Not a bad idea tbh
i think the challange was worded a bit badly, the original intention was to make an HP system where you dont have the movement of the bar seperate from the updating of the bar. The main benifit behind it would be that you could update damage numbers mid-game, and do things like a 50% damage reduction easily
the challange shouldve been "make an HP system where you can change the amount of damage taken from a source to any value"
i take the L on this one, i also worded it bad in the suggestions

Oh, a continuous hp bar. Most submissions (if not all) I’ve seen for this challenge use a Minecraft style of hp bar

I assume you make the hp bar using gradient but then how to change it without move trigger
cant you technically also use scale/keyframes
like i said i worded the original idea suggestion badly.
i wanted to ensure you dont just put move trigger + number change. That is what i did in my earlier projects to do damage and it sucked. Any sort of damage change would need a new class to move bar and damage seperately.
it could be split into 2 ideas
