some point the bombs from spite get too numerous to negate all of them

I got annhilitaed when I used pilot
I feel like his damage is too low for glass
and he relies too much on his utility so it`s a disaster when it gets blocked
His m2 allows some very safe poking
Mobility doesn't really matter tbh if you using the alt utility
just watched a guide for this and yeah i'd have never figured it out on my own. i don't play on drizzle lol
the first red should be daggers, with glass it just clears screens once you get the chain going

First Green clover, preferrably farm it before first teleporter boss to drastically increase your loot chance, also changing Game rules to 200%/10% Damage Done/taken, Drizzle if you are fine with that.

Run demonstration of unlocking Artifact of origin, main tips are to get clover and topaz brooch as soon as possible and some mobility before starting to stack Barbed Wires.
Also if you don't mind altering the Rules Intensity, swapping to Drizzle, 200% Damage Dealt and 10% Damage Taken makes this much easier.
You really want to have at least 1 c...
I dont want to do it on drizzle and with 200% / 10% damage modifiers, but I'm gonna try out farming with clover in stage 1, I didn't think of that

Golems work too but if you really want "fast" start put on Cognation, tempus and Prestige artifacts aswell, then keep ~15-30 stack of clovers (going over 60 with high spawning enemy can cause drastic performance issues) And primarily stack barbed wires

You can also reset until you get the cognation variantcdesolate forest, the cognation golem counts as a hidden event boss as well. Though doing this requires you to have new stage variants enabled, and reduces your chances of getting either direseeker or acrid, but i think its worth. Also the golem is tough so beware

all ik is redone sprite work, and ability unlocks
New items and survivors, configurable QoL features (like not having to kill all enemies to proceed to the next level), the ability to move while shooting for all characters, a ton of extra unlocks
not having to kill all enemies is a big enough of a selling point for me
It's just generally a massive upgrade imo

Why is it that people say Returns is harder than 1? I've played 1 again recently cause it's one of the only games my laptop can handle streaming, and there's a bunch about 1 that made it IMO easier... Like, the QoL isn't there like moving while shooting etc. but enemies wouldn't be able to follow you as much, can't climb ropes/ladders and often just refused to fall off a tiny step to continue walking to you
Swift issue
Swifts aren't that much of a difficulty bump IMO, like they're just annoying
If anything volatiles need a bit of a tweak... sometimes they fire off 1 rocket their whole life and sometimes they'll shoot off a volley upon spawning lmao

Overloading is still harder to deal with than volatile in most cases, I feel like the overloading effect in ror2 is more fair but this is a ror1 remake, no way they're changing this
Volatiles can randomly decide they're going to shoot out a volley that instantly tracks and hits you

Yeah but missiles still have a trajectory. If you're playing a melee character and you see an overloading lynx totem no way you're getting out of that

Elite Lynx Totems are another thing entirely. I think there's only Leeching that isn't problematic in the game 😹 I mean, the archers in particular are dangerous af even when it's just leeching

Yeah sometimes Volatiles are very predictable and easy to dodge, sometimes they will just instantly pummel you

ror2 mountain shrines have linear item scaling and exponential difficulty scaling, rorr mountain shrines have exponential item and difficulty scaling
Probably not? Like 3 of the same normal bosses give 3 items, but an elite boss only gives 1
In ror2 a mountain shrine is guaranteed +1 boss/green item, but not quite in rorr
later into the runs id say they are worth more due to larger packs going even further. but if you get a single overoading worm instead of 2-3 normal ones youd lose items
i think rorr mountain shrines tend to give groups of bosses more often than a few elite ones
If you looped and the teleporter already spawns elite bosses, then mountain might be worth it
But even later in the run it might spawn blighted bosses... I haven't seen one tho
comes down to the gamba tbh, will it spawn more instead of making elites
Idk the exact chance, but I gave up on hitting moutain shrines in stage 3+ after getting overloading lynx totems on stage 5

