you can get young vagrant as a proper enemy with dissonance
well, first when Bizz put the word "travel" in his pronouns section people later on realised that he was talking about the travel ids for the survivors in the logs and those ids can actually be translated and somehow the ids for pilot and loader combined helped to find out about the missing steps for robomando

Is it known how enemies become stronger as time passes? I know in the second game monsters also have a level and each monster has its own stat scaling. In this game, the logs do not mention monster stat increases per level.
when I was looking at elite HP the monsters leveled up when I leveled up

In the original game, monsters didn't have levels. Instead, their health and damage was multiplied based on the current difficulty and a certain coefficient.
I would assume that the remake does something similar.

The original can have modis that are decimal, so strangely looking numbers are common there.

there is no tool to access the game code with they way it's compiled
i mean u can just compare scaled enemies to other scaled enemies we know the bases of, then figure out the multiplier and reverse it right?

cross-check it with a few others to make sure whether its just a simple multiplier or a percentage based one or something
If scaling is held over from Risk 1 (dangerous assumption), enemy scaling happens every minute.

I had agreater wisp spawned at 1 minute and 4 seconds or so in monsoon, has 549 HP now

i previously thought it was linear but i want to retest that
no matter how many you stack, a CAC will never kill a boss, even if its already on one health remaining
as far as i can tell, CAC will not do any damage once the enemy is at ~30% health (again, need to confirm)
in some cases, if you get the boss to below 30% before CAC activates, the damage number will pop up and say 0
Also I forgot ror2’s bandolier had its own formula

malachite and celestine are far closer to normal elites than blighted is
considering that they are tier 2 elites, rather than a sort of mega-elite

It's still a "step up" compared to Tier 1 elites, though they can occupy another section because they share similarly increased stats while being a pair.
I would say Blighted is comparable to a malachite in terms of danger, they just go about it differently

I think you can force load stage 5 as stage 1 if you go into the game files and rename the stage folder
you have to delete or move all stage 1s and then copy and paste your desired destination 12 times, renaming them all to match the old stage 1 names

the judgement skins technically count as secret unlocks, as the challenges are hidden. Pilot, Miner, and Commando also have non-judgement trial skins but they aren't secrets

Yes, Lights out does 60 damage, which does match up with 12 damage at level 1.
So his primary just has wrong numbers in the description.

so since pilot has no armor I can assume whatever an enemy hits me for at lv1 is its base damage right

Gigantic Amethyst, Prescriptions, Shield Generator, Pillaged Gold and White Undershirt (M) (not even an equipment I'm dumb).
I don't know about Strange Battery and if somebody could double check Unstable Watch that would help.
undershirt has no cooldown because its not an equipment, amethyst is 8 seconds

being wrong is the first step to being right, or something!
cuz I've used it on a horde of sand crabs and didn't kill them all so I decided it stops after a bit
I had a LOT of mistakes at first
But was also just ballparking it until I got serious
i think its less that its a hard cap on an amount, but it loses damage each pierce so it just becomes 0% at some point
that also makes sense
I believe it's halved with each enemy pierced
I tested it with Pilot's primary, and it was definitely close to 1/2^n
But I can't say with total certainty
because damage numbers are lies except for boss healthbars

Sniper's also seems to follow the 1/2^n rule

theyre all sealed up but the survivor is just a scavenger sticking things into their body

Also one thing I noticed with the (lying numbers) of snipers perfect reload, the bonus damage comes up as a separate number But that part doesn’t seem to have a range of damage
So it might be that the main damage part lies (has a fake range) but the separate bonus damage doesn’t?
Same thing applies to burn ticks. I'm not sure which ones are obfuscated and which ones are legit, but some definitely are real.

I also do not understand how this game rounds damage values. I've had to do a bunch of testing at 10x damage for low damage abilities to be sure what their values really are.
I had a “conversation” with someone in one of the chats because they kept saying bonus damage was part of the calculations for things and I found every “bonus damage” item or skill comes up as a separate damage number
Only exceptions I know of are the Hit List, which increases base damage, The Toxin, which increases damage taken by an enemy, and anything else that either boosts your base damage or enemy damage taken

Also the items that are most useful for Acrid and Artificer, since their DoTs depend on base damage
