[1.6.0] Adaptive Arachnyte type and ability glitch out

I went to play some ranked yesterday, and in my first match my Adaptive Arachnyte turned into an electric type. In the next battle, it showed up as an electric type in the team selection screen and when I went into battle, using an electric or digital type attack on it showed the ability proc but did not actually do anything. It wasn't until a nature type move was used on it that its ability was activated. This issue was not present in subsequent battles.
