fun fact for when you guys get to halcyon shrines, if you have a gold orb and do them, they can spawn a gold portal
i've had that happen in a run, wasn't sure if it was because I was on the path to false son or because I had the halcyon seed
or something else entirely
i didnt take the halcyon seed, so who knows
(i did auroleonite to get on the path)
also if an equipment drone has the seed of life it can revive players, not sure about itself though
also with either command or sacrifice, prime meridian's halcyon beacon thing just spawns 2 white items

Does anyone know how growth works math wise? The secondary seems to cap out at 20 stacks but certain items like the stone Pauldron increase the cap by x amount. It’s kinda weird I ended on 11k health and only had 44 stacks of my secondary

so yeah, after testing the item seems to be working correctly my bad, dunno what that line is then
that line's for a buff and not the item
when i gave myself the buff there was no visual for it
and it didnt even seem to work
the buff and the item are 2 distinct things

the file you need to modify is output.json if you wanna see changes in the game

Been looking into Sonorous Whispers & it's item drops
"Large monster" Seams to = Tricorn applicable creatures
But when a drop happens it has these weights for rarity:
80/101 White
20/101 Green
1/101 Red
antler shield proc formula - seems to be 50% (+5% per stack) and not 55% like the description says
With an item count of 1 wouldn’t that be equal to 55%

Prayer Beads is misleading/bugged:
- upon removal from inventory, should give 20% (+5% per item stack) of damage/health/regen/max shield(??) per level, per stack of the buff
- what happens is, when the code checks for how many prayer beads you have to calculate the bonus stats, the prayer beads are already gone from your inventory
- since the code is basically
bonus stats = 20% + 5%*(itemCount - 1), and the itemCount is always 0, we end up with a 15% stat boost per stack of the buff, regardless of how many prayer beads were in the inventory - the buff stacks are also not granted on level up, the beads have their own "xp bar" that fills up alongside survivors
correction: itemCount is 0 if you scrap them, but if you use printers or cauldrons to remove the beads one by one then the stacking does work, it just doesn't take into accounts the beads that was just removed
electric boomerang's damage is weird - with 100 base damage, the damage numbers vary, they're either 42 or 120, regardless of the attack that triggered them (so not total dmg)
oh my god it does 30% of SAWMERANG'S DAMAGE
because it uses the same projectile
and sawmerang does 400% (400 * 0.3 = 120) then 140% (140 * 0.3 = 42)
not sure I'd call it awesome (how do you mess this up) but yeah it's a fun find

Well the proc chance is based completely on the damage dealt, but someone like Commando is going to have a 6% chance to activate it at base since his M1 deals 100% damage.
With the item having a hard cap of 50% chance (without Clover) and 7500% damage.

The part that scales with stacks is the scaling based on higher damage hits.

hey!! i just got perms to edit the ror2 wiki's global css and i did some updates:
- updated infoboxes (they use the in-game font and get centered on mobile)
- updated lore (now looks almost identical to in-game, no longer extends off-screen on mobile)
- fixed survivor skills being completely unreadable on mobile (also fixed them extending vertically if they were parallel to an infobox, so you shouldn't need to have {{clear}} near the top of survivor pages anymore)
- changed font on buttons in the main page (also updated the Survivor and Environment lists to no longer be alphabetically ordered)
please let me know if anything looks bad or is like horrendously broken

Was gonna ask a lot of stuff about seeker here and how weirdly it is mentioned in the commiunity and through the wiki but I noticed that upon revisiting it after two days a lot of it has been added which is really awesome and I wanna thank yall for that. I do still have two questions, I heard that tranquility increases soul spiral damage by an amount that is most definitely not just from the Stat boost and I'm curious if it's true? Why does chronic expansion increase damage by how much it does if every instance of the buff past the first is 1% and it isn't even total damage but your base level 1 stats which is usually 0.12 that's like, idk, i feel like I'm missing something

Ultra specific question I'm expecting no one to have an anwser to but if an attack one shots an enemy regardless of runald's band but it still procs does the damage still increase? I'm assuming not because of it not being effected by crowbar but I would love to be wrong. I'm theorycrafting what combinations of items would enable the highest damage and so far im at 12 quintillion damage dealt

It Is really really weird though because the logbook said that the most damage dealt in one hit was 9 quintillion which is the integer limit BUT for some reason the damage dealt Stat changed between 3 quintillion and 12 quintillion every single time I dealt damage for some reason

I saw it in the main discussion and just had to do it. I also changed the animation speed to nearly match the in-game animation speed.
I did it for every sprite. Even the icons. I also added backgrounds to make any transparent pixels look transparent.

note that guaranteed spawns like the stage 5 drone combiner seem to be absent from the data -- i'm not sure why. maybe the stage itself spawns it independent of the director

so I have a modified main.trials file that basically acts like a test lab
I record short videoes and use a video viewing software called mpc-hc64 that's accurate to the thousandth of the second
for example
I also use a mod called no random damage numbers
Oh yeah, drone DPS and cooldown info would also be useful.