Does anyone know how damage randomization works in this game? damage in general is obviously supposed to be based on survivor damage, which is true for the most part, but there is also some slight randomization that allows for dealing less or more damage. I tested this with commando's primary at level 1 against stone golems, and below is a table of this. Value refers to the damage of an individual shot, and frequency refers to how many times a shot dealt that much damage. Since commando has 12 damage at level 1, and one primary shot deals 60% damage, theoretically this should average at about 7.2. The average I found through this data seems to trend towards 8, but this could be potentially explained by the game rounding decimals up. I did find it interesting however that the most common damage value (by a decent amount) is higher than the predicted damage output, and want to know what calculations are actually going on behind the scenes

the easiest way to see the numbers lie is by shooting a tele boss as the health bar is correct. which is why our testing trial uses it

Well I know they guarantee one on any tp event, but I’m wondering if mountain shrines will also contribute items. Sacrifice makes it so items only drop from enemies, which seems like it might not affect that potentially, which also means mountain shrines just make it harder with no real reward lol

Most anything doesn’t. Drones don’t either. It’d be a little strong if you could just constantly hang on a rope and just wait till everything dies to passive damage

What exactly constitutes "backflipping" with the kill provi while backflipping achievement for sniper? I've killed him a couple times by shooting him as soon as I can after using the backflip but I can't seem to get the achievement

if youre zoomed out you should also just be looking around your screen for chests and interactables

if it stayed silver, might be a glitch, but if it switched to white/silver for a second and then goes back to bronze it probably just does that when you switch to it
does anyone know if its possible to combine rock golem drones? Theres sprites in the data file for a golden rock golem drone, but I cant get far enough without them dying to combine them
Looking in the sprites theres no animation for the little start turning silver, each equipment has only one frame of just the item sprite.

Does aegis have a sound effect? I started getting this weird noise at random intervals during a run and eventually I realized it seemed to be happening whenever my barrier activated from aegis. I had just enough healing to continually go back and forth between no barrier and a tiny bit, so I constantly had this noise playing. Anyone else experienced this?

Don't focus on killing stuff, just run around looting the stage, hit the teleporter as soon as you see it
The trick with robomando is to outscale the difficulty by zooming through the stages to make up for your absolutely atrocious base damage output

An easy way to check in game if it’s just a visual bug is if you have drifter and her cubes unlocked, seeing if the cubes interact with geysers

Ah. Just thought I'd ask! There are some specials that would be funny to spam/have extras of. Yet, you get enough Mags on some secondaries, and other skills become... kinda obsolete. For example, Pilot on Mags is also on absolute crack.

Hi y’all, I’m wondering about RoR Returns’ performance on Nintendo Switch. I prefer playing things on console vs PC cuz I’m used to controllers and I only have a laptop, but the bullet hell sections of RoR2 could be pretty taxing on the system and the Switch isn’t very powerful. Anyone run into limitations on the switch during intense gameplay? Any recommendations either way for PC vs Switch?

i play on switch and i only experience some lag or stutter if its alot of enemies near eachother with fireworks and whatnot
even on my 2nd loop, its pretty stable
The switch runs pretty stable though some artifacts and items can cause slight performance issues

I tried rorr and it feels so confusing and weird to me, i think the game being 2d in conjunct with the mechanic to find the teleporter really throws me off, makes me feel super anxious that im just going the wrong side and idk maybe i just had a bad start with the game
Is this normal to feel this weirdness about the game? should i just invest more time and it will make sense?
IMO it’s better if I’m going away from the teleporter, cause then I can get more items. But the maps are small enough that you can search the whole thing in 5-10 minutes

Without further context both of your assumptions fit. Though eating the actual jar fits more as the typical phrase, which you used, would be 'eat a whole jar of pickles' which suggests a jar-sized amount of pickles.
And with the options you gave it can't be both; you can't eat the whole contents of a jar and eat just the jar without it's contents at the same time. They're mutually exclusive.

You need to kill acrid with chef's COOK skill, which is their alt special. Aside from that, if you have already got all of the prisms, there aren't any more secret skins. There are the ones you get from providence trials, and also one for each survivor for beating judgement with the respective one, though those aren't hidden. Keep in mind that robomando has no judgement skin
